This is one of my older works. Basically, it takes place between BoTL and TLO. Percabeth pre-dating fluff, and angst so small it can’t really be considered angst.
CH. 1- Annabeth
Annabeth didn’t know why she had to run to this set of apartments. She didn’t know why that out of all of New York, the Harpies had to attack her here. Here, of all places!
Blood seeped out of the slash marks on her calf. She knew she needed to get help soon, but she had no supplies and no way to get to the bus stop where Argus was supposed to pick her up to bring her to Camp without passing out from blood loss. Luckily, she knew a safe place to go. Unluckily, it was the Jackson residence.
Annabeth didn’t really want to see Percy, not since they had the argument the past summer. If not for Rachel… Annabeth pushed her anger down. Priorities. Snow fell on her head and stung her face and arms. She had wrapped her jacket around her leg as a makeshift bandage, but it could only work so well. She opened the door to the entrance, praying the mist would make her look like… well, not a bleeding demigod with dirt all over herself. Luckily, the doorman barely looked up and went back to typing away on his computer.
Annabeth tapped the button that led to flor three, the floor where Percy and his mom lived. With any luck, Percy would be out and his mom would be home. Annabeth was tempted to run back out to the streets and try to find Argus, but she knew she wouldn’t make it for long. She wasn’t bleeding too badly now, but there was still bloodflow, and Harpies had notoriously dirty talons. Without proper care, she’d get an infection.
Plus, added a nagging voice in her mind, Maybe you can apologize.
No. She cut off the thought. She didn’t owe Percy anything, especially not an apology! It was his fault that he started valuing the company of a mortal over his friends, the friends that saved his sorry life several times!
But still… Annabeth didn’t like being mad at him.
Praying to Athena, she knocked on the door.
But of course, Percy just had to be the one to open it.
  Chapter 2
For a second, he just stood there, trying to process why there was a girl just bleeding on his welcome mat. Then he seemed to realize that- duh- this was Annabeth.
“Oh gods, you’re hurt. What’s wrong? What happened?”
“Just get me a bandage and let me leave, Percy.”
“Look, any other time, I’d be fine with that, but you obviously need more than a bandage. Come inside, and I’ll get my mom.”
Annabeth didn’t want to. She wanted to say no, but on the other hand, their apartment was so warm…
“Percy, who’s at the door? Oh, Annabeth, sweetie, what’s wrong? Oh, come here, let’s clean you up.” Percy’s mom swept in like a benevolent hurricane, making everything better in the way that only Sally Jackson can.
Annabeth let herself be led away to the bathroom by Sally, leaving Percy to try and think about what was happening. Annabeth felt weirdly happy, though- not that she was with Percy. She was still annoyed with him. But there was something about the way Sally helped her- it was like having a mom that actually cared.
“Honey, I’ve got the shower running, and here’s some clothes I kept from when I was a teenager.  I hope they fit!”
                 “I can’t thank you enough, Ma’am.”
Once Annabeth was finished cleaning up and bandaging her leg, she put on the clothes provided- a lavender long sleeved shirt, black tight pants with rips, and a light blue infinity scarf. Fancier than Annabeth usually, wore, but very comfortable.
She walked out of the bathroom and to the living room where Percy sat on the couch, listening to an mp3 player. No internet connection, so no monsters. Smart boy.
She reluctantly sat next to him. He looked up at her.
“Hey. My mom made us some hot chocolate, but she got a call from her publisher about an emergency meeting with the editor or something.”
“Thanks.” Annabeth took the mug off of the coffee table that Percy pointed to.
 “Look, Percy… I’m sorry.”
 “About what?”
“You know good and well. I’m sorry for being rude to you and Rachel.”
Percy looked at her and smiled, though it was a bit cold.
“I’m not as dumb as you think I am, Annabeth. I don’t know what exactly you two are arguing about, but I can tell that I have something to do with it. But that’s something to talk about when Rachel’s here. Right now, what do you want to do? We can watch a movie, or I think I have some board games somewhere…”
 “A movie’s fine.”
Percy went to the CD shelf. Annabeth sat awkwardly on the sofa, the air so thick with unsaid words.
“Percy, look… I don’t want things to be like this.”
He looked up, his ears slightly red. “Like what?”
Annabeth bit her lip. “Like… I don’t know. We’ve fought together so many times, and we’ve been through so much… I don’t want a simple argument to get in the way of that. Our friendship isn’t worth losing due to an argument. Truce?”
Percy smiled, for real this time. “Truce. Now, want to watch Hercules and make fun of how inaccurate it is?”
 “Of course!”

Hello.
Welcome to Writeyoursinsaway, a fanfiction blog. I write mainly PJO/HoO, Professor Layton, and originals. I accept requests and I will write for other fandoms, if I recognize them and know enough about them. I do not accept NFSW prompts, as this blog is suitable for minors, with the exception of some  cuss words and mildly suggestive material. You can ask me to write you something at any time. I am a beginner however; so don’t expect perfection. And with that, welcome to writeyoursinsaway.
