“Filipino’s favorite dessert”
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
2 cans (15-ounces each) all-purpose cream
1 can (14 ounces) condensed milk, very cold
18 pieces graham crackers
1 can (30 ounces) fruit cocktail, drained well
Preparation:
Use a square baking dish that is deep enough for the multiple layers plus at least 1 inch of headspace so the top cream layer doesn’t stick to the film when covered. Make sure to drain the canned fruit very well to keep the extra liquid from seeping into the cake. I used Nestle’s all-purpose cream but heavy cream will work as well.
Make sure the cream has at least 30%milk fat content for sturdy foam and better peaks. For maximum volume, chill the cream and condensed milk until very cold. You can also chill the bowl and the beaters in the freezer for about 20 to 30 minutes. You can swap the graham crackers with broas (lady fingers) or digestive biscuits if you like.
Tumblr media
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose cream and condensed milk. Using a hand mixer at low speed, beat mixture until it begins to thicken. Increase speed to medium and continue to beat for about 8 to 10 minutes or until double in volume. Arrange one layer of graham crackers on the bottom of an 8 x 8 dish, breaking pieces as needed to fit sides.
Spoon 1/3 of cream mixture on graham crackers and spread to cover. Arrange fruit cocktail on top of the cream. Arrange another layer of graham crackers over the fruit. Arrange the last layer of graham crackers on top of the fruit.
Spoon and spread remaining 1/3 of the cream mixture on top of crackers. Arrange the remaining fruit cocktail on top of the cream. Cover tightly with plastic film and refrigerate overnight. Freeze for about 1 hour before serving, if you like. To serve, cut into squares.

“APOLLO”
Tumblr media
Pilots are responsible for the operation of the aircraft, the safety of the passengers and crew members, and all flight decisions once in the air. Their primary concern, however, is the safety of the plane and passengers. Those who work for an airline firm and fly people who are commuting or vacationing are the most well-known pilots. Their major role is to fly the plane, although they spend a lot of time doing other things during the day.
Before taking off, pilots assess the weather and confirm flight plans. Being an airline pilot is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding careers in the world, but it is not without its challenges. You'll be in charge of commanding commercial aircraft and flying passengers to long or short-haul destinations while working from an office in the sky and traveling across the world. Every aircraft will typically have two pilots: a captain and a supporting first officer.
They'll take turns flying the plane; one will handle the controls while the other communicates with air traffic control and fills out paperwork. Furthermore, who doesn’t love to travel right, one of the key attractions of this job is the opportunity to travel. As an airline pilot, you will have the opportunity to see areas you have never visited before! Pilots have leisure time in between flights to explore new destinations and immerse themselves in other cultures. One of the nicest advantages of working is that no two days will be the same.
Tumblr media
I've always been captivated by how pilots look when I pass them at airports when I was younger. For me, they have the best jobs in the world. Just look at how their office looks, it’s not just an ordinary office, it has big windows where you can see the clouds and some breath-taking views. Not many people in the world can say they have an office in the clouds. Most airline pilots say it’s a view they never grow tired of. From witnessing thunderstorms form in distant clouds, to looking out at a vast, never-ending blue sky, you just really can’t’ beat the view when you’re up there.
There are more benefits of being a pilot, some of it are; having travel discounts for your family and friends it is likely that you will have access to discounted (and sometimes free) plane tickets for family and friends, which means good deals on great vacations. And in addition to airfare, a number of hotels provide discounted prices as well. In addition to that, it's not your usual Monday through Friday work. Most pilots work for about 2-3 weeks every month, so you'll have the balance of the month to relax and enjoy yourself. Most pilots use this time to spend with their families, go on trips, or simply rest. Pilots have complete freedom over how they spend their days, and with a free ticket throughout the world, their options are practically limitless.
Being a pilot entails ongoing education. While knowing the rules and laws is crucial, learning goes beyond the books in this position. Behind the controls of a plane, real-time learning takes place, but fortunately, pilots can learn from everyone around them. Once the plane takes off, anything may happen, and pilots test themselves by going into a workday without knowing how things would turn out, but making it work nevertheless. So that being said, pilots also have the biggest responsibilities when flying the plane because the passengers’ lives are on their hands.
As a pilot, you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet new people. You'll meet people and cultures you might not have met otherwise, from your flight crew to passengers to residents of the cities you visit. Having to meet new people are also my most favorite thing, you can have friends from different parts of the world which means you could learn stuff from them like their culture, language, etc. I would like to end this writing by the quote saying “Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.” That’s all, thank you for reading.

