i saw this coming ; goodbye
i'm really sorry to all those i have ongoing plots with. i'm sorry for dropping them, and i'm even more sorry for taking so long to reply. these plots were really interesting, and i really wish i had enough muse to keep it going and see where they led to. but sadly i don't.
i was never really social in the first place, but i'm thankful for all the people i've met here. you made it fun for me. i'm sorry for you dealing with my awkwardness and just everything. but just thank you! and if anyone wants to stay in touch or anything, my aim is sonnaeunrp
awh man, this is starting to get longer than i expected. why the heck do i word vomit so much. okay i should just stop here.
once again, thank you for everything, guise. i love you!
yan out, before i start to regret my decision. weeeps

once the two had finally arrived at the studio, naeun placed her stuff down toward the corner of the room. she then positioned herself on the floor, starting her stretching routine. having so much dance experience, naeun knew how important stretching was prior to any type of workout, especially dance. and especially since they two were probably spending a long while on it too. from calves to back to neck, naeun made she sure stretched every part of her body well.
while she was still stretching, changjo was already one step ahead and was getting the music ready. "do you have neyo's don't worry about it?" over the course of years, naeun had really developed a bias for neyo's songs. there was a beat that was strong enough to move too, yet it was contemporary-like enough to allow smooth moves instead of all hip hop. "if you don't have it, i have it on my phone."
maybe it was telepathy or something of that sort, but the younger did have the song. finally done with her stretching routine, she rolled her neck one last time before walking toward the center of the room. "the moves are pretty easy to catch on. i tried not to make it too simple or too hard." she flashed a shy smile at him, and nodded her head signaling him to start the music.
late night practice;
changjo blinked at the sudden spark of conversation. the two often didn’t talk but allowed actions to speak for them. neither of them were really into conversation all that much anyway. he smiled though and nodded, “that’d be good. as soon as we arrive at the studio, you can show me the parts you worked on.” the two had different unique styles, seeing as how both of them had different dance backgrounds. naeun noona was a trained ballet dancer - while he himself was never properly taught and only knew what he knew because of self teaching. he was a hip hop dancer by trade.
the walk to the studio was going to be relatively short so it was only a matter of time until they got there. he was curious to see how they would do a collab, seeing as the different dance styles were drastically different from each other. changjo’s style was rough while naeun’s was more smooth. it would be an interesting collab, he guessed.
once they entered the studio, changjo dug in his backpack for his itouch and his idock and plugged it into a socket. he sat on the floor as he began to stretch his upper body before standing to stretch his legs. he stretched his back as well, his vertebrae let out an audible crunch as he sighed in contentment. he turned to naeun and smiled. “so what was the song that you were planning on dancing to?” changjo himself didn’t really mind what song he was going to dance to. he scrolled mindlessly on his itouch as he waited for naeun to get settled.

take a seat | park kyung and son naeun
The public transportation in South Korea was reliable. It was a known fact amongst the natives and foreigners alike and because of this, buses tended to be quite busy at almost all hours of the day, or at least whenever Kyung decided to use the system. Since moving from France, he often felt anxiety when driving his car, so he kept it at home most of the time and dealt with the crowds when he needed to go particularly far from his apartment. It was a small price to pay for safety when Kyung was still becoming acquainted to the city.
Kyung eyed the passengers and as they stopped to let more passengers on, he tapped at his knees, quite ready to get to his destination. As many people filtered out of the door, many more stepped on and found empty seats, leaving several women standing, one stopping right in front of Kyung. He looked up the girl and gave a smile as their eyes met, standing up to surrender his seat, slipping past her and motioning for her to sit.
