The new chapter of my ~incompetent parent trap~ fic is up! Wanda struggles with her powers, David struggles to act normally around his crush, and Charles and Erik struggle...well, you can guess. 😊

“Look, I’ll apologize once more for our altercation that evening,” Dad says. “I certainly have my fair share of detractors—I should be able to handle criticism, in all its forms.” Wanda bites her lip. “I’m sure he didn’t mean—” “Oh, trust me,” Dad cuts in, still smiling even as he shakes his head. “He did.” David frowns, thinking about the Mr. Lehnsherr from that meeting versus the one he had dinner with last week. It’s not like they’re separate people or something—Mr. Lehnsherr had been pretty blunt with his opinions during the meal—but it’s still kind of hard to reconcile the two.  Just like it’s kind of hard to reconcile his father’s reassurances with the memory of him nearly losing control of his telepathy as they shouted at each other. “Please don’t worry, though,” Dad continues. “I’m quite certain your father and I will be able to handle our differences like adults.”

Hello X-Men fans - it's Remix time again! Please provide input on the timing for this year's event!

But what is Remix exactly? Remix is a challenge where you rewrite someone else's X-Men story or redraw someone else's X-Men art the way you would have written/made it if it were your story/art.

What is X-Men Remix Main? X-Men Remix is when you sign up, you will be matched with another participant in the exchange and be asked to remix their work. Someone else in the exchange (not the person you write/draw for) will be remixing one of yours. Remix is a GIFT EXCHANGE i.e. you will get one of your works remixed.

What is X-Men Remix Madness? X-Men Remix Madness is when you sign up to give anyone permission to Remix any of your works (you may list safe stories which can not be remixed). You do not have to sign up if you only want to remix others but don't want anyone to remix your works. Remix Madness is a PROMPT CHALLENGE i.e. you are not guaranteed to have any of your works remixed. The next chapter of my David & Charles (+ antagonistic cherik lol) fic is up! Featuring David being clueless on like 19 different fronts, plus one of my favorite things to write in this story, David & Erik. 💞

When Mr. Lehnsherr enters the flat he freezes, his eyebrows shooting up dramatically. “I didn’t realize we were having company this evening.” David looks at Wanda, who has a sheepish expression that matches the faint embarrassment she’s giving off. “Yeah, uh…” “I’m sorry, Mr. Lehnsherr,” David says, looking back at him. “I didn’t mean to—” Mr. Lehnsherr waves a hand. “You don’t need to apologize. It’s my children who have a hard time retaining basic manners.”  David glances back at the twins. Wanda is still projecting embarrassment, but Pietro just snorts and folds his arms across his chest as he slouches even more.  Mr. Lehnsherr rolls his eyes. “Who am I kidding? You can’t retain what you never learned.” He places his briefcase on the sofa so he can shrug off his jacket, which sails through the air towards the row of hooks by the door: it lands perfectly, even though Mr. Lehnsherr isn’t looking at it at all. And then he says, “Well, David, would you like to stay for dinner?”
