Prompt 289
While Bruce was lost in time, he made a Deal.Â
He doesnât exactly mention it to his family when he comes back- he was more than a little busy trying to figure out what he missed, where his children were, what the fuck had even happened. Besides, heâd put it in the report that heâd encountered some sort of primordial time being- even if he was still investigating that on his down time.Â
So he thinks he can be forgiven for forgetting to mention anything until Clark drops a cup while staring at him with a pale expression and shakily asks why thereâs a second, slower heartbeat in his chest. He just also wishes it wasnât in the middle of a League meeting.Â

Deathâs Gentle Touch
@demonic0angel thank you for letting me write this.
Ps. This is not a dead silent ship but a dead on main ship. I am way too much of a dead tired, dead on main and dead serious fanđŤŁ, so..... Srryđ
Danny hadnât planned on staying in Gotham for long. The city was overwhelming, a swirling mess of emotions, crime, and shadows that never seemed to sleep. But something about it called to himâa faint pull in the back of his mind, like the restless murmur of ghosts who hadnât yet crossed his path.
And then he started noticing them.
The kids.
Each one had a presence that whispered of deathâs touch. Not full-on ghostly, but close. Too close. It tugged at Dannyâs core, a strange mix of familiarity and concern. The first was a quiet boy, barely seven, with hollow eyes and a haunted expression. Danny found him huddled in the shadows of Crime Alley, shivering and alone.
It wasnât even a conscious decision. He couldnât leave the kid there.
And so, the warehouse became home.
The old building wasnât much to look at from the outside, but Danny had poured what little ecto-energy he could spare into reinforcing it, patching up leaks, and making it livable. Inside, it was surprisingly cozy. Rugs covered the cold floor, mismatched furniture filled the space, and shelves lined with books and trinkets added a sense of warmth.
Within weeks, Dannyâs little family had grown.
Five kids now called the warehouse home, each one with a story that left Danny seething with quiet rage. Abusive parents, neglectful guardians, and the harsh streets of Gotham had taken their toll on each of them. Danny couldnât fix the past, but he could offer them something better: safety, warmth, and the promise that theyâd never be alone again.
One of the kids, Sam, was from one of Gothamâs elite families. Heâd run away after his parentsâ cruelty pushed him too far. When Danny had found him, Sam had been too weak to argue.
It was Cassandra Cain who stumbled upon them.
Sheâd been tracking a lead on a missing childâthe wealthy parents had finally reported Sam missing after weeks, though their concern had seemed more for appearances than genuine worry. Her trail led her to the refurbished warehouse.
Cass slipped inside silently, her every movement a shadow. What she saw stopped her in her tracks.
Danny was sitting cross-legged on the floor, a tattered storybook in his hands. The five kids were gathered around him, leaning against him or huddled close, their faces rapt with attention. Dannyâs voice was soft, animated, bringing the story to life.
â...and the brave knight faced the dragon, not with a sword, but with kindness.â Danny smiled, looking down at the youngest child, a girl clutching his arm. âBecause sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is try to understand someone else.â
Cass didnât move for a moment.
The scene was so achingly peaceful, so pure, that it seemed impossible in a city like Gotham. She could feel the protective energy radiating from Danny, the way the kids seemed to trust him implicitly. It wasnât just a man taking care of children. He was their anchor, their safe harbor.
Still, she stepped forward.
Danny looked up, his glowing green eyes meeting hers. For a second, Cass tensed, ready for a fight. But Dannyâs expression softened, and he raised a hand in a calming gesture.
âHey,â he said quietly. âYou must be one of the Bats.â
Cass tilted her head, curious but cautious. âWho... are you?â
âIâm Danny,â he replied simply, closing the book. âAnd these are my kids.â
Her gaze flickered to the children. Sam had tensed at her presence, but Danny placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
âTheyâre safe here,â Danny continued, his voice calm but firm. âI promise. I know youâre probably here for him.â He nodded toward Sam. âBut he ran for a reason. And Iâm not about to let anyone hurt him again.â
Cass reported back to Bruce and the others. The revelation sparked an intense debate in the Batcave.
