We were asked to animate a movie poster as our first project in animation. With the aid of my tutor I chose the poster for The Tale of Princess Kaguya. Because this movie was entirely hand drawn I thought It’d be fitting to animate the poster in the same fashion, I also have a great interest in hand drawn animation and wanted to try it out.
Hand drawn animation was far more difficult than I expected… I struggled to see the movement as I drew and relied on guessing through most of it. I will definitely be researching and practicing this technique during the summer holidays!
