It Has Been A Long Time -||- BlouBell

So I finished Azran Legacy today and I feel that, all plot twists and feels aside, this is a very good closure of the series-- even though I'd love to see Level-5 make more Layton games 'til the day I die :P

      As echoing footsteps in the hall way grew louder, Hershel stood up from one of the kitchen stools, where he had been reading a newspaper. He quickly stepped over to the front door, where his tophat was put neatly in the hallway closet. The tophat was a gift from Claire, and even though he loved the piece of headgear and the manner Claire's features brightened whenever she saw him wear it, it had taken some getting used to.         Hershel glanced into the hallway mirror and put on the tophat, sending himself a smile. He slid over to the door and twisted the doorknob with practiced ease.

"----Claire! What brings you here?"

*London was filled with the hustle and bustle of every day life. Claire smiled as the sun decided to peek through the constant fog. Her footsteps seemed lighter today as she headed for Hershel Layton’s flat. She bit her lip and hoped he would like the gift she had gotten him. it laid in a small box in her pocket. Claire got to his door and knocked* Hershel? are you home?

      "I am not at all hurt, though I must say I am curious as to the puzzle you're clearly facing. You see, a gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved."

Okay, THIS… THIS made my cry even harder than The Curious Village and The Diabolical Box combined… times two, maybe even more than that.

Screw you Professor Layton and your feels… 

AND QUIT BEING SUCH A GENTLEMAN! YOU’RE MAKING ME SET MY MAN’S EXPECTATIONS TOO HIGH!

Anyway, I think it’s possible to watch this without any prior knowledge of the series, so go watch it.
