Not really sorry

I've been out of town and quite busy with a certain consultant. Things will be quite interesting in the future.

”You know who I am, Doctor Watson.” Charles could just eat the vulnerability up, maybe he will. ”What is in it for me?” He wasn’t intimidated by John’s stature nor demeanor. Keeping his hands behind him, Magnussen began to pace around John like a vulture circling its prey. 

" How about you get no where near my wife or child again? That would work out, yes? "

I’ve seen you have forgiven your “Mary.”

And here I thought you had ‘trust issues.’ My my. How the mighty have fallen. Do not worry just yet, Doctor Watson. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of time to have a ‘discussion.’

”You must forgive me for laughing.” Charles held an entertained smile and a glint in his eye. ”You have got the gall to ‘warn’ me?” Chuckling again, he wiped his lip lightly. ”As I remember, you just stood there whilst I flicked your face. Remember, Doctor Watson.” Any sign of amusement was non existent now yet that sickening glint held its court. ”Remember what I said about the people who seem very angry about your dear Mary. As for Moriarty…well. It will be interesting to see this play out.”

How do you put pressure on someone who has nothing left to lose?

It’s quite easy actually.

I do it all the time.

I do enjoy their confidence falling from their face, thinking that they had got the better of me.
