as someone who worked retail during the ps5 launch, its really safe to say that aside from scalpers, the only reason ps5's were so scarce was because when they got shipped to stores the boxes they were shipped in, there were like, 2 consoles max. The switch 2 shipping boxes probably have ~4 in each box, so people saying its doing poorly because they still see systems on the shelf is a little dumb to me ngl

Technically you bought the license to play on the switch 2, not the actual console itself. If you try to modify it or use it in a way nintendo doesn't like, they'll try to take the console back. Also be careful, it has worse battery life than the original switch.
