I am 33 and single again after 8ish years. I am absolutely thrilled. I finally got up and said fuck this, I’m gonna say the thing I’m scared to say and I did. And now I’m free and definitely a new me. No longer a bird in a cage once I realized I held the key the entire time. No longer supporting someone financially who does not love me the way I wished to be loved. I’m so excited for what the future may hold. If I find love again, great! But otherwise I’m content to see the world and experience new things and consciously make an effort to be my most authentic self, now that I’m learning who she is.

i’m so appreciative to suzanne for reframing the rebellion from the original trilogy as a “they saw their moment and took it” type situation and showing us that they’ve been trying, over and over, with so many failed attempts, to break the arena and incite a rebellion for decades. in this current political climate never giving up hope is so essential. haymitch wasn’t the first nor the last, and they kept going even when it seemed completely futile, and that’s what counts, and what ultimately saves them all.

I bet it feels good as fuuuuck to slightly draw your sword with all the other knights in anger when a treacherous knave shows their face in the court
