Ur gonna lose ur shit when u find out that South Park has multiple episodes shaming pedophiles and why media depicting glorified abuse is bad lmfao
Why would I loose my shit at a comedy that criticizes the scum of the real world bro? South Park be doing something right dog. South Park is a satire that criticizes real world issues and makes fun of dumbasses.
But also, abuse is treated as a joke in the show at times as well, like fairly often. The first episode depicts a child getting anal probed because it was meant as a joke. Not to criticize anything. Just because it was funny. Not everything is that deep bro and there’s two sides to a coin

You ever see a blog and you just know you're in for some yee yee ass discourse but you scroll through it for a while anyways like you're rubbernecking a disaster equivalent to Godzilla rampaging through an innocent town?
That’s how I feel about all discourse accounts tbh lol. Same with callouts and such too lmao
Also, Godzilla mention! Hell yeah! Love that thing!

All of the ships are harmless because they're all completely fictional characters.

i feel like. being anti-harassment should be the default. i think its REALLY strange to go out of your way to bully strangers online. i don’t think. harassing people online and in fandom spaces should be the norm. that’s just me tho

Periodic rent-lowering-gunshots:
Fiction is not reality.
You can enjoy things in fiction that would be awful in the real world. Like playing a murderhobo in a game! In the real world, being or supporting a murderer-thief would be pretty damn awful, while in the game it's just good fun. Same with anything else you choose to do with the pixels on the screen, like kinks that don't affect anyone real, so they're okay in fiction, but would be pretty damn bad in real life.
No one else is responsible for your online experience. They are required not to harass you, but they are not and never will be obligated to not post about ships, kinks, or tropes you dislike just to avoid you seeing them. It's up to you to blacklist words or phrases, block tags, or even block users as needed to avoid seeing content that upsets you.
No one can force you to read anything against your consent. Any content you don't like seeing can be instantly avoided by closing out of the offending post/fic.
You are not owed an online experience free of discomfort.
Nothing that happens in your imagination can ever make you a bad person. Words you write or read about fictional characters will never make you a bad person.
The claim that media consumption influences real-life behavior is intellectually dishonest and serves only to excuse the behavior of real offenders.
Fiction is a safe way to explore horrifying or confusing concepts. Therapists agree that fiction, even (or especially) about taboo topics is a good coping mechanism, especially, but not exclusively, for trauma survivors. Fiction is to adults what play therapy is to children. This doesn't stop being true if the work in question is of a sexual nature.
Sex isn't an inherently worse or better motivation than anything else. A work written to create feelings of arousal isn't dirty, shameful, or in any way less pure than works written to entertain, provoke moral questions, or for other reasons. And worth noting is that multiple purposes can exist in the same story, especially fanfiction.
You aren't entitled to an explanation for why someone reads, writes, or otherwise enjoys certain works, kinks, tropes, ships, etc.

I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.
Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.
Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.

Honestly, I've started to think many Antis get their impression of proshippers from edgelord teens on the stupid Discord servers and Roblox games they're on...
Yeah, horny teens who thought they were "hot shit" existed as well when us adults were in the "proship-by-default" Internet we grew up in.
Y'all know the type I'm talking about: That one clown who'd call young girls "IRL lolis", send hentai unsolicited, talk way too much about little sisters and comment sexually on people's trauma. (Coincidentally, they'd usually also be the ones who make racist jokes, attack people for their ethnicities, etc; which is a behavior mostly seen in Antis but I digress.)
And yes, to a teen's developing mind, you'd see many of them like the same shit some proshippers do, and you'd assume they're the same people.
The difference is they're dumb hormonal teens with no self control, while most of us who call ourselves proshippers are adults with more than one braincell, who understand the damage censorship would do, no matter our personal feelings about the content. I assure you, 80% of those edgelords have NO IDEA what proship even means.
They're not us and they'll never be.

"we shouldn't normalize writing about rape, age gap, or other illegal things!"
Then we should normalize not writing stuff about murder, child abuse, etc.
"that's different-"
No it's not! murder is illegal, so is stuff like child abuse, so we shouldn't talk about it and put it in any type of Media.
"I'm just saying that because that type of media could make people think that stuff is okay irl!"
Then ban all horror movies. I mean really don't want people going on murder springs, do we?
"but-"
We should also get rid of violent video games. Because we don't want real people to get violent. Right?
"..."
Do you hear yourself buddy? If people like watching horror movies that doesn't make them support murder, That's the same if people like reading about rape does it mean that they support actual rape.
I'm out this bitch ✌🏾 (I'm also tired as shit! So excuse my wording..)

sick of new-wave underage proshippers thinking they HAVE to enjoy all forms of "problematic media" to be considered proship. i myself am proship, however, cant stand loli/shota. makes me uncomfortable, triggers me, hence why i dont interact with it. im sick of seeing kids literally forcing themselves to interact with all aspects of dark fiction just because theyre proship. its okay to have discomforts. its okay to have limts, as long as you accept not everyone feels the way that you do. idk if this makes sense. im tired. glad to see the proship community thriving anyway.
Say it louder.
Scream it.

people need to stop treating fictional characters like they're real people
it's so annoying
"simping over this character is objectifying them!!!" THEYRE LITERALLY OBJECTS. THEY DONT EXSIT. THEY CANT BE OFFENDED, MADE UNCOMFORTABLE, ETC, BECAUSE THEY DONT EXIST.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Antis who demand to know someone's trauma remind me of age regression haters who demand proof that a regressor does it for trauma reasons and not icky yucky secret kink reasons.
You don't care about victims, you care about your own moral crusade.

"trans women HATE trans men. they're oppressing you bc of their socialization" <- this is a manipulation tactic by terfs to isolate you from the broader trans community to more easily groom you into detransitioning (and possibly to groom you sexually too tbh). call it out for what it is

I keep meeting transfem(me)s IRL who genuinely believe that transmasc erasure is a real problem and that we transmascs have it just as bad as they do. Today I spoke to a gal who actually thought transmascs have it worse. I responded to her that I believe everyone in the trans community shares a deep pain, beyond quantifying, that there's not really a hierarchy to our pain. There are so many amazing women out in the world who get it, who cherish and love us and feel our pain with us, just as we (transmascs) cherish and love them and feel their pain with them.
The haters and the division-mongers are the outlier. They're just louder in online spaces. Hate and division will always lose. Love and unity is the way forward.
