As important as the final Punk v Cena match is to me, and as much as I want to support my favorite wrestlers, I cannot in good conscience support WWE/TKO in any official capacity should they move forward with having Night of Champions in Riyadh.

WWE has a long and ugly history of prioritizing profit over the safety of its workers. This isn't even the first time WWE put their employees in a compromising situation in Saudi Arabia. But to fly out to Saudi Arabia in the midst of the Isreal/Iran conflict is a new level of treachery. Several members of WWE's production crew who flew out early are currently stranded in Qatar with no way of getting home as civilian air travel has largely been shut down due to safety concerns. While a ceasefire is currently in place, things are still touch and go, and there is a lot of uncertainty in the air. Sending your employees to what is currently an unstable part of the world is beyond irresponsible.

The fact that WWE wrestlers no longer receive bonuses for going adds insult to injury. If you're going to put your workers in a potentially life-threatening situation, they should at least be adequately compensated for it. Capitalism in its most malevolent form.
