Making self ships is so funny because it goes from to aww cute couple to complex and fuck up people finding each other
#dipaku core#its so funny cuz like i only really share the sweet stuff w my friends and theyre like aw cute yeah paku would be so sweet to you#but like. theyre both clinically insane#paku wipes diegos memory in a desperate attempt to distance herself from them for their own safety#and then diego throws themself head first into investigating the phantom troupe#cuz everytime they pop up in the news they get a headache and nosebleed so CLEARLY they have some connection to their missing memories#then they reunite on the murder cruise and diego risks their life and the life of the infant prince theyre supposed to protect to save paku#then paku resigns herself to death in order to save her childhood friend/crime boss/crush#who then gets their coworker to lobotomize/acupuncture her to slow the consequences of her breaking her own nen contract#and then goes after diego because he thinks theyre why paku is like this#meanwhile diego is tearing their own hair out trying to find paku again because they need to know shes okay but when they do see her#she doesn't remember them#but through The Power Of Love she does remember them and rips out the needles basically holding her body together#and throws herself between diego and chrollo and begs chrollo to spare them as her last wishes#and then diego unlocks their Special Ability and fucking eats the physical manifestation of all of pakus suffering basically#sorry. for the essay in tags. as said before im clinically insane
