"they really did." she sighed, taking a deep breathe in to sooth herself, knowing she was in a sticky spot. she lived in the mikaelson compound, she had a weird unspoken and very secret deal with klaus, and trying to stay as far away from the oea as she could. she completely understood why everyone was angry by the new laws, but they were the least of her worries right now. "the curfew didn't work last time because they didn't have a their very own police department to keep us in line; they do now. no, this isn't high school, this is juvi."

With Brooklyn asleep in his crib and Arabella perfectly entertained by Peyton's daughter, a soft sigh left Rory's lips, gaze pulling to her friend as she shook her head. "They really set those 'laws' in place," Lorelai questioned. "Cause a curfew has really stopped any of us supernatural's before, right? And we have to request a pass? Like a hall pass essentially? What is this high school?"

a small smile appeared as she laid eyes on him, evidence of her worries with her teeth still biting down on the lower lip. it was a bad habit of hers to chew on her lips when she was stressed or worried and ever since last night peyton couldn't stop. "hey to you too." the blonde opened the door even more and stepped out of the way to invite him in. "i'm... yeah i'm okay. worried, but i think we all are, right? then again everyone else has a representative on the council, what about me and my siblings? are the witches speaking for us, or do we not have a representative because they're trying to get me back to work for them? i don't want that, russ. i don't want the witches representing us but i definitely don't want that." she had been rambling, throwing all her worries on him the moment he passed the threshold and while she knew she was safe with him, she also knew it wasn't fair to do that to him. "sorry, that was a lot."

Knuckles rapped against the door, frame leaning against the frame as arms crossed over his chest and his dark gaze fell on the mother of his child. "Hey," Ruslan greeted softly. "I just wanted to check in on you, make sure you were okay. I know last night was a lot for you."

"like i said, crazy because you're right, who approved that?" a smirk tugged on her lips as she bantered with her friend, it was nice to joke about but if she thought to hard about it the mood would turn. it was unfortunate when girls had to grow up too fast. "i'm suggesting exactly that, let's give them something to talk about instead of whatever is planned later in the night."
"We're actually adults," Savannah counters, amusement flush across her features. "Who the hell let that happen, huh?" Soft laughter filled the air between them, a devilish grin taking to her lips as her gaze lands on the bar. "You suggestin' we get plastered of rich people booze and dance on the bar," she questions, brow rising as if it was the most ridiculous idea. "Because say the word and I'm kicking these heels off and going full on Coyote Ugly."

of course she knew who this was, she'd seen her in pictures and around town and heard all about her and her relationship with ryker. the psychic held no animosity for her, in fact she was very empathetic to her and what avery has been through. after all they did have pretty similar stories, and it was for this reason she'd been stepping back and waiting for the other to reach out or show some kind of green light. tonight didn't seem like the night, but they were here and peyton wasn't about to ignore her. "it's pretty tense out there, right? like silently chaotic, or watching a train wreck in slowmo. well, welcome to my quiet hiding spot. we can share it." peyton offered a weak smile, a small upturn of the corner of her lips in an attempt to quell the nerves she could see on the other.
Avery froze as she opened the door to find the woman her ex husband had been dating. Her body tensed, mouth going dry as her brain raced through all the tools she had learned in therapy that could help in the situation. "Oh. Uh. Sorry. I just...." Avery looked around, begging for someone to save her from the situation. "Just needed a little bit of quiet."

"damn, i didn't mean to scare you, are you ok?" peyton queried as she pushed off the table she had been leaning against to take a step forward. "they're not in here, i think i saw you dad out on the dance floor though, for a man in blue he sure does know how to dance."
she was trying to find where her dad or siblings were , herself having been in what felt like a hundred different rooms , somewhat all looking similar. opening the door , she almost jumped as she heard the others words. "yeah , sorry about that." georgie remarked, removing her mask for a moment. she wondered if she could ditch the mask somewhere. "i'm just trying to find my dad or the siblings. have you seen them come in here or pass here?"

✧.*― peyton morgrave / open event starter /@exitiumstarters
she had sneaked away from the main party to find some peace and quiet for just a moment. it was odd to think that just a year ago she had felt so unfamiliar with the compound when she would visit it or drop charlee off. it was even more odd to think just a year ago she had been leaving in a trailer and now she lived in this compound. someone entering the room she had been using as her hiding spot gained her attention, a brow raising in jest at them. "you really shouldn't be in here, you know--" peyton said it, but she could care less about where the guest roamed as long as they didn't find the room with the kids in it.