“Please sit,” he urged her, grabbing onto the railing as the bus went into motion.
naeun normally preferred walking over any other type of transportation. she didn't know how to drive, and her parents were always out. riding a taxi was just too awkward for her. and riding the bus was normally just too crowded for her. walks provided her the luxury of taking her time. plus it was just quiet enough for her.
yet naeun had to travel to another part of seoul to go visit her sister and just the thought of walking there was insane. it would have taken her probably a whole day. so instead naeun decided to take the bus; at least it would be filled with people and she could still have her own artificial bubble instead of being in a car alone awkwardly with a taxi driver. there was nothing wrong with that -- taxi drivers are all nice -- but buses just felt more comfortable.
she walked onto the bus and all the seats were already filled so she was forced to stand and grab onto the railing. looking around, she accidentally made eye contact with another male. she smiled at him out of politeness. yet in a blink of an eye, he was already up and standing next to her. before she could even register anything, his words of offering his seat to her poured poured of his mouth. instinctively she shook her head. "oh no, i'm fine with standing. you can just take it back!"

Seoul was a very busy city. With it’s high density population and collection of stores that remained open through all hours of the day, it was always a city on the go, and while Yerim was no small town girl since she hailed from Los Angeles, sometimes even the hustle and bustle of Seoul was overwhelming for her. It was because of this that she had discovered the quieter corners of the city, where life didn’t seem to move as fast and she could sit down and relax and not worry about wasted minutes or her next meeting, and she was particularly fond of a quaint little cafe just south of her usual busking spot. It wasn’t as popular as many of the other cafes that littered the popular street, but it had a large enough clientele that returned daily to keep business afloat, and she had become one of them.
After ordering her cup of coffee, she took her number and proceeded toward an empty table, passing by a young woman who seemed to be sketching something. Curious eyes scanned over the piece, and before Yerim even had a chance to stop herself, a compliment pushed past her lips and out into the quiet atmosphere of the cafe. “You’re really good.”
naeun was never one to like loud areas, crowded areas, busy areas, which is why she tended to find herself to be at this cafe. it was no less than a street away from the main hustling streets of the city, and not so far that it became dangerous just to walk down the streets alone on. it was just naeun's cup of tea -- almost literally.
whenever she didn't feel like being at home or at the dance studio, this cafe was where she resided at. the atmosphere was nice, it wasn't filled with much people, and it was quiet enough for naeun. what she did at the cafe often varied. when she was still in school, it would most likely be homework. occasionally she would bring her laptop with her, or just surf the web from her phone. yet lately, she had picked up her routine of drawing again and her she was sitting at an empty table, hands swiftly moving across the page creating lines that would later form into a piece of art.
her span of attention was interrupted when she heard a quiet voice just above her. she looked up, unsure if it was directly toward her; it was. a shy smile crept onto naeun's face and she looked to the girl. "eh, it's still a work in progress. but thanks." her shoulders nonchalantly rose into a light shrug.

Holding onto the strap of tiffany blue bag, she walked along the cemented sidewalk with a small frown on her lips. It was the last day before finals begun at her university and there was no way she'd be up for that, not quite yet. Seolhyun took in a deep breath of air and took a left turn, causing her to gasp as she suddenly collided into another figure. Taking a few steps back, she bowed before the other speaking rather quickly as she said, "That was completely my fault, I'm sorry!"
the weather out was a good one. it was warm, bright, and sunny -- maybe too sunny. naeun was out walking down the street, going back home from a just finished shopping trip. it was pretty succesfull considering she spent more than she had intended too and was carrying a bag full of clothes in her left hand. with her free hand, naeun reached into the abyss of her purse, searching for her sunglasses to shield her from the blinding sun. she was turning a corner onto a more busy street just as her hands ran over the familiar physique of the sunglasses.
unfortunately though, instead of pulling her sunglasses from her bag, she found herself unstably moving backwards. once her balance was regained, her head lifted up looking at the other that she had just bumped into. "oh no, i'm at fault too! sorry."

