Thinking about how, compared to a lot of other characters, Scandalabra has THE most variation in how his story can play out. Not just in getting his ending, but before and after getting his ending too. If you've never been with anyone by his third day, he'll immediately ask for the kiss. You can then do the kiss to get his ending, or you can use specs points to get his ending sooner in a different tone.

He has dialogue for every single love ending in the game, AND variations on certain dialogues depending on how many love endings you've gotten.

He appears in a ton of characters stories, to the point where if you try to realize him early, Skylar won't even have specifics to say about it, he'll just refuse and go "oh.... you know >:)"

He has a whole goddamn alternate character route which gives him completely new dialogue for all these interactions.

Compared to other characters who have about 20-30 minutes of raw dialogue, he has almost an HOUR.

He has so much variation in his dialogue that I regularly watch people play and STILL get surprised and jumpscared by new dialogue on the regular.

And you know what's so interesting? If you really look at his actions, he is one of the most down bad characters for the player. Absolutely in love with them! There's tons of interactions he has that you would assume would've happened just because that's How He Is, but a lot of them don't even happen if you haven't met him! He's showing up specifically to see the player in a lot of instances!

He'll completely change his entire demeanor if you ask him to, just because that's what you prefer. Despite the fact that he was utterly terrified of everyone else learning about who he was, he'll throw that all away for the player in an instant.

The only reason he even strings the player along for so long in his normal route is because his entire thing is wanting to be seen as special and not get lost in the crowd. He wants to hold your attention for as long as he possibly can, even if that means invading other characters stories for a brief moment, or stringing you along on a wild goose chase, or making you kiss him three times over.

In fact, the only way to get his hate route? The only way to get him to dislike you?

The only way to get Scandalabra to hate you is to tell him he's boring. He'll take anything from you, even you trying to kill him, just as long as he's not boring.
