PHASE 2

2015: Amanda posts to announce she’s created an area of remembrance for M-Day in an alcove with a stone that has a flame inside it magicked to never go out. Wanda emails Cammie and Jubilee asking to be reimbursed for having to work in a coffee shop all day the day before. Amanda emails the Phase 1 survivors to tell them about the remembrance area she set up. Jean and Warren finally go on their date and Jean learns more about Worthington Industries. Topaz texts Hope A. telling her she has wine. Cecilia posts asking that whoever stole her wine and left her money leave a note next time instead. Laurie posts to inform everyone she is taking Doug for dinner. The Foundation for Genetic Purity in Brownsville, NY collapses in such a way as to baffle authorities. Angelo posts asking if the building collapsed on its own. Adrienne posts to announce that she and Kane are away at the Plaza for the weekend and that she won’t be returning to the mansion afterwards, choosing to stay at her penthouse in the city instead. Julian goes to find Doreen to discuss the death of Monkey Joe.

2016: Operation: Mutant Massacre: Wade provides updates on the Morlock investigation on xp_teams about the Carlysle Medical Center, which is linked to the phone obtained from Sabretooth by X-Factor. The Two Sided Coin of Ambition: X-Factor starts looking into who might benefit from the information stolen from Keller Industries.

2017: Bobby texts Warren asking for help with cheering up Miles. Hope A. meets her father for a meal and they reconnect. Bobby leaves a birthday cake and a stack of visual novels for Miles.

2018: Maya takes over the music room with heavy metal to help her study. Angelica posts a philosophical question about Groundhog Day. Clea talks to Amanda about not talking to her parents about her birth “family” and finds out Snow Valley needs reception help.

2019: Clint expresses his frustration at the impact the government shutdown has had on his scientist contacts’ projects.

2020: Laurie announces she’s about to start her night shift rotation in the ER. Celeste Cuckoo emails Marie-Ange about the Ship of Theseus. Natasha lets people know that Clint has left for an unknown amount of time.

2021:

2023: Forge e-mails eXcalibur brainstorming ideas for portal containment. Marie-Ange pulls a copy of The Kirby-style Emperor card and needs an explanation.

2024: Finally released from the medlab, Arthur and Haller have a talk about Arthur's previous actions. Stephen posts an update for the medlab. Clarice shares a picture, not missing winter in New York in the slightest. Sam meets Shatterstar and they spar. Following this, Sam emails Kyle and Alani to ask to be involved with the GenX training. Sam texts Clint to tell him about his spar. Amanda uses Kevin S. as a source to help heal Darcy's hand. Liam finds Jessie settling in, and they chat.

Moment of Awesome - Clea:Meeting with Namor to get information on Atlantean magic, Clea finds herself on the end of some rather pointed questions.

The other man's head cocked to the side only by a few degrees. "Now that we're finished, Clea the Faltine, I have spent the whole of this conversation with a question of my own." He gestured vaguely as to encompass the whole of her. "Why? Why do you work so hard to blend into a people not your own."

Clea looked at him for a moment, "Because I don't know my own." She said simply and sighed, "I was a baby when I was brought to this dimension and adopted by my parents. I must have been barely a year old or so. From the records I can find, the Faltines are from a Hell Plane and are very secretive and rarely venture out of their own dimension. As for the Dark Dimension, I know that Dormammu came and took over, which led to a rebellion and the fall of those people. Even then the books I did find don't offer much. From what I saw, it was mostly in ruins. I don't even know if there are survivors that managed to make it this far." She paused again before saying, "I guess we are kindred spirits in a way. We both lost our homes." Tapping her notebook, "Maybe in my search for answers, I will find what I've been looking for."

"Yet, you could know them." It was a blunt statement. "I would violate everything sacred under the sun to bring my people back. You hold the power to tear open the way to other dimensions – I have seen what human mages can do. Surely you are more. Even then, We have our own portal. There are ways."

Clea looked at him in silence. No one ever mentioned that she could go to them for answers. She knew it would be dangerous to open a portal to the Dark Dimension, not without the risk of Dormammu finding out. Were those people, her people, alive? There was a possibility. All she did see were parts of the capital city and the castle, not the rest. "Isn't the portal unstable at the moment?" She came back to her senses.

"Nothing great is guaranteed," Namor said. "You have been too molded by human masters. 'Unstable,'" and his voice pitched higher in mockery, "'Risky.' Those are words used to keep pawns in their place. If that is what you wish to be, so be it."

