PSA: Why you should read rules before following.

I get it. You’re excited to write with someone because you found a muse that you really love and want to interact with your muse. But you might not always have the time, energy, focus, etc. to read someone’s rules in full detail, so you just click the follow button, likely intending to read their rules before interacting.

But here’s the thing: a growing number of people have rules that severely conflict with one another - ones where no compromise could possibly be made. 

With everything from selectivity to DNIs to consider, you should always at least open up the rules and skim for anything that stands out as incompatible with your own rules and preferences.

Or, failing that, don’t complain when someone blocks you when they check your blog in return and finds your rules incompatible with their own.

Sometimes the Mun isn't up to writing a certain plot due to real life events. Reblog to show your partners that they should prioritise real life over role play.

Role play is something you can come back to any time, life does not run by those rules. Focus on yourself first and make sure you are in a safe and happy position to come back to.

Muses are fickle. Reblog if you understand that your partner’s muse can sometimes wonder off for a while, but that you will still be willing to write with them when they come back.

Everyone has a life offline or outside of this platform and hobby. Sometimes we are inspired to write a lot or have muse for certain threads, muses, or plots. Other times we have no interest/motivation to write.

Understand that your partners you write with are not trying to avoid or ignore you. Things happen and trying to force a thread/muse/plot could result in a less than ideal response or ending that you and your partner were looking for.