âHeâs just a kid himself!â Damian snapped, glaring at the screen showing Dannyâs image. âWhat gives him the right to take in strays like this?â
âPot, meet kettle,â Tim muttered, earning a scowl from Damian.
Bruce, arms crossed, studied the footage Cass had captured. Dannyâs protective aura was undeniable, as was the bond heâd formed with the children. âWe need to know more about him,â Bruce said. âHis intentions, his background, his... abilities.â
Jason leaned against the wall, a smirk tugging at his lips. âYouâre just mad someoneâs beating you at the whole âadopting straysâ thing, B.â
Alfred cleared his throat. âMaster Jason, perhaps we should focus on how best to ensure the childrenâs well-being.â
When the Bats finally confronted Danny in the warehouse, they were met with calm defiance. Danny stood his ground, the kids huddled behind him.
âI get it,â he said, arms crossed. âYouâre the big, bad vigilantes of Gotham. But these kids? Theyâre not just cases or numbers. Theyâre people. And they deserve better than what the system gave them.â
Bruce stepped forward. âWeâre not here to take them from you. But this isnât sustainable. Youâre their age. How do you plan to provide for them long-term?â
Danny hesitated, then sighed. âIâll figure it out. I always do.â
Jason, watching the exchange, stepped closer. âWhatâs your deal, Danny? Youâre not just some random guy.â
Danny met his gaze, his glowing eyes narrowing slightly. âYou wouldnât believe me if I told you.â
Jason smirked. âTry me.â
The Bats werenât ones to leave mysteries unsolved, and Danny wasnât about to spill his life story to a group of masked vigilantes without some trust first. It took weeks of cautious interactions and reluctant cooperation for things to come to light.
It was Jason who finally got Danny to open up.
One night, after dropping off a bag of supplies Bruce had insisted the kids needed, Jason stayed behind. He found Danny on the roof of the warehouse, leaning against the railing as he stared at the Gotham skyline. The night air was crisp, carrying the distant hum of the city.
âSo,â Jason began, hopping onto the ledge beside him. âYouâre not just some ordinary kid with a big heart. Whatâs your story?â
Danny let out a long sigh. âYouâre not going to let this go, are you?â
âNot a chance.â
For a moment, Danny said nothing. Then he raised his hand, letting a soft green glow surround it. âYou ever hear of Amity Park?â
Jason frowned. âThe town with all those ghost rumors? Thought it was a bunch of tabloid nonsense.â
âYeah, well, itâs not,â Danny said, his voice quieter now. âI grew up there. My parents were... ghost hunters. They built a portal to another dimensionâthe Infinite Realms. Something went wrong, and I ended up... connected to it. Half-ghost, half-human.â
Jason blinked, his eyes narrowing as he processed the information. âHalf-ghost? Like, you died?â
âSort of.â Dannyâs tone was light, but his eyes reflected the weight of the experience. âItâs complicated. I didnât plan to stick around Gotham, but then I started noticing these kidsâhow close they were to death, how much theyâd suffered. I couldnât just leave them.â
Jason studied him for a moment, then nodded. âYouâre a weird guy, Danny. But I get it.â
Danny smirked. âThanks, I think.â
Each child Danny had taken in had their own struggles, their own pain that had led them to him.
Sam: The son of a wealthy Gotham family, Sam had been raised in luxury but at a terrible cost. His parents cared more about appearances than his well-being, and the pressure to be perfect had been crushing. When Danny found him, Sam had been wandering the streets, bruised and desperate for escape.
Mia: A street-smart girl with a sharp tongue, Mia had grown up in foster care, bouncing between homes that never cared for her. Sheâd survived on her own for months before Danny found her, stealing food to survive.
Leo: Barely six, Leo had been abandoned in Crime Alley. He didnât speak much, but he clung to Danny like a lifeline.
Ella: A bright-eyed girl with an affinity for art, Ella had been living in a condemned building with her older brother, whoâd died protecting her. Danny found her crying over his body, her face pale and haunted.
Max: A quiet, thoughtful boy who had a near-death experience after falling into Gotham River. His brush with death had left him sensitive to the supernatural, and heâd been drawn to Danny almost instinctively.
