Turn ask replies into threads.

If you like a response I made, you are more than allowed to just take it and make it into a thread. Some of you do this already, but others might need a bit of a verbal confirmation to let them know that they are more than allowed to do so. When I put a lot of effort into something, I really do enjoy when it sparks the need to turn things into threads with people. Whatever random situation I put our muses in normally something that I’ve wanted to write for a while, and I assume that you do too because you sent me the thing in the first place!

Write out a thing and tag me or mention me. I want to see where things go from there. Plus, who knows, if you wanted something with our muses, breaking the ice tends to make it easier to get that thing.

      After the events that unfolded a few months ago, Stiles basically cut himself off from EVERYONE in Beacon Hills. Every single text, call, an email went unred EVEN the ones from Scott, his best friend for crying out loud. It wasn’t anything personal it was just what he felt he needed to do for himself and him alone. In order for him to process all that happened and all that was revealed to him in death it just it had to be done. It wasn’t until almost six months later did he finally replied to the one someone who hadn’t taken the hint to just leave him alone until he was ready to come around. Honey colored were on the door before Peter even knocked on it, His lips pursing the moment his gaze settled upon another. “Hello mister text and calls over 100 times because he doesn’t know how to take a hint.”

peter’s blue eyes roll the second the words leave the other male’s mouth, but the sides of his lips remained upwards. he wasn’t sure WHAT TO EXPECT when he got here. would stiles be living a brand new life of wealth && power, or would he be miserable, skinny && hating life? it turns out, the stilinski boy didn’t look like either of those to peter. he just looked like... STILES —just completely in the wrong place. 

‘ oh please, don’t act like you’re not HAPPY to see me, ’ with a quick nudge on the door, the older man squeezes past and enters the room that stiles seems to have been cooped up in for months. he didn’t come all this way to stand in the doorway. peter came to convince him to COME HOME. ‘ you certainly seem to spend a lot of time in here. ’

peter knew someone was outside his home. his head shot up when his hearing picked up on footsteps outside his door, his eyes leaving the heavy book in his lap to it  — awaiting a knock that never ended up coming. the wolf’s blue eyes narrowed. he wouldn’t have thought anything of it if he hadn’t picked up on ANXIETY && ADDERALL. a familiar scent, though not usually around here. 

one peek out peter’s window had him walking out the door, his eyes trained on the teen male stood on the sidewalk. he couldn’t pinpoint the emotion the boy was feeling, though the anxiety scent had managed to disappear ( thankfully. it stinks. ) 

‘ EVERYTHING OKAY, stiles? ’ the man asked once he got in front of him. clearly everything wasn’t okay. stiles wasn’t one to make house calls unless there was something big in the pack going on and peter was ignoring his phone calls. it was a rare occurrence due to peter usually answering to tell him off. ‘ did something happen? ’

They had a system, the Nogitsune and it’s host.  One not fitted quite to either of their tastes but one that kept the human from breaking down and the spirit from lashing out too violently.  Give and take that kept them both just sated enough.

It knew there would be more resistance the stronger it became.  As reluctantly submissive as it’s host was becoming, Stiles was nothing if not stubborn.  Of course he’d resort to a back-up plan.  Even going so far as to think with code words to try and fool the Nogitsune.  On another creature it might have worked, but it wasn’t just hearing his thoughts that let it know what he was planning.

It lets him get far.  Let’s him border on confident as he approaches the wolf’s home, intending to explain something of the situation and ask the most willing to kill of the pack to take his life if need be.  Except of course, it wouldn’t let him go through with it.  Taking over the body again, now, it was more of a challenge than it once was but the task was accomplished all the same with only a few noises of distress escaping before it was done.

Control pried away, it has half a mind to begin scolding him right there on the side walk but a wolf’s hearing would be too good for that, and whether or not it wanted to do anything with Peter was still undetermined.

Something wasn’t right with his question.  The lasting eye contact, the phrasing.  Stiles knew a mind game when he saw one.  He jumped the gun from time to time, he would admit.  Hyper-vigilance was a consistent problem since his discovery of werewolves as a whole, and it didn’t do well for that other side of himself either.  Sensitive instincts didn’t mean they were bad though.

“Why would I be?” He asks.  The first rule to navigating relationships with wolves, in Stiles’ experience, was to never answer a question directly if there was anything to hide.  That, he hardly needed help with.  Talking his way around lies was a skill learned before it was so necessary.  He also knows better than to be confident with his answer, however.  Others might be fooled, or at the very least disinterested enough not to press, but Peter was a challenge and if he was curious Stiles had to remain cautious.

peter should have known the boy would be smart about how the way he answered. stiles tended to be intelligent in ways that other’s wouldn’t really notice, but the former alpha wasn’t one to GIVE UP EASILY. ‘ maybe because you’re nervous about everything? ’  it was hardly far from the truth.  ‘ plus you’ve been extremely... TENSE lately, ’ and by tense, peter meant the boy had been completely irritable at everyone and everything. something that only seemed to happen as the full moon got closer and closer. ‘ if i didn’t know any better, i’d think you were on your period, stiles. ’ a joke to ease the boy, keep it friendly. let him relax enough to let the truth slip out.
