           Oooh, seemed like the silence on her side got him.    But hey, not every cat just started to purr at someone right away. Seemed like he still got this sorted for himself. He couldn't possibly assume that she wasn't the one he'd been waiting for. Would any mortal even stop to stare at some stranger in the dark? Doubt it.    It took him quite a few moments to say something. Was he trying to figure out who he was faced with? The Lynx slowly raised a brow at the first words he finally got out and directed at her. Stupid nickname? 'xcuse me?    The name itself was genius. The fact that she had kept it when The Unknowns went down may have been a bit stupid and risky -- but why give up a name under which one had painfully built a reputation? But that was no use to this conversation and meeting now. Put the memories aside.

   The moment his gaze left her and went on to stick to the display of his mobile, she used it as opportunity to quickly scan her surroundings with her eyes. Nothing suspicious so far. The thing with face-to-face meetings was that they could just as well be... well, an ambush. It would be a shame if she was taken out like that, really...    So keeping an eye out was always necessary. After all, they hadn't really agreed on showing up alone, nor set if they should bring friends. The threat that had surfaced pretty quickly -- did she seem like someone that despised the diplomatic way so much? -- and definitely didn't sound good on that matter.    The threat stirred worry, but she had time to work on her 'bottle up your feelings' act enough.

   Eventually, though, it seemed like a good time to step into that.    Lifting the curtains. Lifting the veil. A bit.    That right time came just barely a second after he ended his phrase of threat. No way he got to put up rules all without the GH0STC4T's say in it.

           "Sounds fair enough."

   Her voice was clear as daylight. Clearly female. And just as clear was her androgynous cover being blown. Every man could have feminine traits, as could women have masculine lines. Her voice was the one thing that would always give her away, though.    The content that was carried to the world through her voice was one big paradox to what had been on her mind about this.    Yet, she couldn't help but letting a slight smile roll onto her lips. She wasn't quite sure herself if it was because of her revelation and the effects of it; or if it was because of the much more complex fact that she could really turn his plan and set of orders around. Orders. She wasn't going to be ordered around. The ghost cat wouldn't be so easily fooled, either.

   Rummaging around in her hoodie's pockets a little, the hacker pulled out the little data stick. Another splash of colour on the scene. Pink this time. If she needed to give away data on a good ol' USB drive like that, she had them colour-coded. Pink for asshats. Best if he assumed it was just a very cliché girly thing to do, though--

Now that she reached a hand out to him with the stick resting on her palm, she revealed her out-of-place red finger-less gloves. Flashy.

           "There you go."

   He didn't need to know that it contained only a snippet of what he wanted just now. Most of the documents would greet him with lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...    The GH0STC4T wanted to make sure first if the info he'd give her in return was actually worth the rest of his things.                                                                 She didn't work for false leads.

The Lynx wasn’t new to the business of working for people every now and then, even if she focused on a bigger project like The Unknowns or now – DedSec. Getting this client’s data was a piece of cake, really. Especially compared to–

What she never would get used to was… if it came down to having to meet the other part of the deal in person.

She prefered things to be secure and risk-free. Plagued by a (big) amount of paranoia, it would always be easiest on the net. It wasn’t completely foolproof, either… but still.

/This/ was in no way /safe/.

Ghost had chosen a dark grey, oversized hoodie tonight, she didn’t want to seem like a gangster or something and she didn’t want to try too hard to ‘hide’ – how cliché would that be –; she merely wanted to calm herself. It was her favourite piece of clothing. Cozy and fuzzy hood and all. It made her feel at least a little safe. A tiny bit–

The black skinny jeans completed the dark-ish look of elegance. Beneath the hood she had carefully put up she wore a beanie. A bright blue beanie. Her boots of a similar colour completely broke the rule of classical undercover attire. Nothing against some splashes of colour, right?

GH0STC4T had made the experience, though, that if someone really wanted to hide in plain sight and seem unsuspicious? They did best no to try too hard to keep the whole attention of them by dressing and acting… suspicious. Just act as natural as possible.

Ah– by now she’d almost reached the place they agreed on meeting at. Turn another corner. She quickly checked her watch – another spot of blue on her body. One more minute…

But it already came into view, somewhere below the L. It was even darker down there, but she thought she could make out an even darker shade against the wall…? Welp, she’ll see soon enough. Anyway, her form quickly approached the scene, hands still in the pockets of her hoodie. The closer the ghost cat got… yup, that’s gotta be him.

The hacker stopped a couple of feet in front of him. She kept silent because there was no need for some kinda greeting. At least that was her view on things– Plus, she liked to keep the illusion and confusion up for a bit. Her appearance was something she considered a handy gift. And it just was always fun to fool people, to watch them struggle to even pinpoint her gender. Ghostie 1 : Other peeps 0.

A blank face silently observed the elder. This person was just standing there, not saying a word, not even a nod to let him know that they were at the right spot. Just dead eyes, nothing else. However, this assured Damien even more that this person was the right one. GH0STC4T didn’t even feel the need to give away any names, but what else could have been expected from these ‘ Dedsec rats ‘.

  “ We don’t have to deal with any chit-chat, even though I really like to know more about my possibilities than just a.. –stupid nickname. But it’s fine. “ Well, it had to be fine. Was he able to force her to give away more than he needed. Probably not, she seemed more like a threat.

Damien took his phone, fingers wiping over the screen rapidly, yet carefully. There was no chance he was going to trust this person in front of him. Hell, he didn’t even know if he was dealing with a man or a woman. The elder didn’t have the time to figure that out, though this person seemed to have more feminine traits, at least when it came to the way she presented herself. 

 “ I tell you how things are gonna be done. –I’ll get what I need first, then I’m gonna give you the promised tracking to your object of desire. The vigilante. “ A smirk appeared on his face as he mentioned Chicago’s current favorite. 

  “ No need to work a fiddle here though. One tough act and I’m out. “ His voice sounded serious, enough to intimidate. If intimidation is working on her or him, however, this wasn’t easy to notice. This person was a member of Dedsec after all, and that probably had a good reason. 

Taking a closer look at her, Damien realized how much of a hidden person she had been. The quite opposite, to be honest. The color of her clothing wasn’t really what one would call ‘ mysterious ‘. But obviously he wasn’t going to judge about that. He didn’t even care. What he was actually spending his thoughts about was if he should really help them getting to Aiden. It’s not Aiden himself he cared about. But Dedsec wasn’t supposed to be the main opponent here. Not even the slightest bit.

This person, GH0STC4T is how it got identified during Damien’s first researches. Somehow it became a pain in the ass –all these kids only running around online, stealing data and trying so hard to keep their identity to themselves. Only to avoid getting caught by Uncle Sam.

Waiting at a rather dark place under the Chicago L, Damien leaned against a wall and waited for the other one’s face reveal. They kinda made a deal. While she’s got some data he needed badly, he promised to track down the current thorn in Dedsec’s flesh; –the vigilante. His former partner. Damien knew too damn well how to get to Aiden. Exactly what Dedsec needed.

The thought about it makes him question his options. Was he going to stay honest? Not that he cared about Aiden, that was definitely not the case. But… –chances.