Danny had given them all a second chance, teaching them to trust again. The warehouse became their safe haven, a place where they could heal.
Despite their initial skepticism, the Bats couldnât deny that Danny was doing good. Bruce offered resources to help with the kids, on the condition that Danny let them monitor the situation.
âIâm not looking to turn this into a charity case,â Danny had said. âI just want whatâs best for them.â
âAnd thatâs what weâre offering,â Bruce replied evenly. âWhether you like it or not, weâre invested now.â
Danny found himself working with the Bats more often, whether it was coordinating efforts to help other at-risk kids or teaming up with them during ghost-related incidents.
Cass became a frequent visitor, quietly helping with the children and bonding with Danny over their shared love of storytelling. Tim couldnât resist asking questions about ghost tech and the Infinite Realms, while Damian begrudgingly admitted that Danny wasnât as useless as heâd assumed.
Jason, however, became Dannyâs closest ally. The two shared a mutual understanding, both having faced death and come back changed.
Years passed, and the warehouse evolved. The children grew, some eventually striking out on their own while others stayed close. Danny became a pillar of the community, the once-abandoned warehouse now a thriving community center.
Jason remained a constant presence in Dannyâs life. Their friendship deepened, and somewhere along the way, it turned into something more.
The wedding was a quiet affair, held in the Infinite Realms. The guests were a mix of humans and ghosts, an unusual but fitting reflection of Danny and Jasonâs lives.
Sam, Mia, Leo, Ella, and Maxânow young adultsâstood by Dannyâs side, their smiles bright and proud. The Bats, dressed in uncharacteristically formal attire, watched with a mix of fondness and exasperation as Jason said his vows.
âI didnât think Iâd get a second chance at a family,â Jason said, his voice steady but soft. âBut with you, Danny, I found something I didnât even know I was looking for.â
Danny smiled, his eyes glowing faintly. âAnd I found a homeâin Gotham, in these kids, and in you. Youâre stuck with me now, Jason.â
As they exchanged rings, the Infinite Realms shimmered around them, a quiet acknowledgment of the bond theyâd forged.
And as they stepped into their future together, hand in hand, they knew theyâd face whatever came nextâtogether, as a family.
Over the years, Danny and Jasonâs âkidsâ grew into remarkable young adults, each finding their own path while staying connected to the family they had built together.
Sam: The Voice for Justice
Samâs upbringing in Gothamâs elite circles gave him unique insight into the cityâs upper class. As an adult, he used that knowledge to challenge the corruption ingrained in Gothamâs wealthy families.
By day, Sam became a successful lawyer, taking on cases for those who couldnât afford proper representation. By night, he used his connections to help Danny and Jason uncover and dismantle illegal operations hidden behind Gothamâs polished facade.
Despite his serious demeanor, Sam never forgot the kindness Danny showed him. He often visited the community center to mentor at-risk kids, giving them the guidance he wished heâd had.
Mia: The Protector
Miaâs sharp tongue and street smarts made her a natural fighter. She trained with Cass and Damian, honing her skills until she became a formidable vigilante known as Specterblade.
Unlike most of Gothamâs protectors, Mia embraced her ghostly side. Danny taught her how to channel ectoplasmic energy, giving her an edge in combat. She patrolled the streets with a ferocity that even Damian respected, targeting human traffickers and abusers with relentless determination.
Though she worked in the shadows, Mia also took an active role at the community center, running self-defense classes for women and teens.
Leo: The Guardian of the Realms
Leoâs quiet nature hid a deep connection to the Infinite Realms. Over time, his near-death experience evolved into a unique ability to sense disturbances between dimensions.
Danny noticed this early on and trained Leo to become a Realmwalker, a protector of the delicate balance between the mortal world and the Infinite Realms. Leo embraced the role, splitting his time between Gotham and the ghostly dimension.
He became a key figure in handling supernatural threats that even the Justice League struggled with. Though he was often away, Leo remained fiercely loyal to his family, returning whenever they needed him.
