On the topic of cc creators releasing the same shit several times, I accidentally found out a makeup cc creator I really like had released nearly the exact same lipstick twice but with different names and swatches slightly different. Like the exact same texture and all. Idk if I wanna bring attention to it though because I don’t know if this person does early access or not (I feel they do and it’s a quick Buck thing but idk) and also because at least some of the swatches are kinda different, but wowzers

Not to be extra but for some reason simstrouble and their cc finds blog won’t show up on my tumblr and I guess the reason must be that they blocked me?? Right?

I can’t see any other reason why since I can access outside of the app?

I’m heartbroken if so, nobody needs a reason to block but I’ve been supporting them for years. They’re literally the only person I patronize on Patreon. 🫠 and I’ve also never interacted with them??

ETA: I have no way to prove this but the only thing I can think of is that I posted some of their interiors, with credit, in a ts4 wcif community. Nothing but complimentary and I mentioned I had combed their cc finds blog and had no success finding the items I was after. That post is now inexplicably gone from the community as well. So the best I can determine is it was “fuck you specifically for asking the community wcifs”. Beyond that I’m bewildered and have removed my financial pledge to their Patreon. 🤷‍♀️

big sims creators, you aren't goddamn celebrities, don't start thinking of yourself as such. you're also not an inch above other simmers. don't start thinking of yourself as such.

also, not exactly related, but important to remember:

nothing legally stops us from editing, sharing and using anyone's cc any way we want, idk if people actually read ea's user agreement but i do, and it literally says that once you release your stuff, you give any player a permission to do anything with it.

you see, we abide by TOUs out of politeness, because being kind to each other is fun and punk and costs $0. please remember that. we make a choice to agree to your "rules" only because we love you. please remember it.