it is really easy to make naeun laugh. she literally laughs at almost everything, even if others think it's lame. like if a piece of lettuce falls onto the couch while they're eating salad and a person says that the couch is eating the salad, she would laugh. if you make her laugh a lot, she might even say she finds you funnier than yoo jaesuk.
with this said, naeun smiles really easily, but it normally doesn't last a long time. nor does the laugh. it's not that she doesn't find it funny anymore, she just doesn't feel comfortable showing her emotions. however, she's been working on smiling more -- especially in awkward situations to try to ease any type of tension.
beside smiling and laughing, naeun is hardly seen bearing any other emotion.

whatever, naeun thought as she pushed the little bit of irritation to the back of her head. at least the girl wasn't late enough to barge in while they were actually dancing or anything. her attention span returned to getting the class warmed up. she normally spent around three minutes stretching and then a song's time worth of running through some basic cardio or dance grooves. especially since naeun was teaching an intermediate level class right now, their warm up was going to consist of basic dance moves.
with the stretching done, naeun turned the stereo on to a basic bass heavy song and took her spotlight in the front of the room. they were going to run through some beginner leveled routines to get into the mood and warm up with bodies plus get their blood pumping. with naeun's instructions and demonstration at the front of the room, the group of students quickly mimicked her actions. "now doubletime." naeun would speak out occasionally, trying to intensify the routine a little more.
since naeun's back was facing the group, she used the mirror to monitor them. it was just a warm up so she wasn't totally into walking around the room helping anyone out; it wasn't like it was a huge part or anything. yet, when she looked back at the mirror, there was something that immediately drew her attention. it was that girl again. she wasn't doing anything, and it made naeun a little bit irritated. if anything, she wouldn't have minded if she was even putting in sloppy effort -- at least there was effort -- but she wasn't. combined with the incident from earlier, the girl was not making a good impression.
"i want everyone to be doing this with me," she looked into the mirror, straight at the girl hoping that she somehow saw her gaze because naeun was directing the words toward her. yet, she also didn't want the girl to see her gaze because it was just awkward.
「 unwanted presence ; soojung + naeun 」
today wasn’t exactly soojung’s day. she hated being late, even if it happened oh so often. though today, there wasn’t much of an option for her. the girl got in trouble in class for being accused of cheating and was sent to the principal’s office for a meeting with her mother. it wasn’t exactly ideal, since she has a job at a restaurant in sinsa after this, and then dance lessons after that. she didn’t understand why she had to be there especially when all she was doing was sitting outside while the adults were talking. knowing her mother, soojung was excused right after that and things would have to be settled later at home.
she sprinted off school grounds and rushed towards the bus stop for her next destination: work. before anything, she made sure that her boss knew that she was going to be late, again. it was only a weekday, so she thought that nothing too crazy should be going on at work, but of course, she was wrong. apparently, there was some sort of tourist attraction nearby and a lot of people were getting hungry, so they decided to come to the restaurant she worked in. the last thing her boss wanted to hear was that she was going to be late.
so after the long train ride, soojung arrived, and her boss wasn’t exactly very pleased with all the hectic things going around. even when her boss knew she had made plans after this, her punishment was washing the dishes after her hours. today is just getting better, huh? her whole time span at work mainly consisted people constantly scolding her and pleading her why their food was late or when it was going to come out. it was the most frustrating thing she ever had to deal with at work since she started.
ten minutes late for dance, and quite frankly the girl didn’t even care about it anymore. she was tired and sure that after dance the day wasn’t going to end. the girl grabbed the key to her locker and changed, taking her sweet time doing so. once she finished, soojung made her way to the studio room where she noticed a girl probably around her age smiling at her up front. perhaps she wasn’t late? soojung showed no interest in her and walked towards an empty space where she began stretching by herself.