Tumblr media
Datuk Lee Chong Wei DSPN is a Malaysian former badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 349 weeks, including a 199-week streak from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012. Lee is a triple silver medalist at the Olympic Games, and the sixth Malaysian to win an Olympic medal. He won his first silver medal in 2008, also the first time a Malaysian had reached the finals in the men's singles event.
Lee Chong Wei is a Malaysian professional badminton player whose commendable performances in the game for many years have earned him the title ‘Dato’ and the status of a national hero. Throughout his career, he has won several gold medals, including the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. He won a silver medal in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, me and my teammates watched that game when we were young. I remember it was when we were just in 7th grade, back when we were just beginners in our sport. We idolized a lot of famous badminton players back then and he was my idol, I was fascinated by the way he is playing inside the court, I will always copy and try some of his moves whenever I am training and playing with my friends. We even used to act the way our idols play in the court and we had so much fun doing it.
Lee Chong Wei was born on 21 October 1982 in Bagan Serai, Perak. He began learning badminton at the age of eleven, influenced by his father. He would train with a local coach every day after school. Misbun Sidek, Malaysia's former top badminton player, spotted him and drafted him into the national squad at the age of 17. Just like me I was also influenced by my father but my father isn’t a professional badminton player nor an amateur player, he really just play entirely for fun but I wanted to take that into another level that’s why I began to try out in my school. When I was in 5th grade I began training with my friends until our 4th year in high school.

In 2003, Lee Chong Wei reached his first major tournament final in the Malaysia Open. However, he was defeated by Chen Hong of China. In 2004, he won two titles - the Malaysia Open and the Chinese Taipei Open. He also qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where he defeated Ng Wei of Hong Kong in the first round but was defeated by Chen Hong in the second round. In 2005, he won two titles, his second Malaysia Open title and the Denmark Open. He also appeared for the first time in the World Championships and won a bronze. In 2006, he won three titles: The Swiss Open, Asian Badminton Championships and his third Malaysia Open. He also won two gold medals in men's singles and mixed team events in the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
He reached the top spot twice in the Badminton World Federation's rankings and participated in the World Championships as top seed. In 2007, for the first time in five years, he failed to reach the final of the Malaysia Open. He also lost five competitions afterward. Later that year, he reunited with former coach Misbun Sidek and won the Indonesia Open. In the second half of 2007, he won the Philippines Open, the Japan Open, and the French Open. He also suffered a knee injury that led to defeat in the China Open and Hong Kong Open. In 2008, he won his fourth Malaysia Open title in five years and the Singapore Open title. In the 2008 Olympic Games, he reached the final to be completely outplayed by Lin Dan, losing 12–21, 8–21.
Following a brief period of knee injury, in December 2008, he recorded his seventh consecutive win at the National Badminton Grand Prix, breaking Misbun Sidek’s record of six consecutive titles. In 2009, he won his fifth Malaysia Open title and later the Swiss Open title. In May, he helped Malaysia qualify for the Sudirman Cup semi-finals. He won the Indonesia Open and the Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold in June, the Macau Open in August, and the Hong Kong Open in November. In December, he defended his Super Series Masters Finals title.

Chong Wei married his long time teammate and companion, Wong Mew Choo on 9 November, 2012. The couple has two children, Kingston (born in April 2013) and Terrance (born in July 2015). His autobiography ‘Dare to be a Champion’ was published on 18 January 2012. Besides the book that he wrote he also had a movie about his life and badminton. The movie showed how he became a champion and the #1 in the world which my friends and I watched in the cinemas back in the day.
On 13 June 2019, Lee announced his retirement after almost a year since he was diagnosed with nose cancer and failed to return to competition despite dropping several hints that he would make a return in early 2019. This ended his 19-year-long international badminton career. The retirement came under his doctor's advice to avoid high-intensity training to avoid a relapse of his cancer. When he retired me and friends were really sad about it, realizing we would never see our favorite player of all time ever again. Until now we still watch some of his old games on YouTube, and continuing to learn from how he plays to become better.

