Writing be hard sometimes.

But mostly, it's been good right now.

For the first time in several years, I've been writing an original work again. And I literally am so happy to be creating a world and developing a story of my own again.

At this stage, I have so much to do with only so much time to do it in. And yet here I am on tumblr making a blog to make polls about writing.

And man am I curious to readers and writers a like what are your thoughts here...

Its insane to me when I hear how meticulously some people plan their long fics. It's not wrong if you do it, you're perfect, but I have no idea whats going to happen when I write. I have a vague idea of the history and the setting and what they have to accomplish but I don't know what the character will do or say until I write it.

Anyone else agree? Drop a vote. I want to know how others write.

I don't mean how many stories do you have total, I mean "out of all your ideas, how many are you always working on in some small way that you never stop working on?" As an example, I have like 100 different stories that I occasionally put some work into, but two main ones that I could never really take a break from. I think they're probably some of my most entertaining both to read and to work on, and are pretty ingrained in me at this point. How about you? If you want to elaborate on the number, what your system is, or talk about any of your stories at all, feel free to do so in the tags (just keep it clean :)