[' nods her head in agreement, only half understanding what the girl was saying right now. her attention was more focused on her paper ; continues to finish sketching out the baby bird, deciding to only do the outline and do the shading later when there was better lighting. the street light gave off enough light for her barely see the paper without her own shadow blocking most of the light ; she places her pencil down and looks up, staring blankly at the girl for a couple of seconds before awkwardly looking away, a shy smile forming on her face. she was getting mixed vibes from the girl. at first glance, she seemed distant and intimidating due to her emotionless expression and lack of speech -- which was quite funny since it was the exact reasons others have told her that made herself seem intimidating. yet she could tell that she really wasn't as bad as her first impression through the way she was indirectly complimenting her ] eh? naeun's eyes averted up from the menu to the boy, looking over and studying for the first time his physical appearance and state. it was actually the first time she's seen him in a long time, and she had to admit he looked very drained and tried. it was like he barely had any life in him. she'd know that a trainee's life was practically the same as a zombie's, but naeun kept her optimistic view on it and knew it would pay off for the younger in the end. if anything right now, she would have just pushed the younger to sleep, but she knew that it was important for him to be treated to a good and proper meal. she couldn't help but feel concerned for the boy.
a queen of oblivion. that's what her family normally deemed her as. naeun had to admit though, she did live up to that title. she was slow to catch onto things and could be easily deceived. though she was a bit skeptic of the boy's words since it didn't match with his normal self, she looked at him with a quizzical glare and then quickly shrugged it off as nothing. "are you sure about that? i won't get that much then." it was like some telepathy with the waiter or something similar, because once naeun placed her menu down, he stood right there ready to place their order. she placed the order of two servings of samgyeopsal and one of galbi -- a tone down from their normal five servings total.
naeun shifted in her seat, getting more comfortable for they were probably going to be here for a while. she looked over to ricky. "so.. how's everything been?" she had to admit she was guilty of not constantly keeping in contact with him. she normally had trouble with initiating any type of conversations, but the two were long past the stage where naeun would feel uncomfortable starting a conversation with him; she couldn't use this an excuse. she didn't even have an excuse except her extreme laziness or the worry that she was somehow bothering him. even naeun knew herself that keeping a conversation going with her, especially when it was not face-to-face, was a difficult task. there was always the tugging curiosity sitting at the back of her head that wondered how he had done it over these past years. she didn't like the thought of adding another burden to his load as a trainee already.

kt casting ; beautiful (acoustic) ; gangnam -- cheongdamdong
it had actually been a while since naeun had been out in public for some sort of performance. even more, she'd been letting her singing slink down while she focused more on dancing. it seemed quite normal, considering that her mom did own a dance studio after all. plus, her one connection that had held her to her singing roots was long out of the country. ever since jieun had left back for the states, naeun stopped making youtube covers without her counter part here; it just felt weird to do anything without her. jieun had always been the voice of the two of them, and naeun was more of a backup. though she was perfectly fine with singing solos, it just felt odd. in addition, naeun's guitar skills were no where near her friend's. her social skills weren't exactly good either. to simply put everything, naeun had stopped when jieun moved -- not only was it youtube videos but also gigs.
yet somehow, she felt this urge to pick up either making youtube videos again, or even just doing a street performance. naeun just wanted to do anything that made her feel alive again. she'd been feeling really under the radar lately and guilty that laziness has been getting the best of her and preventing anything productive except for dancing. it wasn't a bad thing, but she just wanted to be more well rounded. with a whole bunch of time weighing out the pros and cons between either a youtube video or a street performance, she decided for the street performance. naeun had always felt awkward when filming the videos, and she liked the immediate response from people at a performance more too.
with her music partner thousands of miles away, she really had no choice but to perform a solo this time. or maybe not. though naeun was the more musical and creative one, her sister had possessed a skill that she was jealous of, the guitar-- actually, naeun was pretty much jealous of everything her sister did, not just this. eunhae had always claimed that as her one and only tie to music. eunhae had taken guitar when they were younger while naeun took ballet. eunhae quit after a few years, but she still kept playing occasionally to not let the skill rust ; she had always joked that it was romantic and she was going to attract more boys with it. naeun's basic skills of guitar was also taught from her sister. she just never strengthened this skill since there was both her sister and jieun that she always used as a resource. yet, acoustic was more of naeun's style and that's what she wanted to perform.
