Yanmega - Have you ever had to deal with unreasonable expectations?

Frankly? I haven't dealt with them in the most healthy ways. Expectations are something that can crush your very soul, id recommend never getting into a field of work that expects so much of you like being a champion, the fame is great for a time but it wont be great forever, I assure you, its more than what any human can handle.

AH CATCH UP

Inco won both solos, surprise surprise.

Team doubles was cancelled so no battling with Arbi. Only against. As it should be.

An made a friend, someone else who got the title from a loophole. Laser tag battle. I hope An’s keeping contact so me and Jarabe can do our own laser battle against them >:)

I MET BRUCIE!!! He and his trainer (I’ll call her Cel) are influencer-Champions, post a lot of short vlog bits of their day-to-day and battling and whatnot. Brucie’s leg’s healing from a surgery so they didn’t do any battling this year. He seems to be in his usual spirits so wahoo!

About the solos, I somehow got Jarabe twice with The Jacks in between. First one went perfectly, even with the luvdisc knowing Chatter (switch out here, a luvdisc using Chatter on land sounds like it’s underwater and it is a little bit concerning). The Jacks were stars against their mabostiff opponent.

And then Inco happened. It was Jarabe against Crouton and she Protected the Prismatic Laser. Should have gone for it right out the ball… One Aurora Beam and we were out. Came 3rd overall which is not bad by any means. Effectively second!

They aren’t doing any battles. They’re just… Here. They have a right, obviously, still… would you choose to go somewhere where half the people hate you, even if you knew no-one would act on it?

Oh sure. The thing creates some stuff, leaves it to rot and try destroy itself, then “rewards” it by fundamentally changing it in a way that’ll ensure it succeeds the next time it tries and wants us to thank it. What a being worthy of anything remotely respectful.

Crunchie

As is true for all of Incognito’s pokémon, Crunchie is one of the most menacing beings to ever exist. This photo is when she was having a friendly battle against another friend of ours’ pokémon. I can confirm this is her being friendly.

Crunchie is aptly named, with most of her battle moves being bite-based: Fire Fang, Ice Fang, and Thunder Fang. She has used all of the above at once before. It didn’t go well for her but it went worse for Inco. Her having Strong Jaw just makes her so much more terrifying when she begs for food.

Her fourth main move is Shadow Bone. Uses shadowy, ghostly energy to form a bone to club the opponent. It can weaken opponents defences so her biting attacks hurt more. Cycle of violence, game of fetch, what’s the difference really?

I was hoping for another fang/jaw attack but the move still fits the dog theme at least.

mudpie

I never understood the internet’s hype around clodsires, calling them the doofus to quagsires’ goofus and “no thoughts” and such. The closest I got to joining was thinking they looked kind but meeting Mudpie certainly disproved that.

“Sweet baby” Mudpie here is vicious. She is fully willing to smack down at anything — or, more accurately, Thousand Arrows at anything — at a moment’s notice. Gorge does not like her for many reasons but 1 is absolutely that she can hit him and keep hitting him.

She also has the Battle Armour ability because she wasn’t powerful enough already; she cannot be critted. The face of peace and love, everyone.

The first of Inco’s mons, I’ve already shown proof of species and move but I’ll do it all again since it’s no sweat. Will do this with the others that have proof out there. I think only Crouton is fully unknown at this point of writing? I’ve mentioned her species before but I didn’t proof it.
