Here’s a commission for a local artist Luminescent Sky to use for promotional purposes. Pretty proud with how it turned out! One of my first full pieces in Photoshop now that I’m using that some. A small portion was rendered in Procreate on my iPad.

I know this isn’t my usual drawing art but I’ve been breaking in my ipad and procreate this afternoon while I try to relax and get better from a long bout of sickness. Its pretty fun and a really awesome program.

I was going to do a 2018 summary of art but I apparently only did or uploaded these three things this year... I set up my cintique yesterday and I’m going to try and get back into art for 2019. It’s just been an art funk year and I need to stop making excuses and just draw again. Here’s to a better 2019!

This is my Fan Apprentice named Chriana. They like Chocolate, Chamomile tea and Lilac Wisterias.

Its been like a year and and a day since I drew it feels like… so yeah have this roughly digital colored pencil sketch!

Decided to try drawing a face based on this old tutorial again, I seem to do it every handful of years. There was an even older one but I can’t find it from like 2008 or something.

I don’t know if it counts as ‘improvement’ since neither drawing is really in my style? But it was a fun challenge non the less and I think at least the proportions are a little less weird this time around haha.

Every few years I compile a folder of art I really like and styles that inspire me and then pull bits from each little different thing that draws me to that particular piece. It helps me redefine my style and pull together the little marks I want in my art too. I want to get more consistent in what I draw so I’m going to work on redefining my drawings and settling on what makes it unique and more me, by paying attention to what drew my eyes to art in the first place. Secret Santa drawing for whisperity on DA. It’s their elder scrolls universe character Thandlsama and I tried a new coloring/sketching technique and I kind of like it.

Done in GIMP in about 1-2 hours with a wacom bamboo pen tablet.
