To help teens celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, we have Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) of "Brighter than the Sun" by Daniel Aleman and "An Appetite for Miracles" by Laekan Zea Kemp which feature the stories of Hispanic teens. While supplies last, teens can pick up one of these titles in the YA area/Teen Space at Headquarters through October 15th.
Thanks to the LBYR Faculty Lounge (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers) for donating these to us for our Teen Book Club that allows our teens to read and keep featured books in exchange for their reviews at https://hachettebookgroup.formstack.com/.../lbfacultylounge.

October, the month for all things eerie and hair-raising. You may spend it reading a book that gives you the chills or watching a movie that causes you to sleep with a light on, but what if YOU created something spooky? That is exactly what we will be doing at the Spooky Poetry Workshop on October 25th.
Poet-in-Residence James Aaron Snow will be showing you how to find the words, form the lines and stanzas, and compose your own poem about all things spine-chilling. Who knows, you may even decide to hand out copies with bags of candy on the 31st!
For ages 12-18. All attendees will have a chance to win a door prize, and hot chocolate will be served. Hope to see you there!