Ella: The Healer
Ellaâs love for art evolved into a passion for design and restoration. She studied architecture and urban planning, eventually becoming a key figure in revitalizing Gothamâs neglected neighborhoods.
Her ghostly sensitivity gave her a unique perspective on spaces and their emotional resonance, which she used to create safe, welcoming environments. The community center was her first major project, and she expanded its reach with satellite locations across the city.
Ellaâs gentle spirit made her a comforting presence in the family, and she often acted as the mediator when tensions ran high.
Max: The Tech Genius
Maxâs brush with death left him fascinated by technology and its potential to change lives. He became a brilliant engineer, blending ghost tech and human innovation to create devices that pushed the boundaries of possibility.
Working alongside Tim, Max developed tools to help Gothamâs vigilantes fight crime more efficiently. He also created gadgets to help people with disabilities, inspired by the struggles he witnessed during his time on the streets.
Max was the quiet brain behind many of the familyâs operations, preferring to let his work speak for itself.
Despite their busy lives, the kids never forgot their roots. They visited the warehouse-turned-community center regularly, helping Danny and Jason with new initiatives and staying connected to the city that had once failed them.
Family dinners were a chaotic but cherished tradition, with everyone gathering around the table to share stories, tease each other, and reaffirm their bond.
In their own ways, each of Danny and Jasonâs kids carried on their legacy of hope, proving that even in a city as dark as Gotham, second chances could bloom into something extraordinary.
I might make this a series and show each kids journey. Hope you guys liked it.

DPXDC prompt. Field trip.
Some people would call gothamites petty, but given that most of the USA population treated them as scum, they believed that their behavior was justified.
They didn't like tourists, to put it mildly. Therefore, after learning that in their city were people on a field trip from Amity Park who could not leave Gotham for several days due to weekly escape from Arkham, the news channel immediately decided that a short interview from the guests would definitely amuse the locals. The reaction of outsiders never ceases to be ridiculous.
Reporter: ~Good afternoon~ Gotham News! May I ask you to share what you liked most about our wonderful city?
Mr. Lancer*still in a cold sweat and looks at every passerby as a potential villain*: Uh, no, me..It's so unexpected. Well, first of all, people here are veryâŚ
Danny *is high after the tasting samples Dr. Crane gave him for free and is extremely eager to share his happiness with others*,* picks a microphone*.
Danny: Gotham is the best city in the world! Like seriously, damn, I'd like to die here. Although there are constant shootings somewhere, half the time people don't even shoot at me! I haven't been this relaxed since middle school! And in the evenings, there is often such a pleasant scent of fear and despair on the streets. This fear toxin of yours is a real miracle! It's sooo good!
Sam *decides to take the initiative in her own hands before Fenton says too much*: Personally, I am very pleased with the number of green spaces you have in your city. It's nice to see that here eco-activists are really being listened to. Also, the fact that most restaurants have a thoughtful menu for vegetarians left a very pleasant impression.
Dash in his favorite T-shirt "it's not gay if he's dead": Four words. Hips of Red Hood. The fact that it is not marked in the guidebook as the main attraction of the Crime Alley is a real crime. This dude clearly never skips leg days. My respect.
Tucker: What can I say? The speed of internet here, even during villains attacks, is absolutely unbelievable. I don't want to leave this place.
Jazz: I love Gotham! Finally, I was able to buy all the works published by Dr. Harleen Quinzel. *girl picks up an impressive stack of books* For some reason, they are not available online.
The camera points at a red-haired guy with a twitching eye.
Wes: I'm 85% sure Bruce Wayne is Batman. I have a proof and I am ready to provide it.
A girl with a "Good Guess" pin from Riddler enters and takes camera away from conspiracy theorist.
Star: Sorry, he slipped out at night and went to look for problems. Again. Don't pay any attention to him. He's always like this when he drinks more than two energy drinks in a row.

The JLD end up in that park for one reason or another, and Batman leaves with Billy Batson in tow.
Ok I've got a cute batfam idea and I wanted to share.
Bruce gets all of his kids earlier than cannon, but he only ever finds out about them in one specific park.
