I SEE A LITTLE SILHOUETTO OF A MAN, SCARAMOUCH, SCARAMOUCH, WILL YOU DO THE FANDANGO!
I know this is going to sound silly but imagine if the Nevermoor series took place in our universe. Then, imagine what would happen if Squall took one of us because we were in Morrigan’s position and he was like, “What song are you choosing for your summoning wunder song?” Like just imagine the responses he would get.

Hawthorne is wonderful and one of my favourite characters and i don't see how anyone could possibly hate him. he is chaotic in the best way :)
So ... To be honest, I hesitated for a while before writing this, but I've noticed that some (or even a large chat of the fandom), don't like, or frankly, can't stand Hawthorne and his family. And I'm exactly the kind of person whose favorite character is Hawthorne. I'm not offended at all, and I can even understand why some people don't like him... but over time, I began to notice that his personality is generally seen as an abusive and toxic teenager who creates all sorts of shit, and is an incredible dumbass. but please It's not like that at all. I do not deny that he can make stupid jokes, and generally do all sorts of bullshit, but we're all not angels, everyone has their own shortcomings Hawthorne is greatly underrated, he can also be sweet, sensitive I'm not the kind of person who likes to judge people for their opinions and tastes, but I don't quite understand why everyone doesn't like Morrigan's friend.

Hi! I have a quick question about Hawthorne's mom. How is she a worse influence? I think I have an idea of what you meant by that but I think I am wrong. Is it because she is reckless? Because I could have sworn that in one of the books she tells the Morrigan, Hawthorne, and Hawthorne's brother that they can have candy and stuff like that but the dad was the one who had to tell them not to eat too much.
Ah you see its because Cat (hawthornes mom) is the master. she is the Jedi and Hawthorne is the padawan. where do you think Hawthorne learned it all? I am in the firm belife that Cat activly encourages hawthornes mischief and is the reason why he grew up to be the trouble maker he is (while dave is frantically trying to deal with both Cat and Hawthorne and get them under control). maybe bad infulence wasnt the right word to use, but my point here is that i belive there a good chance that Cat is every bit the trouble maker hawthorne is and maybe even worse since she molded him to be just like her XD

Just a random thoughts post today
so i felt the need to make a post but have literally zero idea what i want to post so im literally just going to be listing off random thoughts i've had while reading the nevermoor books.
1. so fen was in a fight club and won several championships, does she still do it as a hobby and not competitively anymore or is she completely retired?
2. what do the witnesses see? seriously jessica i need like an actual guild that will show me what they see and what it means.
3. are we going to ignore the fact that hawthorne's mom may be an even worse influence then him????
4. Baz charltons knack. what knack could possibly be good enough to get even HIM into the society (and how on earth did he pass his three trials???)
5. family members can come into the Wunsoc campus to see their kids when their kid is in the infirmary/hospital and im assuming can be called to dearborn/murgatroids office when they are in trouble. so is there like... a parents day where their parents can come to school with them and get a look into their kids schooling and the society in general?
6. continuing off of number 5, morrigans parents obviously wont be coming so that leaves two openings. one, jupiter comes in her parents stead and gets to see Sub-9 and look at one of the ghostly hours which has the potential to be super cool. or two, we get some morrigan and lambeth bonding time since neither of their parents would be coming so the girls stick together through the whole day.

Okay so with books we don't actually get like a set tune to how the songs in the books go so i guess this is my take on Ezra's song he uses to call Wunder. i imagined it as a bit of an eerie lullaby and this is the tune that popped into my head. Morrigan's song is a bit harder to figure out but i will probably post my take on Morningtides child.
and yes. i have a soft voice and sound like a child, you don't need to point it out lol.

this is the game link for anyone interested in playing, it depicts how an abusive relationship works (platonic or romantic) and is a really interesting psychology game that really makes you think even hours after you've finished playing the ten minute game. (its free and can be played on a web-browser with no download)
overall it was a really great game and i recommend it to anyone who's interested.
Trigger warning: It uses a gender-flip to establish the dominance of the narrator and strip the player of their identity (just like how a real abusive relationship could work) so the game might be triggering to trans individuals since they would select man and get called a girl for the rest of the game. just adding it as a warning.
I just played the game Loved after my friend recommended it to me. And, let me just say. That was a wild ride. When they called me names, for dying, for failing, I felt bad. I did better. But at one point I noticed, and I was like heck no, and started doing it for myself. Because I wanted out. I started countering their insults, like when they called me ugly, I told myself I was beautiful. But then came the red dots. And. Let me just say. I hated them so much. I felt so cornered when they first appeared, and then they started to hang up on me and I felt absolutely helpless that I even went into a wall to escape them. And when they started ganging up on me, it only made me feel more helpless. Eventually though, I recovered and tried and tried again until I could get past them. At the end though, when there were what seemed like millions, I just ran. I was so afraid I just ran. I felt so overwhelmed and stressed that I didn’t even come up with a strategy. Just run. And when I finally got the choice to leave them, it felt so good. I wanted out. I didn’t care about them. Even when they said I loved you. I didn’t feel bad. But now, as I write this, I feel a little guilty. What if they needed me? But yeah my Wednesday’s going good how about yours haha—

What about Jack?
Really though. what about about jack? what is up with him?
why does he live with Jupiter? what about his parents? i assumed that he lived with Jupiter to be closer to his school but if that's the case then why does Jack stay at the Deucalion during Christmas and the summer? Jack never stays with his parents and never mentions them. why? the only real reasons i can think of is either his parents have passed on,
or,
he wasn't safe with his parents.
now personally i think it seems more likely that his parents are dead but jack being from an abusive home before jupiter came and took him in could be a real possibility. Abuse victims often develop to be very sarcastic, (one example of this that is never outright stated in the books is Percy Jackson. Percy is famously sarcastic and it is VERY strongly hinted, to the point of it being basically confirmed, that Gabe abused Percy. it is even confirmed at the end of the first book that Gabe abused Sally, so him abusing Percy as well doesn't seem like a far stretch.) Jack is famously sarcastic in the nevermoor books.
one last thing i want to point out is Jacks power as a witness, Morrigan was emotionally abused as a kid, Jack has seen her without his eyepatch. there is no way he doesn't know or at the very least suspects yet he never confronts her about it. maybe because he doesn't like talking about his own experiences himself and assumes Morrigan doesn't either. if she wants to talk she’ll come to him and he wont pry, he already knows more then a normal person should.
these deep thought posts seem to be my most popular ones (and the most fun ones to make) so I'm probably gonna keep focusing on these for my blog.

Anah: Candence, why are you up there?
Candence, sitting on a table: I pay rent and I can sit wherever I like in my own house thanks.
Anah, sighing: Where's the spider?
Candence: It's over by the door can you please-

Mog is a bookworm
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that morrigan is a bookworm?
One of us
One of us!
One of us!
ONE OF US!
:D
but seriously, i think this is something really important to her character that should be talked about more. Morrigan had a CRAP childhood so her being a bookworm makes me wonder if she used reading as a coping mechanism. Reading is an escape from the real world, and morrigan probably felt safer and more loved in these fictional worlds then she did at home. she didn't really have any friends growing up so i wonder if she would imagine herself as a character in one her books, what it would be like to know these people and have them care about her. i don't know if this was the intention of Jessica Townsend but if it was... good job with the subtle details.

you've doomed me. this is gonna play on repeat in my head for the rest of forever.
just learned that the word Corvus is crow in latin. Now I can’t get it out of my head that Morrigan’s dad’s name is Crow Crow.
