I made a post that has pixel art of my recently made oc, but it has a paragraph of lore and music.

Is it too much?

Hey there,

I’m not super experienced when it comes to social media, but based on what I’ve observed, shorter posts tend to perform better. Just a piece of your art with a short description — maybe a few words about the artwork, a bit of lore, or something that invites interaction — usually works best. Long texts rarely work for me, especially if they’re not split into digestible parts.

As for music, it’s a great choice for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or animated formats where music adds atmosphere and helps set the mood. But on places like Tumblr, Bluesky, or Reddit, it’s much less common to include music with static art.

That said, if a specific song helps express your OC’s personality or vibe — and you think it will help your audience connect — go for it! 🎵❤️