"Crazy how we went from dancing on bartops to being wrapped around their tiny little fingers, isn't it?" Peyton smirked, nudging savannah gently in the side with her elbow. "OK, if we have to be here I say we drink this bougie rich people liquor and get back to who we used to be for one night, yeah?"
Closed Starter - @xlcsinggrip
"One night without the kids," Savannah hummed, sitting herself down beside the other. "You'd think I'd be happier about it but oddly enough I kind of wish I was at home with them right now."

The psychic worried her lower lip between her teeth, lost in her own though. While it wasnt something she liked to use, she had been hoping to use her skillset tonight to her advantage, a clutch to calm her nerves and maybe get some actual answers instead of the politic jargon they were getting. It seemed something was done to the compound, though, she wasnt able to access any minds, and this had her extra on edge. Peyton did what she felt was the best course of action to get her siblings back and she didnt regret doing that one bit-- she did regret everytime she kept this from rus and rebekah but she knew how they felt about the hybrid and that was not a wedge she wanted in her life not when they had nearly perfected coparenting.
The tug on her arm and then the gentle press of his lips against her skin pulled her attention from her racing worries to her boyfriend instantly. "Mmm, a drink first. I'm sure the lovebirds are busy, hosting. " a soft smile pulled on the corner of her lips as she turned in to his frame to face him.

Digits were laced within her own, lifting her hand to press a gentle kiss to the back of her hand as they entered the compound, the home in which they shared with the Mikaelson's so that Charlee could be close to her father, the home that was now infested with members of the OEA and he hoped more than anything that kiss would ease at least a fraction of the tension that radiated off her. Klaus may have helped free her and her siblings from the clutches of the OEA and he may have encouraged her to ask for his help but that didn't change the fact that the OEA's presence didn't still cause for agitation nor did it negate the knowledge that she was now indebted to Klaus for his assistance. "Do you want to get a drink," Ryker questions, dark irises falling on the femme beside him. "Or did you want to find Rebekah and Ruslan first?"

✧.*― peyton morgrave / 1 year time jump
she didn't realize it when it happened, but the moment ryker bradenton walked her home after her shift the day they met, things changed for her.
they grew close and eventually peyton let him in, this was big for her as this was something she had been too scared to do, not wanting to risk anyone else around her getting hurt with her situation. After opening her heart to him, she also let him in on what was going on, and why she kept pushing people away.
when word got out about klaus and his plans with the oea, peyton was hesitant at first but after some persuading from ryker she went to klaus and asked for his help. she'd be in his debt if he could help release her and her siblings from the oea's grasp. she did this behind ruslan and rebekah's back, knowing how they felt about klaus and his agreement with the oea.
once her siblings were back and safe with her, she took rebekah up on her offer to make a home from their little family at the compound, moving in so that charlee could be closer to her father.
this also benefited peyton as ryker also lives in the compound.
with her boss, xavier, at viper leaving town, he promoted her to manager to run the club in his absence under the help of his sister, cordelia, who was stepping in occasionally for the owner.
truthfully, peyton is unsure about everything that has been going on in the city with the oea seemingly taking over every inch-- she knows exactly what laine is capable of, and this worries her. however, she is in klaus' debt for his help in freeing her siblings and herself from the association. she's opted to stay silent on the matter, until she needs to be otherwise.

what was supposed to be a peaceful walk home after dropping charlee off with ruslan turned into a stressful game of cat and mouse. the thought to turn around and go back to her ex, and the safety that was the home he was staying in, did cross her mind once she noticed her was walking ahead of her. this crossroads she arrived at, a mental war was pulling her in two different directions.
down one path, she knew if she were to turn around, ruslan would ask questions and she didn't know how much longer she could keep this part of her life a secret from him and once he knew she feared he'd try and keep her daughter from her, or worse-- insert himself where he could risk being taken from her again. down the other path, she had not gotten called in by the oea in a while and she had been hoping to keep it that way-- she hated using her powers for their advantage.
a inaudible sigh passed her lips as she composed herself and stepped out into the light. her lips parted but the words failed to roll off her tongue, instead they were stuck in her throat. at least with this path she was keeping everyone safe, at least that was what she had to tell herself in order to sleep at night. clearing her throat, peyton's gaze held his cautiously. "i'm just walking home, cassian. you can understand why i kept my distance." or maybe not, afterall, he's been so warm and inviting thus far.
@exitiumstarters ✦ cassian lancastor

"You know I can hear you, right?" Cassian grumbled, unimpressed by whatever poor attempts of tailing or avoidance the other was practicing. The day had been long and somehow, he felt as if the night was destined to be so much longer. OEA first and foremost, he was well equipped with weapons, but his fingers twitched, knowing that his magic would be all he really needed to stave of a threat. "Gonna come out, or should I just make you instead?"
