Harry: yeah. I'm alive.
Harry: I'm sorry I didn't reach out. They didn't think it was safe.
Harry: you're okay right? Luna said you got hurt.
Ginny: I know
Ginny: Yeah, i'm fine. You know me, can't sit still in a crisis.
Ginny: Anything you'd like me to tell the kids? I know the less messages the better. They miss you a lot.

Lily nodded to her mom, helping to take the muffin out of it’s wrapper for her niece. “And I never turn down an opportunity for coffee.” She grinned. “How’s your team doing- did the season start yet? I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the chance to check. I’m so sorry.”
“Only just barely.” Ginny smiled, “Don’t worry about it. I know you’ve got so much going on. Practices started on the first, but our first game isn’t scheduled till the end of the month. I figured James would be the only one who really wanted to go to any games, but you’re of course welcome to the family tickets if any of your friends want some.” She laughed.

Teddy stopped in the doorway when he saw the scene in the kitchen. He was about to knock on the doorframe to get her attention, but she’d already turned around. “Hi,” he smiled at his mum. “I just came by to get Iris.” Teddy nodded to the stove. “You okay?”
“She’s in the garden. I buried some jewelry in the flower bed and her and Hugz are digging it up.” Ginny gestured through the garden doors. “I was making some dinner, but doesn’t look like that’s going to work out.” Who was she even making it for anyway. At her son’s question, her shoulder’s dropped. “I could say yes, but I would be lying.” She offered a sad smile instead.

Ginny smiled at her daughter across the small coffee table they’d chosen. “I’m so glad we found time for a girl’s day. I’ve been around too much boy energy lately. I need my girls.” She looked between Lily and Iris who was currently sporting bright red hair to match her family. “I’ve been craving a good brunch lately.”

Ginny rolled her eyes at the daily prophet headline. She couldn’t even believe she’d given it the time and attention and now she was pissed. “What am I? Sixteen.” She curled her fingers into fists in frustration and groaned. Two things happened after that. The stove on the fire burst into flames, she’d been stress cooking (thanks molly), and Teddy walked into the kitchen. Ginny was positive she looked a mess. “Hi.”

“Hi,” he smiled when he opened the door, leaning over to kiss her cheek. Teddy snorted and pulled back, shutting the door behind her when Ginny walked in. “She’s in the kitchen finishing breakfast. Probably.”
“Probably?” She gave him a teasing look, “You don’t know for sure? She’s not that hard to pin down, darling.” Ginny headed for the kitchen. “Everything’s good?”

Ginny apparated just outside of the door to her son’s and knocked on the door loudly. “I’m looking for a newly married man who used to be my son? But mostly to see his daughter because I like her more!”

Ginny stopped, checked her purse and all of her pockets, and then looked up, “Mm, I don’t have alcohol, but I could conjure some coffee. But what if instead of either of those things, we do something else entirely.” She smiled hopefully. “I need to prank my husband.”
“Unless you’re here to give me coffee or something alcoholic, I’d advise you to not.” Gabe tossed the file he was working on aside. “I don’t think my brain can handle anything else.”

“Never been quite the Prophet fan, but that’s just the trauma.” Ginny joked. “I had noticed nothing’s blown up recently though. They always do thrive more in chaos.”
“It’s obviously a slow news day,” she huffed, skimming through the Prophet to see if there were any stories they’d missed. Pursing her lips, she huffed, “Can you believe how gossipy they’ve gotten lately?”

Albus cursed quietly, freezing when his mother held up her wand. “Can’t a boy visit his family? And possibly get some leftovers…”
“Not when that boy hasn’t seen his mother in three days.” She turned around with her hands on her hips. The classic “mothering” stance that she learned best from Molly. “Don’t I get a hello?”

“Freeze.” Ginny held her wand up and actually froze whoever was walking behind her into her house. “What do you want?” She called in a sing song voice while she finished what she was doing.

“You love being off from quidditch? Why did I hire you?” Ginny teased her niece. “It’s gotta be weird having so much free time too.”
“I love being off from Quidditch, but this time after Christmas and between New Years is so weird. It feels like a weird time paradox and I get so tired all the time.”
