New College Buddie AU in the Works

After getting a little glimpse over drunk and hungover Eddie at the end of 7x05, I had a need for something with party boy/frat boy Eddie. So I have this college AU where Buck is more the academic and Eddie is the partier. Buck goes by Evan, Eddie keeps calling him Buck. They have the same major, Eddie's trying to be friends with Buck/flirt with him. Stands him up for a date because he has to watch Christopher. Buck thinks he's lying. These are just thoughts for the story, haven't gotten to them yet. Anyway...

Here's a small bit of it:

“Sociology again? Didn't you take that last semester?”  “That was Intro. You know there’s more than one sociology class, right?”  Eddie reaches over, snatching the piece of paper from Evan. “Yeah, right.” He says, studying the list. “Hey, we’re in the same groups in everything but sociology.” He looks over to Evan and grins. “Now we have to be study partners.”  “We really don’t.”   “Awe, come on. We made a good team in Public Services, right? Both got A’s, and you know it’s probably your fault I have to take Intro to Sociology again since you weren’t there to help me. But now with you in the next class you’re basically a pro!”  “How did you manage to fail sociology? It’s basically all just... life views and different perspectives.”  Eddie shrugs. “I might have missed a couple classes.”   “A couple?”  “Okay most of them. But it was an 8am Monday lecture, who’s actually making it?”  “So you were too hungover to make it, is what you’re saying. Public Services was an 8am Monday, class and you made that just fine most of the time.”  Eddie reaches down, slipping the paper back into Evan’s open bag. “Well, I had good motivation to come to that class.” He says with a wink.   Evan feels his face heat up and he quickly turns away. “You’re an idiot.” He grumbles, shifting in his seat as the professor walks in.

Eddie and Shannon have their dinner after the FaceTime call, breaking up the timeline and days. The timeline is weird so it could literally be like 2 weeks later and she’s just pulled that shirt back into rotation, or it’s a favorite shirt (I know I’ll tend to wear a favorite at least once a week). It’s not even anything important 😂 just something I noticed rewatching because now apparently I’m catching all the useless details.

Can’t we just agree that in 7x04, Buck was seeking the attention of both Eddie and Tommy but in different ways? It took Buck until the end and talking with Tommy to realize exactly why he wanted Tommy’s attention, maybe even that he was looking for it at all.

I mean, you can’t dispute that he wanted Tommy’s attention, he literally went to the hanger, a place he never would have expected to see Eddie at all.

It was about Eddie and Tommy both. Buck saw himself potentially getting replace by Tommy. And Eddie was getting the time with Tommy Buck had been hoping for.

Can we let this argument go? Please 🥲 Can we let those who love Buck and Tommy love them, let them believe their endgame whether they are or not? Can we let the Buddie truthers continue to hold onto the hope for Buddie being endgame? Can we not be so hostile and negative? It’s honestly exhausting and toxic and so unnecessary.

Can we also get a better ship name than BuckTommy because that’s terrible and lazy 😅

For this rewatch I’m doing of 911, I’m actually marking each of the characters that appear in each episode. I decided to do it because of that one BTS video where they’re talking about 100 episodes and shun Ryan. If you go on IMDB all but Jennifer and Ryan are credited with all episodes, but they were in all of the them except Angela. So now I’m just curious and since I’m rewatching anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m at Hen Begins. It starts with clips of other episode in the beginning, so far that’s the only time we see Bobby, Buck, and Eddie. Question is, do I include them in the count for appearance if they aren’t in NEW scene for this specific episode? Do flashback backs really count for an appearance?

Rewatching 911, going through season 1. The Valentine’s Day episode where Chimney comes back to work.

With Tommy in the picture now for Buck as a romantic interest, I’m seeing on Twitter comments about his past relationships and people mentioning how fans always hate on the women Bucks been with.

Well, I found more reason to explain any dislike of Abby - not that we needed more because she just ghosted him.

Abby’s in the kitchen of her apartment, her mother and Carla are making cookies. She’s talking about Buck and says something about not caring is Buck’s just a boy toy and kind of complaining about him being worried about doing the wrong thing.

Buck told her when they first started talking and she called him to ask him out that he was trying to work some things out about himself. That he had issues with intimacy and he didn’t want to just jump into bed with her, as was his habit at the time. He’s being open and honest and really setting a boundary for himself. He likes Abby and wants to approach any potential relationship right, not jumping back into old habits he’s trying to break.

She’s an asshole for not only complaining about it but criticizing him behind his back. He’s being open an honest about something and she just wants to get laid, not carrying that Buck doesn’t want to be a boy toy. She doesn’t care if they just fool around casually because she hasn’t had sex in a year but that’s something Buck is not trying to do and he’s very clear about that.

She’s a selfish person. Her taking care of her mother and the sacrifices she had to make to do that doesn’t make her a good person. She doesn’t respect bounties, even if she never actually crossed any she spoke out about it behind Bucks back. She’s an asshole.

This is why I rewatch things. It’s not that I’ll miss stuff, I see it or hear it, but I don’t always necessarily process it in the moment.