When he first went to that park as Bruce Wayne he saw a poster for Haley's circus, he decides to check it out one night, comes back with a child.
Of course at the moment this is nothing else but a tragedy, and Bruce forgets about the park.
But about a year or so later he is in that park again after chasing some criminals in there as Batman, after catching them and tying them up for the police he makes his way back to the batmobile to find three out of four wheels missing and one freaked the fuck out kid.
He takes him home.
After this Bruce takes a minute to realize it's the same park where he saw the poster but adds it all up to a coincidence.
Until another year or so he takes Dick and Jason to the same park for some family quality time, as the two boys chase each other around the playground Bruce notices a small little boy staring at him from behind a bench, he approaches the kid since he seems too young to be there all alone, when he asks where his parents are the kid simply answers "Egypt", when he asks if there's someone else looking after him he just shakes his head
Bruce takes another kid home that day.
Now Bruce is starting to notice a little bit of a pattern, but again chops it up to coincidences.
Until he's once again in the same park chasing after a possible drug deal happening there when he hears rustling in some bushes, deciding to investigate he finds a savage little girl holding a knife and covered with blood.
He cautiously takes her to the cave, but soon she's welcomed to the home.
Now Bruce is starting to notice something, he decides he needs to be a bit more careful whenever he end up in that park.
But then some months later the kids insist on going there to play in the playground, Bruce caves in and takes them over, not even 20 minutes in Tim and Cass come running towards him hand in hand with a little blonde girl wearing a purple hoodie.
He does not take her home with him, but that doesn't stop her from coming over every other day, and she's always welcome.
Bruce has of course at this point accepted that this park is blessed cursed, considering he got four and a half kids from it, he decides to try to evade it just in case he somehow get four and a half more.
That is until he gets a message from Talia asking him to meet up at that exact park, he sighs, leaves, comes back with a baby.
Bruce decides to evade that park as much as he can unless it's for an absolute emergency.
Until about 3 year later he has to go to the park for a fund raiser event, in which toddler Damian sneaks away for a good 30 minutes, frantically Bruce runs through the entire park just to find Damian playing ball with another older boy in a yellow shirt.
Much like Steph he does not take him home with him, but the kid is always welcome in the manors walls along with the rest of his children.
Bruce has no idea how or why all of his children essentially spawned in the same park, and he's kind of given up on evading it, in the future his kids might joke about the coincidences and claim the park as their "spawn point" but for now, as surprising and stressful as they were, Bruce is completely grateful and happy with all of his children that that park provided.

Are we great yet?
A 14 year old girl flushing her miscarriage down the toilet can be charged with mutilating a corpse, but keeping a dead woman on life support for 120 days then cutting her open to extract a 2 pound fetus because her dead body was decaying too fast to sustain the pregnancy any longer is not only legal but compelled by law. America/the world/men hate women so much.

Johnny and Kitty are just looking for Phantom since the Realms were getting a bit concerned when they hadn't heard anything from him and his kids for a while, and wanted to make sure they were all okay.
Dpxdc prompt? Snippet? Idk?
I've had this scene stuck in my head for so long idk what to do with it so yall can have it.
~~~~~~~â~~â˘~~â~~~~~~{â}~~~~~~â~~â˘~~â~~~~~~~
"We...may need to call on Phantom for this."
Batman grumbled at Constantine's remark. Up until now they hadn't had any issues with ghosts and he was hoping it would be longer before they needed to pull Phantom in for his expertise.
~
It had only been a month since King Phantom and his children came crashing into their dimension. Their ship had come out of a Lazarus green portal that spontaneously appeared in the lower atmosphere just outside of Gotham. Batman had called the League for potential backup and ended up surrounding the strange craft with Superman, Green Lantern, Martin Manhunter, and Zatanna for magical support.
They were not expecting a child, one no older then 6 or 7, with pearlescent white hair and striking green eyes to come tumbling out and crying for them to help her father.
