A YEAR OF WRITING AND ART
Hey friends! I can't believe it's nearly the end of 2024. I can't really believe everything that HAPPENED in 2024. It was a strange, beautiful, complicated year and I'm still digesting how I feel about it all, but one thing I know I'm grateful for is this fandom and this community and the precious friendships I've formed because of it.
Putting everything below the cut, since this is going to be long.
This year felt like a really tough one for writing, partially because of how much art I was doing and partially due to just being in a strange place about it. When I look back of what I accomplished it feels very scattered. In total I wrote about 70k words across 5 fics, two of which are still WIPs. My fic with the most kudos and bookmarks is Your Fragile Bones Are Mine.
One December Night (M, 11k)
I technically posted this on New Years Eve 2023 but it says January 1 2024 on it so I'm taking credit for it being from this year. Mostly because it's by far my favorite and also extraordinarily special to me. It helped me process a difficult loss in my family and I'm not sure I'll ever write anything that reflects my feelings about the holidays and the bittersweet nature of getting older quite so well. Plus it's got my favorite first kiss moment in any fic I've written.

The Art of Letting Go (E, 5k words)
Honestly it's such a miracle this horny little fic for EGF 2024 got written at all, but I'm glad it did. Like with the boys in this fic and their kinky experimentation and all the lovely complicated feelings that come with it, this story pushed me just a little outside my comfort zone. And that's a good thing.

Your Fragile Bones Are Mine (E, 40k words)
I think I was possessed when I wrote this fic. I've never churned out 40k so quickly. I have complicated feelings about this one, which makes sense because its a fic about complicated, messy, fucked up feelings. It was also a fic that was as much about the structure as it was about the emotional journey, and I really enjoyed crafting the narrative around the dual timelines. Nonlinear is a structure I'm probably never going to get sick of. I also appreciated going back to my roots with this one. I wrote my very first fic for this fandom about Baz's coffin trauma, and this feels like such an extension of those feelings over time. Write the trauma processing you wanna see in the world, etc etc etc.

Episode 6: Après la Pluie, le Beau Temps (M, 19k words) (WIP)
I guess we're continuing the theme of getting outside our comfort zones. I've never considered writing sci-fi before, I also really don't consider plot one of my strengths as a writer, so this one has been a particular challenge. But I love the character exploration and the chance to really get into worldbuilding, something I'm carrying over to future fics. It's taken me much longer to finish than I ever anticipated, but closing it out is one of the first things I want to do in 2025.

A Mild Case of Madness (M, 38k words) (WIP)
I consider this fic my white whale. I started it in 2022, the closest thing to an unplanned fic I've ever written, AND the closest to a comedy though I've been informed it's still angsty and soft. Who is surprise? The whole premise was "simon is unhinged, the musical." Do all the things, have all the fun. I 'yes-and'ed myself into absolute oblivion and whenever I return to it, it's a joy. I have the entire last chapter mapped out, and I think 2025 is my year to finally finish it. Hopefully with the boys happy and together, if still a little mad.
I was going through my art for this year and so much of it was for fic!
I have one for @cutestkilla's perfect gift fic for me, Hiding Out in the Open. The first kiss scene was so gorgeous I had no choice but to bring it to life. I also did my second (or maybe third?) illustration for her other fic, the INCOMPORABLE What's Left.

I became obsessed with all of @emeryhall's writing this year, but Only Creatures really dug its way into my psyche and I ended up doing four pieces of art for it. I can't recommend it enough.

@bookish-bogwitch really captured all of our hearts with bunbaz in both Basil Pitch's Diary and Wayward Bun and so I was completely possessed to draw a scene from BPD featuring him.

Notably, I also had the incredible opportunity to do a collab with Emery on Sidney Snow Grimm-Pitch, a gift fic for cutestkilla based on her version of the humdrum in What's Left. This collab was one of the best things I got to be a part of this year. Not just because the project itself was a joy, but because I had the excuse to talk to Emery nearly every day while making something for one of my very favorite people in the world. Plus I think the art is some of my very best.

I also did a couple of pieces for either my own fic or non-fic related, and spent a huge amount of time working on commissions that will hopefully finally be revealed in early 2025. So stay tuned. I think they are some of my best work.

When it comes to creativity, this year was a lot of feast or famine. I burned out pretty spectacularly, had a few emotional breakdowns, and am slowly figuring out how to pick myself up and move forward while still getting to make all the things I love to make. But one thing that I'm unendingly grateful for—the most important thing—is all the opportunities I had to create and/or nurture some really special friendships. This fandom is so precious to me. Even if I never made another Snowbaz thing again, it'd still be just as precious.
As someone we all know and love once said, "You're in me so deep, I wouldn't know how to dig you out."
All my love. Here's to a great new year.

Meet me <3
I'm a writer from Spain, and I'm on the lookout for some fun partners who enjoy gay romance stories as much as I do!
I have experience writing and roleplaying, but is my first time roleplaying in English! Be patient with me, I may say funny things because English is not my first language haha
The best way to know me, my characters, my plots and my style is to hit my DM's but here you go a summary!
💖 Genres & Themes:
• My primary focus is gay romance, often paired with subgenres like fantasy, sci-fi, slice of life, and historical settings.
• I also love alternative universes, and stories inspired by fandoms I adore! (Currently obsessed with Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston—but I have a huuuge list. I even do stories of your favourite song, try me!)
📚 Tropes I Love:
• Enemies to Lovers and Power Dynamics
• Childhood Friends to Lovers
• Fated Love
• Slow Burn
• Forced Proximity – Having to share a single bed? Oh no
• Fake Dating/Marriage – Pretending… until it's not.
• Love Triangle/Cheating
• Forbidden Love
🎭 Examples of Plots:
I love shaking everything of the above up and making a plot. For example:
Historical/Fake marriage? You've got Bridgerton Au!
Historical/Forced proximity? What about a mercenary in charge of kidnapping a duke and both of them falling in the process?
Or let's write about a soldier who is in charge of keep in eye on a village where a guy who hates war leaves in.
Fantasy? Let's do mermaids. Vampires. Some school of magic.
I really like lighthearted stories, but you want it darker? Let's make someone choose between pure, good love or an abusive, traumatic bond. I dig everything. From Study Ghibli to Saltburn, let’s do everything
✍️ Writing Style & Frequency:
• I prefer short and snappy exchanges but can adjust. I tend to be longer at the begging but when the world and mood is set, I tend to be effective but quick.
🚫 Limits & Interests:
• While I enjoy exploring psychological themes and power dynamics (even BDSM), I avoid super explicit or overly gory content. I enjoy emotional damage, not so much physical one haha and in special scenes I lean towards suggest more than extra detailed. But give me a chance, I'm good either way!
Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to write with you! 💌

I thought love was this thing that was supposed to tear you in two and leave you heartbroken and make your heart race in the worst way. I thought love was bombs and tears and blood. I did not know that it was supposed to make you lighter, not heavier.