she called her sister up and told her of her plans and requested for her help. aside from her mom being naeun's most avid supporter, eunhae was always there for naeun, so without a doubt eunhae said she was fine with helping.
naeun found herself on one of the more crowded streets in cheongdamdong, gangnam, facing her sister, a huge smile apparent on her face. her sister was never big on performing out in public, but through plenty of persuasion, naeun managed to convince her to play the guitar for her. they were sitting on one the benches guitar in hand and discussing briefly the rundown. since they were both too busy to accommodate to each other's schedule, they never practiced together before. naeun had just sent the music sheet to her and counted on her practicing. it was really just practically a solo for naeun, and she could have just used background music, but there was always a better aura when it was live. plus, naeun was confident that they would make a good duo. even before the performance started, there were a couple people gathering around anticipating something. they did have guitars in their hands afterall.
once she was ready to start, naeun looked over to her sister and gave her nod along with a smile. she started her first line when the nod was reciprocated.
beautiful my boy. beautiful my boy.
through making the arrangement to fit her style, naeun had planned to play the guitar with her sister for the first verse and chorus of the song. it was a pretty slow arrangement in which she felt would best display her voice and style.
Nothing better than you 세상을 다 줘도 You you you you 너와 바꾸진 못해 Hey baby girl 매일이 즐거워 사실 좀 두려워 누가 뭐래도 넌 I want
when singing the first verse, naeun mostly focused her attention on her sister. since it could be called a winged performance, naeun wanted to make sure her sister was doing alright and she was ready to adjust to her anytime. yet everything seemed to be going well and naeun felt herself sucked more into the song. just before she started the chorus, her gaze shifted from eunhae to the audience, which had grown bigger since the beginning. she felt herself more relaxed, and smiled at her audience. with every face that she saw enjoying the song, naeun's smile grew wider and felt the words leave her mouth more easily.
once the chorus was finished, she stood up from her seat and placed the guitar down. even if she wanted to focus on her singing more for this performance, dancing was her familiar ground. she couldn't just not dance, so she added a part in her arrangement for dancing while singing. since singing was still her main focus, the choreo that naeun came up with was simple, but she made sure it was more interactive to hook more of her audience in.
네가 힘들 땐 언제나 I’ll be there 아무 때나 내게 와 나의 품에 안겨 그냥 눈을 감고 내 맘 들어 봐봐 Oh Listen listen listen girl
the speed was picked up just slightly so that it would seem more uplifting. with fluid-like motions, naeun moved her body in the way that she rehearsed while still singing out the lyrics; with a ballet background, incorporating less pop moves into a more acoustic-style song was not hard. and it seemed to pay off. the crowd around her right now was significantly more than she expected, and a warmness could be felt within her heart that radiated off her with a smile from ear to ear and she performed. this was always what she dreamed of -- to see people's enjoyment from her performances.
anytime she sung the chorus, she picked an audience member to look straight at. one of the reasons she picked this song was that she felt it was very interactive.
You oh beautiful, You so beautiful You my beautiful nothing better than you
the song continued on in the same manner, and occasionally she would look back at her sister. even while she was playing, naeun knew she was enjoying herself and only made naeun more content with her performance. aside from the sign that her sister was enjoying it, people in the audience were nodding their heads along to the beat, clapping their hands, or just simply in enjoyment. her mission was accomplished here, and she felt good about it.
with just a verse left, naeun returned back to her seat and picked up the guitar. she was going to end the song the same way she had started it. she had pumped up the mood of the song and  the beat had been faster, but now that she had a guitar back in her hands, she gradually slowed down the beat and sang the last verse.
You oh beautiful, You so beautiful You my beautiful nothing better than you Oh beautiful You, So beautiful You My beautiful nothing better than you
the last line was drastically slowed down, and after naeun sang the word, she strummed the last chord and let that sound ring. it was a successful performance, and naeun was planning on doing more. through her hiatus from singing and focus of dancing, she really had forgotten how much fun these mini street performances were.