~
Superman stood up from his place at the meeting room table with the grace of a man who didn't feel comfortable pestering an eldritch god of a man until it was absolutely necessary, "Are we sure this is a ghost? It could very well be something else-"
"Oh it's definitely a ghost," Constantine cut him off, taking a drag of his (against league policy) lit cigarette and blowing the smoke up at the ceiling, "There's no mistaken it. Even before Phantom's little 'crash course' on ghosts I coulda told ya that."
Batman looked over the blurry images on screen. They were of what looked to be two individuals riding a motorcycle at dangerous speeds through Metropolis. Superman had told them they hadn't hurt anyone directly but had caused a few minor crashes and were a general pain to interact with. Just like Phantom had told them, they couldn't be picked up clearly on any modern cameras and Superman hadn't had any luck capturing them. They simply slipped through a wall or disappeared around a block. It had been a week of this and Clark had finally given up and called for assistance.
"Isn't it like, 4am in Gotham?" Flash asked, leaning back in his chair, "Wouldn't he be asleep or something? Does he sleep?" The last bit he mostly asked to himself.
"Yes, he does," Batman answered, much to the confusion of Flash. "I'll make the call."
After a few rings the line picked up to a slightly slurred and staticky, "Hello?"
"Phantom, are you available at the moment. We think we may have...a ghost problem. In Metropolis."
A pause. Then a tired sigh came through the line, "Alright, give me 10 minutes." And the call ended.
Superman shifted uncomfortably, "It sounded like you woke him up." Of course he was listening. Batman glared at him, then turned to the rest of the gathered league, "He'll be here in 10 minutes."
About 6 minutes later a portal ripped itself open next to the window of the meeting room and out stepped Phantom, looking less drowsy then he sounded. Clinging to his back (to the League's surprise) was his oldest, Dante. And cradled in his arms, wrapped against his chest with his cape was his youngest, Eleonora, (they're only a month apart but Dante would throw a fit if he wasn't referred to as oldest sibling)
With a jaw cracking yawn Phantom stepped forward towards the meeting table, "Sorry, I hope it's alright I brought the kids." He started, running a hand through his daughter's hair, "Elly just had a nightmare and Dan didn't want to be left alone."
Over his shoulder, the little prince grumbled something about 'too quiet' and 'bad memories' and wasn't that mildly concerning.
"It's alright, you're majesty." Superman stood and gave Phantom a nervous smile. He didn't not trust the man but anything magical and/or supernatural tended to make even him nervous, "We know we called you quiet early and out of the blue... Sorry about waking you up,"
Phantom waved him off with another yawn, "Nah, it's fine, you didn't wake me. I was already up with Elly when you called." At her names mention, the little princess shifted and let out a small whimper. Phantom sighed and then a rumbling sound started up in his chest that sounded a lot like purring. At the noise, little Elly settled down again.
It was sweet, seeing this supposedly all powerful being just being a single father. A few days after the king was treated in the Watchtower's medical facility, they got a taste of what Phantom was capable of when a small armada of alien ships decided now was the best time to attack Earth.
~
The League had been gathered to discuss how to proceed when Phantom had stepped in and offered his assistance. "I owe you all for saving me," he had argued when they tried to refuse.
15 minutes
It took King Phantom 15 minutes (and 25 seconds) to have the aliens running with their tail between their legs. Debris from the lead ship unrecognizable.
~
"Alright, now what's this 'ghost problem' you need me for?" At that, the League (mostly Superman, considering it was in his city) explained the situation to their resident 'Ghost expert'.
~~~~~~~â~~â˘~~â~~~~~~{â}~~~~~~â~~â˘~~â~~~~~~~
And that's it, idk where this was going but now it's out of my brain
And my hands

Alfred doesn't even react when government Agents show up, he just pulls out his shotgun and aims between the legs. It only takes one to go down that way before the rest retreat. The JL interrogate the lone Agent and learn about the Anti-Ecto Acts. They are appalled and make it their newest mission to repeal them. The OA is not pleased.
Damian, as Robin, is about to be sacrificed to summon a Powerful Being. Except instead of a Powerful Being, a kid his age pops into existence as though he was shoved forward.
The kid looks around, startled. He's got a black eye and he's holding a length of rope, presumably what had been restraining him.
