With the announcement of Lego Pokemon sets coming out in 2026, this gave me some ideas for a potential Pokemon x Lego video game should it ever come into existence. I’ve got two ideas so far:

Idea 1: A remake of a core series Pokemon game that’s in the Lego style, something akin to how Lego games like Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Harry Potter, or Lego Star Wars looks. The gameplay would still be identical to the Pokemon games.

The first games that came to my mind when I thought about which Pokemon games could get a Lego-themed remake are the Gen 5 games (Black, White, Black 2 and White 2). One of the reasons is for the potential for a cutscene with Kyurem transforming into Black/White Kyurem in a Lego-style Black 2 and White 2 remake. I can imagine Lego Kyurem absorbing Lego Reshiram or Zekrom, breaking apart, and reassembling into White or Black Kyurem respectively. In my mind, I think this would work well with the concept of mixing Lego pieces from different sets, which is what some people do IRL.

A second reason is the evolution animation that was used in the Gen 5 games. For those who don’t know, when a Pokemon evolved in these games, it would break apart into squares. The squares would then spin around for a few seconds, and then the Pokemon would be reassembled into it’s evolved form (think of a Pikachu turning into squares and then being reassembled into a Raichu, and that’s pretty much what the Gen 5 evolution animation was). This could work with a Lego styled game in that a Pokemon could be disassembled upon evolution, and the bricks would be used to assemble the Pokémon’s evolved form.

Idea 2: Bringing back the Pokemon Rumble series, and for either one entry only or for the rest of the series for the foreseeable future, change the Toy Pokemon into Lego Pokemon. They would work identically to Toy Pokemon, but perhaps they can break into Lego bricks upon being knocked out or tip over like Toy Pokemon do when they faint.

Maybe we could even get a Pokemon Rumble game where then main mechanic is essentially Pokemon Infinite Fusion’s main mechanic: combing any two Pokemon to create an entirely new Pokemon to battle with. Like with the idea I had for the Black 2 and White 2 Lego-styled remake, this would work with the concept of combing 2 or more Lego sets to create something that can’t be found in the sets alone. This game could be called Lego Pokemon Rumble Fusion or Lego Pokemon Fusion Rumble, whichever one works better.

I’m genuinely thinking about killing myself. This shit show we call 2024 is going to get worse.

Between the Chuggaaconroy drama, my brother’s old truck and my dad’s car breaking down in the span of two months, upcoming clinical internships that I might completely fuck up in, coming to terms with the fact that I am likely an emotional abuse survivor and can’t get away from my abuser, attending a charity event that was horribly organized, and realizing that Trump is likely going to win the upcoming election and end democracy as I know it, I have 0 hope for my future.

I just want to die.

I read Chuggaaconroy’s statement today.

It’s a lot to process, to say the least, but… I think the best way to summarize it is that Emile did indeed fuck up. Multiple times in fact. But it seems like he was kind of a victim in his own right at places.

I don’t know if I’m going to resubscribe to him for the time being, nor do I know if I’ll add TheRunawayGuys back to my fandom list. All I will say that I feel bad for everyone mentioned in the document, as well as Emile himself. Everyone suffered in their own way, and I hope they can all heal and move on.
