Got my hands on a @lisaeldridgemakeup Lipstick in Love Of My Life! A lovely sheer (almost) fuchsia shade. The formula is pretty great, very hydrating, has a bit of slip but doesn’t feather. Also stains a bit which I always like in a lipstick. I wanted to get her last collection as well but considering how rarely I wear reds, I skipped it. It’s been a few months since I’ve had these in my life now. I’ve coveted the @ctilburymakeup Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette ever since it first came out, it’s been a treat to use it. I’ve had bit of an IG break because work has been intense but I always feel the itch to be back after a few months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While I’ve been away, I been using the @drunkelephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream semi-regularly. Feb-June was insanely hot and dry in my city. I found this to be light and hydrating in the eye area. I like the gel like texture and it sinks in easily. It’s not a product I would need all year round but so far, I like it the most out of all the eye creams I’ve tried. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Any luck with reducing dark circles? I tend to mostly feature products I really like but here are some that I won’t be repurchasing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was really excited to get my hands on @demamielskin Atmosphériques Pure Calm Cleansing Dew. It promised a spa like calming and relaxing cleansing experience. That it did deliver! The scent is so luxurious and calming, I really love massaging the oil in my face. However, after emulsifying and feeling like what an experience that was, I’m left with a slightly tacky film on my skin. It’s the only reason I feel it’s not worth the money to me. I do still use this, mainly when I don’t have much makeup and when I will be using a second cleanse to also get rid of the film. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I rarely dislike a @drunkelephant product but I was surprised with the amount of shimmer in the Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense. It’s a great sunscreen otherwise, the tint looks quite ok on my skin. The shimmer is not really noticeable from afar but it just makes me really self conscious and I end up not using this. Again, I hate seeing a product go to waste and so, I’m use this mainly on my arms and legs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lastly, it was an impulsive haul at the height of summer where everything with the words “cool” and “ice” were really appealing. The @milkmakeup Cooling Water provides a nice shot of hydration in a convenient Stick form. I feel like this made my skin more greasy, and unless I kept it in the refrigerator, it wasn’t too cooling for me. Also this has now kind of dried up so I’m not really sure what to do with it! It’s the perfect oil cleanser for a thorough makeup removing cleanse. I love how silky the oil is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @lixirskin Electrogel Cleanser is a nice creamy cleanser which doesn’t strip the skin. This is perfect as the second step. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @biologique Lotion P50 is my AHA toner of choice. I use this everyday or alternate it if I’m using a Vitamin C serum at night. I’ve used it for years now and it has maintained its HG status. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @klairs.global Unscented Supple Toner* is actually a really nice hydrating toner. It’s priced so well and I would repurchase this. This has a bit of slip to it and really adds a shot of hydration. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @huxley Grab Water Essence is a little more than the toner but really could just layer this multiple times to get plumped skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @huxley Cream Fresh and More is a nice lightweight moisturiser. I pick and choose to use them or sometimes I just forget to use them consistently! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @biodermaindia Sensibio H20 - Double Cleansing works so well that I only really use this when I have a lot of eye makeup or a bold lipstick to remove. It’s the only micellet water I’ve used but it’s perfect. Gentle, doesn’t irritate my eye area, removes stubborn makeup with ease. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist - Haven’t felt a facial spray as fine as this one. Now that we’re basically in summer where I’m at, I love using this right after work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @herbivorebotanicals Moon Fruit Overnight Mask is a moisturising and exfoliating cream. I typically use this when I’m just really tired and My routine is just a cleanser + this. Oddly dries to a matte finish and yes, totally bought this because I fell for the colour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @klairs.global Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drops* - This was sent to me many months ago and I’ve been using it over the last few months. It’s a light oil serum that sinks in quickly. Tbh, I don’t find the results to be quick enough for me. I’ve used higher concentrations of Vitamin C that give faster results and I prefer those. But I do think this a good gentle serum for a beginner or sensitive skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @drunkelephant Why do I always forget to use this?! I go through patches where I use this consistently for 10 days and then forget about it for a week. I guess that says it all? I love the texture of this and it’s very hydrating without greasiness but apart from that I haven’t noticed a massive different. I don’t have defined wrinkles (yet) but I can see where the tiny baby wrinkles are starting to get comfortable, I’m really trying to nip it in the bud. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @lixirskin Universal Emulsion - This basic moisturiser is perfect to use when I feel like my gel moisturiser isn’t enough. Here’s my current #morningroutine ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @lixirskin Electrogel Cleanser - A very creamy cleanser, good for that gentle cleanse. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @skii Facial Treatment Essence - Honestly, I haven’t noticed any difference this has made in my skin. Right now I’m just using it up. Very expensive cold splash. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @huxley_korea Grab Water Essence Serum - One of my favourite serums, but more viscous than water, gives that instant shot of hydration and sinks in quickly. Also feels a bit cooling when you apply it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @smashboxcosmetics primerizer - A nice primer and serum hybrid. It’s such a thin consistency, the amount I use depends on what my skin needs. If you have dry skin you’d maybe want a moisturiser on top as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @innisfreeofficial Essence Water Base Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ - A thin creamy sunscreen, it’s very moisturising and in the mornings I don’t feel the need for another moisturiser. It’s not greasy, no white cast either. Amazing sunscreen, I’d definitely buy this again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @dior Creme de Rose - This lip balm is now discontinued but it’s a lovely thin balm, still making my way through the pot but you’ll see this in an emptied post soon.