"Uh. Is. Is this the afterlife?" The kid asks, bewildered.
"...No, this is Gotham. We were trying to summon Pariah Dark?" One of the cultists answers, also confused.
"But I was being sacrificed to summon Pariah Dark?" The kid says, brows furrowed.
The cultists pause in their attempted murder of Robin and hurriedly reconvene, taking their eyes off of the kid. They're muttering about how maybe there was another cult doing a sacrifice at the same time, and things got switched up. Should they sacrifice both of the boys?
Damian, though. Damian never takes his eyes off of the new kid.
Unlike the cultists, he's not an idiot. He knows a liar when he sees one. That boy is no sacrifice.
That boy is the being they summoned.
He waits for the being to show it's true colors. And waits. And waits.
'Hurry up!' Damian mouths to it.
'I am trying!' It mouths back, motioning at it's feet where it's been wearing away the containment sigil.
'Well try faster!'
'That's not how it works!'
'How hard is it to mess up chalk?'
'Well then you come here and you do it!'
"Maybe I will," Damian spits outloud, done with this farce.
"Uh, do you two need a moment or...?"
Damian answers the cultists question by kicking her in the face as he cuts himself loose.
He will rescue both himself and the demon they dragged into this world.

Another prompt just because I can!
(Damian is older than Danny in this because 14 yo Dami would see 14yo Danny as a threat and there would be an attempted murder. Damian sees a younger Danny as his sidekick because obviously that's how this works)
Danny is sent to the DC universe as a sort of vacation. He's not sure how being homeless in a completely different dimension was a vacation but he's good at rolling with the punches. His powers were practically built for being self sufficient.
Unfortunately the bats were a lot smarter than he expected and Danny was soon caught despite having been invisible for 99% of the crimes. His capture had nothing to do with him dropping his invisibility to laugh after phasing a clown bastard into locked dumpster. That could have been any black haired blue eyed boy with powers. Danny is innocent of all crimes...
Danny is innocent of most crimes.
Unsurprising the bats don't believe Danny's valid defense of having stumbled apon the scene while passing through the neighborhood. He can't gaslight his way out of being sent off to be adopted by the Wayne's. He's not as mad as he thought he'd be about this. Bruce was nice enough and his adoptive siblings liked him a lot for some reason??
He got along with the Wayne's pretty well. It was fun living with them. They did watch his power usage like a hawk; in the "don't do crime" or "Mother fucker! I know its you who's phasing my coffee cups into the ceiling!"Way instead of the "we're going to tear you apart molecule by molecule," kind of way. It was much nicer than back home but that's probably why this was considered a vacation, it wasn't realistic for daily life. Danny liked living with the Wayne's even though it's clear they're hiding something. He likes feeling normal so he could ignore a few secrets if it meant he got to live as a normal kid without a secret identity.
His adoptive family of course asked more about his powers Danny didn't say much and they didn't push him to much. He wanted to spill everything sometimes but he knows this realm and his were different and his problems there would only make his siblings upset when they heard.
Danny ends up living with the Wayne's for about a year before he feels himself being pulled back to his universe. Danny thinks he's going to disappear back to his universe and memories of him being here would vanish from his siblings minds. Danny's pretty sad about this but even if they won't remember him he wants to say goodbye. Danny goes to his siblings and pseudo father and gives them one last hug before he's brought back to his universe.
Danny goes back to his life thinking his adoptive family did the same. What he did not know because he never transformed is that the DC universe works different than his. When Danny is brought back to his universe he leaves behind a corpse with his adoptive family who definitely will not be forgetting this anytime soon
The batfam is devastated because their little brother just died in their arms for seemingly no reason.

(AU worldbuilding notes under cut)
For Vitriol au, not only do blood blossoms look like actual blossoms and not roses, but their origin has been slightly changed to fit the worldbuilding narrative. I've had the idea of them having an opposite of a flower with the ability to heal, and with that idea came the conflict and resolutions they can create. Vita violets hold an importance to the entirety of AU as they're used as a main conflict for certain arcs (War vs Peace and Greed vs Liberty, which are Nocturne and Pandora's backstory arc). If you're wondering if there's any downsides to vita violets, there are! It was briefly mentioned in the section about the numbing effectâ but just like any other medicine, too much of it isn't going to end wellâ and they'll be brought up again in the main storyline. All I can say is stay tuned for more worldbuilding explanations involving the ghost zone, its residents, and its relation to the living world. Also, this won't be the last time in seeing the vita violets nor that dark purple sash mentioned in the examples.

