Finally finished writing a one shot from the Trans Genya au I had mentioned multiple times. It's a Genmui fic.

First post of 2025. I had planned to finish writing a one-shot before now but got distracted. Here's a somewhat rushed genmui drawing I did because I got a tablet for christmas. I'm not an artist, but you got to learn somewhere.

I just found an old story I was writing from when I was in intermediate. Guys I had a massive Wings Of Fire (WOF) phase back then 😭

I'm kinda compelled to rewrite that story but I don't know if I'll publish it. I got it from my old Wattpad account. So it's like got the edited ship drawing as the book cover. There's only one chapter but I must've deleted it because there's nothing on it.

preteen me thought this was an amazing cover. I means it's not overly horrible but damn I went hard on Ibis paint x.

Me ranting...

My determination to write my trans Genya au has increased. I looked up on ao3 to see how many fics have trans Genya fics, and there are like fourteen (14) fics under trans Shinazugawa Genya tag.

The worst thing is that five (5) of the fics are Sanemi/Genya and mostly explicit. Like wtf. I'm not a fan of incest but also from the tags a few of them are non-con which just rubs me the wrong way. There are two Gyomei/Genya fics under this tag and both have rape/non-con as a warning... it concerns me how many hits they have but people write what they want.

The other fics beside Sanemi/Genya and Gyomei/Genya under this tag are like kny one shots or Genya/Aizetsu or the other Hantengu clones. There is one funny thing I got from searching under this tag:

This caught me off guard seeing this tag but it did make me chuckle a bit.

I don't plan on reading any of the fics under the trans Shinazugawa Genya tag because most of it is smut. I have nothing against smut fics but I don't like how Genya is treated from what the tags imply. Hell Muichirou has twenty-five (25) fics under trans Tokitou Muichirou, most are smut fics but he has at least two (2) or three (3) fics about him suffering through gender or body dysphoria.

Genya should be able have fics like that. That's why I plan to write a fic - possibly a long fic - of his transition. I have dead name for him already. The fics I plan on writing with a trans Genya are more gen/fluff fics, and I just hope they turn out good.

Ever since I made that post about a trans Genya au, I have like three story ideas around that au.

A Genmui fic where Genya comes out to Muichirou

Another Genmui fic where Genya bumps into an extended relative who's transphobic and Muichirou deals with them.

the last one is more focusing on Genya's transition and how his close family feel about it. More Sanemi and Genya's relationship than anything.

I hope to actually write these because this au has been circulating in my head for a while now.

It feels like I haven't been on Tumblr in ages, I only have one more exam before I'm finished school for the year and won't have to go back until the start of February so a lot of free time for me.

I have plans to finish writing/start writing many of my planned fics. Most of them are Genmui related, a long fic and a few short fics. Hopefully I'll have finished them by the end of December.

I have just finished watching Good Omens and season 2 has left me devastated. It's a great show and Aziraphale is my favourite character. But I mean Aziraphale is a little cinnamon roll with a love for books and honestly that might be because I too am a very trusting and forgiving person. I now want to make some fanart or something of Crowley and Aziraphale but I'm also busy with other things...

Having parasitic brain worms about Sanemi calling genya “baby, my baby” like yes that is his baby that’s his baby brother, Sanemi talks fondly about “my baby/my baby brother” and they’re expecting some like actual kid with a lollipop and propeller hat (like that one from SpongeBob) and not a 5’11 burly teenager with an rbf that looks like he will eat you alive and sanemi just goes “yes this is my baby/brother 🥰”

Umegen is so special to me because like, it’s not wrong to say that Genya would probably be the first guy ever to not want to date her for just sex or because she’s the prettiest girl in school or whatever, his compliments are always sweet, he calls her pretty, classy, gorgeous. He holds her hand and buys her flowers and gifts without expecting anything in return. And ume just, does not know how to process that. She’s flattered, she feels like an actual school girl for once and not japans top model or whatever. She’s a teenage girl with a boyfriend who appreciates her and she realizes she doesn’t feel pretty in the vain way, she just feels pretty.

Unhinged observation

The many voices of Sanemi

In Genya's flashback, one of the things people talked about was how unnaturally deep Sanemi's voice was, which by the way is not all that surprising. Sanemi is five years older than Genya and in the flashback Genya looks to be around 9/10 years old which puts Sanemi at 14/15 years old(Sanemi's just small for his age, probably due to malnutrition), and it's not uncommon for boys to have deep voices around that age.

But anyway, something I noticed is how Sanemi's voice changed when he told Genya to run as he tackled their mother out the window. His voice sounded like that of an actual kid. He probably deepened his voice to sound more like a father figure, so his siblings feel safe, but when they were put in actual danger the facade dropped and all we heard was the voice of a scared child.

We also see the same thing when the Ubuyashiki mansion exploded, I'm surprised no one is talking about Sanemi's small gasp after the mansion blew up. For just a fraction of a second he was back to being that small, scared and confused child he was when his mother attacked the family.

We also have the low, rough voice he uses with Tanjiro, Genya, Giyuu and the other junior slayers which is supposed to project this tough and scary image.

Then we have the low but somewhat normal voice that he uses when he talks to Obanai and Muichiro, as well as when he talks to the Master and Amane.

All this gets me excited for Soft Sanemi's voice that he will use when talking to his mom, Nezuko, Genya and when he talks to a dying Masachika (and probs Giyuu).

I'm redoing this poll because last time it ended in a draw.

This is for a GenMui fic I'm writing it's a one-shot where Genya and Muichirou find this new born girl on a mission where her parents had died. They take her in as their own daughter. I'm planning to name her Aiko but that name can have different meanings and I want her name's meaning to be mentioned in the story so could please vote for the meaning you prefer.

Unhinged observation

Kaburamaru hissing at Suma

His hissing wasn't for nothing. He was protecting Obanai.

Let me explain:

Although Kaburamaru has a mind of his own, most of the time he mirrors Obanai's emotions. Like when he was threatening Tanjiro and during Gyomei's clapping.

When Suma was reprimanding Obanai, you could see that she was getting too close, and given Obanai's past it's possible that he found her aggressive actions triggering, reminding him of his female relatives so he got uncomfortable and possibly scared.

So Kaburamaru noticed this and responded in the way he knew how, by telling poor Suma to back off.

It's not outside the realm of possibility that since Kaburamaru is around Obanai's neck all the time so he would be able to feel when his heart's beating faster or when he's stressed through the veins in Obanai's neck.

Even in real life, our pets usually know when we're in distress and try to find ways to comfort us. My cat does this and he isn't even around my neck, well unless I'm late with food or he's just using me as a platform to get to somewhere 😂

Kaburamaru wasn't being a dick, he was just protecting Obanai 🥺

Okay but hear me out guys, trans Genya:

I am currently a sucker and need to get the motivation but Trans Genya. This has some potential for some heavy angst.

In the Taisho era. Sanemi was in full support and even helped Genya choose his name and cut his hair. Image Sanemi saying transphobic insults towards Genya. Saying he'll never be a man. Maybe even deadnaming him. The amount of pain it would give Genya but it is also hurting Sanemi because he loves his brother. Genya isn't his little sister, he's his little brother. A brother he loves so much.

If anyone dead names or purposely misgender Genya, Sanemi would beat their ass.

In the Gakuen universe, Sanemi would be similar but the two would have a healthier relationship.

Genya getting worried Muichirou would reject him because he's trans. But Muichirou loves him. Muichirou would hurt anyone who is transphobic to him.

I need to write a fic of Genya trying to come out to his friends. I've seen a few fics where they make Muichirou trans, but I need a trans Genya fic. I need many of them.