"Unforgettable trip to Batangas"
Batangas City, often known as the "Industrial Port City of Calabarzon," is one of the Philippines' fastest urbanizing cities. The Batangas International Port, one of the Philippines' busiest passenger and container facilities, is located here. It also houses one of the country's largest oil refineries, three natural gas power plants, and a number of other big businesses. In addition, the city acts as the province's educational, industrial, and transportation hub.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My family and I visited Batangas, Philippines, on July 31st, 2017. We have a lot of relatives there, and we spent a few days there as well. Because our cousins who lives there is on our grandfather’s side, my grandma was the one who organized this trip. I had no idea that this trip would be one of our most unforgettable experiences.
From what I can remember, we travelled before even the sunrise we left here in Quezon city for Batangas at 2am in the morning and we arrived at 10am because we had a lot of stop overs along the way. I really like long car rides like this because it’s so relaxing for me, the cold breezy air hitting your face while the windows of the car are rolled down and listening to some relaxing music at your earphones, that kind of things are what makes the car rides better.
My other cousins are also with us while travelling so sometimes when we don’t feel like sleeping we talk a lot, like a lot a lot because we never run out of stories to tell to each other which are so much fun. We are mostly guys and that’s why we really are very loud when we are travelling together. But we also have younger cousins and that kids are much much louder than us especially when they are crying and we don’t even know the reason why.
As we enter Batangas’ area we came across many souvenir shops which are not to be missed so like a typical tourist we stopover those shop and bought our self some things that would make us remember this trip. That’s not all, we also stopped by to take pictures of some of the popular places in Batangas City as we stepped out of the car it’s like every man for themselves because each one took their cameras out and rushed to took some pictures of them on those great places.
After the very long drive all of us was exhausted especially our driver which is my uncle, he drove a great distance with just minimal rest every time we stopover some place. But it was all worth it when we finally arrived our destination, our auntie’s house, they were really happy to see us after a very long time you could see on their faces that they really missed as a lot.
After the greetings and small talks, we unloaded our baggage off the car and went inside the house to continue the conversations inside. Fortunately to us, the lunch is already prepared as we go inside, well what can I say; my Batangeña titas are the best. They served some delicious Filipino cuisine, there was so many foods on the table it’s like we got our very own fiesta for the whole family, I can’t even name all the foods that they served to us.
But all I can say is it was fantastic, we were very full and just like that our tiredness was almost gone. And then after the long lunch that we had because of the stories that we told each other it was finally time to head over our rooms to rest and get some sleep in the afternoon, for we still have a lot of things to do in the evening.
After we woke up, we got ready to go out again and explore the city, our first stop was to go to this local zoo, it’s so big that we have to ride this small buses just to get around the whole place and the kids loved it because it’s their first time seeing some exotic animals around here.
We took a lot of photos out there it's like we have pictures for each of the animals we encountered that day. After going to the zoo, it’s dinner time already, time really is fast when you’re having a good time so we went to eat in a restaurant, we were in long table and I was surprised that we could all fit in there.
As usual, there were a lot of conversations going on while waiting for our food to arrive and just like that we finished having our great dinner, the food that they served was really good, 10 out of 10 for that restaurant. We now head to our home to have a good night sleep cause we had a really long day and for tomorrow we are going to have a lot of adventures again
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next morning, me and my cousins got up a little bit late than usual because we had some fun last night, we were talking for a couple of hours before we decided to go to bed, and then we had our breakfast for the day as for it is also our last day in our auntie’s house, we are going to leave at night so we can have the whole day hanging out with them.
After getting ready, we didn’t waste any more time and went ahead to our first destination of the day which is going to the beach and ride some boats. First, we went around the beach by riding the boats and then after taking some handful photos we got off and went swimming with the family.
The weather was perfect that day, not so hot because of the clouds covering the sun. We then spent our day chilling in the beach waiting for the best part to happen, which is the sunset. It was amazing, sunsets really prove that endings could be beautiful too. And that wraps up our day and our trip to Batangas. Thank you for reading!