Lol, honestly, Danny would hate Dick! Like you said, three strikes, Danny's just made it his personal mission to let Dick know why he and Sam are the poster children for ACAB.
Ba bam!! New prompt for y'all.
Danny is Jason's biological son but Maddie is still his mom. Let's say Jack had become sterile after their experiments with ectoplasm. This is devastating because they want more kids/experiments. They can't go the artificial route they can't properly insure the donor would meet their standards.
Maddie and Jack decides Maddie will go get the genetic material from someone that meets their standards in a place they'll never travel to again. This place happens to be new Jersey Gotham and the donor they choose is of course Jason. They of course never tell him. Jason remains unaware to the outcome of his spontaneous one night stand.
...
Until Danny's brought to Gotham by Vlad for a gala. Imagine being the Wayne's and a sketchy billionaire introduces his godson and it's just a much younger version of Jason. The first thought they would jump to is clone so they're spending all this time talking to Danny while waiting for Jason to respond/ show up
In this time Danny manages to
1: Bully Dick for being a part of the circus when he tried talking to him (he's a cop, rich and he's from the circus; three strikes!!!)
2: Becomes immediate friends with Damian (They would be bff's and I will die on this hill!) Shenanigans ensue.
3: Makes a rich guy cry like a baby.
4: Is forcefully put in the corner by Vlad with the risk of sabotage to Jazz's future.
When Jason gets there he takes one look at Danny, his eyes glow green. He immediately knows Danny is his son. The batfam don't have the chance to confront him as Danny disappears before they get the chance. Danny unknowingly leaves chaos behind him.

here are a few things that could help if youâre looking to get into comics because itâs very confusing at first (and every moment after)
the dcu guide lists charactersâ appearances in chronological order
comicvine lists every appearance of a character
comicstorian is a youtube channel that summarizes comic arcs/character origins in short, easy to understand videos
lornahs has a lot of good character reading lists, dc & marvel
comic book reading orders has reading orders for almost all events & characters, dc & marvel
r/DCcomicsâ wiki has a large recommended reading page & a newbies section for people looking to start reading for the first time
comic book herald has a list of reading guides as well as a where to start with current dc & a beginnerâs guide to comics
the dc database has a recommended reading section
comics back issues has a list of reading orders as well as their guide to comics for new readers
and if youâre looking to get into lanterns, be sure to give my own, comparatively puny rec page a look!
good luck!

Dead serious prompt cuz I never do ship prompts.
Let's give it a shot!
Danny transfers to Damian's highschool, specifically he transfers into Damian's class. Damian's immediately smitten with him, head over heels love at first sight. Maybe Danny's done some animal rights protests and fundraisers with Sam? Maybe Danny just has good vibes.
Damian has no clue what to do with this feeling. He's emotionally constipated so Danny's first day ends with him getting a note in fancy lettering that reads
"Your eyes are like sapphires."
It's only one sentence (I can't write good poetry) But there's a beautiful Drawing of him below the writing. Danny smiles and puts this in his school binder. Damian sees this as an absolute win.
If we go with the Idea that Damian has the reputation of being cold and calculated it makes this prompt cuter.
Just Damian being a fully trained assassin and part-time vigilante but the moment Danny walks in he's googling
"How do you talk to cute boys?"
"What is a crush?"
" How to romance a guy as a guy?"
Just imagine being one of Damian's classmates, oh my God they must be so confused. The kid who usually talks like a dictionary and is as cold as block of ice is suddenly leaving romantic poetry in the transfer student's locker?!? He actively participates in class activities to talk with him? What kind of witchcraft is this??
Danny is doesn't know who his secret admirer is, but he kinda hopes it's Damian.