Clea looked down at her notebook, her grimoire in the making, "They have been trying to mold many to be like them. It is why I haven't chosen that path. Despite the rocks, they keep sending." She sighed heavily, "Growing up in a world you thought you belonged in, only to have that reality ripped from underneath you. It makes you feel alone and naked. So, I have been grabbing at anything that will help that feeling lessen and hiding behind the bubble persona." Clea looked at Namor, "I don't know why I am telling you this. I don't want to be a pawn. Ever."

Namor didn't even blink. "So you play spy. Do those masters have you stealing from the mountain for their own gains? It is not ignoble to be a pawn. There is a cost to making difficult choices, and those who are content to serve simply refuse to pay."

"I play spy because I want to. And XF aren't masters, they pay my bills, so they are my bosses. That isn't a pawn, that is called being an employee. I am allowing my skills to be used and I can quit any time. As for stealing from the mountain, that was my idea." She looked at him for a moment.

"Pawns don't get a choice in the matter. I am searching for who I am, and yes, there may be people out there that wish to put me under their thumb. But I can assure you I am too stubborn for that." She reached into her bag and pulled out a hundred dollar bill and placed it on the table. "If I wasn't, I would have joined the Winding Way the moment I received the first rock invitation. Maybe I am using them to fill up the void I feel, to satisfy my hunger for knowledge." Grabbing her grimoire off the table and placing it safely in her back. "Like I said, I don't ever want to be a pawn. Making them think I am - that is a different story."

2016:

2017: Maya reacts to the recent murders. Miles relates the events of his winter break, including reaction to the recent deaths.

2018: Laurie posts a song that gave her an earworm. Molly posts dismayed about a Slenderman movie, and plans are made to steal it.

2019: Rogue posts about not having seen good resolutions for the New Year and shares her own.

2020: Marie-Ange announces an experiment with reading fortunes in tea leaves and canned Ravioli. Nica announces she’s back from spending the holidays with her grandparents.

2021:

2022: Artie posts to xp_teams asking the X-Force team about their new mansion resident April Parker. Matt and Megan speak about art, politics and the limitations of his special sight. Gabriel posts to xp_teams about being back in New York for a short time after a trip to Mexico. Clarice takes April clothes shopping. Kevin S. talks to Clint and offers him a job with X-Force.

2023: Garrison finds Felicia at Harry's and joins her in watching the Winter X Games. April texts Maya to let her know the package of snacks Forge mailed has some goodies for her. Clint emails the mansion to update them on the vending machine but the message is cut off. Inside the Chapel, the members of eXcalibur minus Forge and plus Illyana find they cannot leave.

2024: Hope S. gets a delivery of clothes, thanks to Clarice. An upset Sharon S. spends time in Kevin S's study in small-cat form while he reads. Shatterstar texts Madin about having been in juvie. Collective Soul: When Shatterstar goes to give Arthur the gift he promised, he finds Arthur's powers are still out of his control; Arthur looks to Haller for advice on how to handle his psychometry going forward. Jono runs into Paige in the library- literally- and possibly makes a friend. Sharon S. entreats Namor to help her in her campaign against Hope S. Jay meets Madin and helps with siding repairs. Shatterstar texts Rictor asking if he'd like to have a beer with he and Madin. Shatterstar sends a belated email to Doug asking about how to defeat ninjas. XFI and friends get together to give Alex a send-off, where stories are told and there's toasting and roasting (the latter mainly of Warren). Later Alani and Warren get high together and platonically watch porn as research for Alani’s sex ed class at District X and talk about their personal experiences and preferences.

Meggan also texts Namor her thanks. Case File: The Underbelly Project: Arthur emails the rest of X-Factor Investigations with updates on Mutant Underground going-ons he's caught wind of. In the Chapel, Darcy, Matt, and Namor investigate the vending machine.

2024: With the Guthries’ arrival, Alani makes a point to meet Jay. Kevin S. catches up with Gabe. Jean and Garrison finally have the conversation they've been avoiding for weeks now. Ashley texts Sam asking if the offer to stay at The Mansion is still open. Sam texts Alani to tell her he gave Ashley her number as a contact. Hope S. introduces herself on the journals. Sooraya emails Kyle about getting Hope S. into an education program. Kyle makes an All Teams post to [xp-teams.dreamwidth.org xp_teams] about looking for a man fitting Hope S.'s description of her father. Arthur texts Warren asking for the name of of a dinosaur movie. Sharon S. makes a snide journal post vaguely about Hope S. Darcy texts Sharon S. to advise her to be civil. Sam texts Paige asking if she'd like to get drinks with he and Alani before texting both Alani and Paige to figure out a time to get drinks. Arthur, who has been suffering from psychometric sensitivity, runs into Marie-Ange in the solarium and the two share a strange power interaction.
