I always thought Nick would die, ever since Season 1 but I expected his death to be written better than this. That was pathetic.

And it's not lost on me that every white "villain" on the show — Serena, Lawrence, Aunt Lydia — somehow got a redemption arc. Meanwhile, the racially ambiguous man was villainized in the final episodes in favor of the white characters.

Around season 2 I stop treating The Handmaid's Tale like it's this groundbreaking show about women's oppression and a vital cautionary tale, when it consistently ignores race.

This show was always made for white feminism. Some of you really need to dial back the self-importance you're projecting onto it.

DOC feels like a A christmas Carol with memory lost in a procedural medical drama.

Amy wasn't just a overconfident women in charge, she created a toxic environment as a boss, she wasn't care for anyone, she pushed away her daughter, her best friend because she was difficult and mean.

No one should be difficult with anyone and make your work place more difficult that it should be.

Ya know, I like the show "Doc" but there's this weird undertone that feels like it's low-key punishing a woman for being "a b*tch" pre-major brain injury. I can't tell if that's intentional and we're supposed to see the unfairness of characters hating her, holding grudges, and purposely keeping key details of her life from her as she struggles to remember anything. (Like, she has to beg and investigate and stumble forinformation on her own life when any of these people could just easily tell her things?)

Sometimes it shows she was loved however she was, by her bestie and bf and a doctor she knew as a kid. But then it will frame her as wrong for not dealing with the sudden death of her son "correctly" (i.e. care about everyone else's feelings besides her own), or make her actually have to comfort and appologise to her complete asshole ex-husband over their kid's death even tho HE'S been able to deal with it (shittily) for years while she just relearned she no longer has a son DAYS ago!

I dunno. Could be just me. Sometimes I get a weird hint of "It was bad when she was an acerbic, overconfident woman in charge, but now she's a good protagonist because she's accommodating and humble :)))" Heaven forbid a woman be difficult for anyone.
