Yandere/obsessed SG rung is basically like a clingy ex of a god when the humans left and then returned and see you again. i don't think SG rung would physically harm you, But he totally gets the guilt tripping therapist mode on with the entire 'you're literally the primes' parent too.. aren't you proud of what we made?' (Based off this because its funny and you can't tell me SG rung isn't atleast a little prideful at that fact..)

synopsis: you, a lone neutral in the middle of war, suddenly find an unconscious combiner on your doorstep. a/n: guess who my fav combiner is (⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠) also mistakes are everywhere 'round here,, that's a warning

Being a neutral in Cybertronian war, even if it may seem mundane, is not something to be taken lightly—knowing that you have no guaranteed protection, every mech for themselves, and energon nowhere near a silver platter.

At least, that's how it is for you. Not only are you a neutral, but you also travel alone, avoiding companionship from even fellow neutrals.

— Your cycle had been going smoothly. Supplies traded, objectives met, everything functioning with ease.

That is, until you returned to homebase, and out of nowhere—a gigantic, collapsed combiner sprawled in front of the entrance. Lamely blocking your path. Face-first on the ground too.

Narrowing your optics at the strange sight, your guard rises higher and higher. You listen to the low purrs of their engines, faint enough to be dormant. There is nothing else in your surroundings to be heard but the distant hum of the fallen Iacon. Then it should be safe, you suppose? No other hidden sparks?

You can't see their symbol—but slag, Primus knows you don't give a flying klik on which fraction they came from. Autobot, Decepticon, all the same to you at this point. This isn't a neutral either; there are deep scratches and burns on their frame, the telltale signs of war.

Which is why you completely avoided the sleeping combiner, fast-walking around its frame until you reached your front door.

They will have someone coming for them soon enough. A combiner isn't something to lose so easily.

You look around your base for good measure, deeming it satisfactory in the disguise department. It blends with the structures around it—half-destroyed thanks to the combiner. Whatever. Good enough. No one should suspect a thing. Sure, you do have other bases, but it would be so annoying if they spot you—maybe it'd even the end of your spark.

...

There's a low rumble. Quickly, you turn around, powering up your weapon—

You tense at the combiner's large, red optics. His head now turned, a relentless gaze boring into you.

For a few kliks, he only stares unblinkingly, almost making you believe he’s malfunctioning.

"Don't... hurt Bruticus," he says suddenly, a raspy voice deep and slow, like it's taking everything in him to speak.

Gritting your denta, you shut the entrance close on him. Well, then, you have to start packing this base up. Not safe anymore.

Either way, they should be gone tomorrow.

Bruticus is, in fact, not gone.

A cycle has already passed. You opened the door with all hope that he's been retrieved—but no. He's still lying there, head in the same position as when he startled you, optics presently offline. Must still be in recharge.

You bite back an irritated scream; this is nothing but a sign of trouble. Bruticus is clearly in pain, though, so something must be severely damaged to the mechs that make him up themselves. Maybe—you don't really know much about combiners.

Still, you can't afford scrap about whatever happened to them. You step around the frame again and go forward on your cycle—to gather some moving crates.

It’s a quick trip, but maybe he'll be gone once you come back.

He's still here.

Stepping around him again, at this point, there's no point in bothering anymore. While your sensors show no one else nearby, that could change in an instant. You have to abandon this base, the sense of urgency skyrocketing in your processor.

Except you slowly take a moment to look back.

His optics are online. You jolt from surprise, your crates fumbling in your arms, suddenly feeling very exposed under his stare.

"You—"

"...Where is Bruticus?"

You pause. The question catches you off-guard. "What?"

"Bruticus can't... move," he says, followed by a long groan escaping his engine.

"I'm sure someone will come find you," you murmur, ignoring the guilt bubbling in your spark.

"I am abandoned," he grunts. "Exiled."

...

... Frag.

You drop everything and walk inside your base.

Then, you come back out, medical supplies in your servos.

You were saving these for yourself but nevermind then. Looking up, he's still staring at you with those big old eyes. Slag it.

Slowly, you begin to take steps forward.

The conbiner vents a heavy sigh. "Go away. Bruticus don't want you here—!"

"Relax, big bot," you say calmly, holding up one free servo. "I'm here to help. I won't hurt you. This is a medkit, see?"

Doctor Zara can't be evil. And yet, here you are, next to the runaway kid, listening to her very evil words. What do you mean she's not a real animal lover?? What do you mean you've been working under her a year and haven't noticed??

A small rustle. The boy—you forgot his name already—moves quickly, reaching for something.

He turns and meets your eyes for a moment. Gently, you nod, shifting your eyes from her direction to his. Then he runs away without a second thought—to freedom, you hope, there's nothing you can do about it now.

"Sweetheart?"

You jolt. Eyes widening, you whip your head to see Dr. Zara with a concerned face of her own. Her eyes are speculating, you're not supposed to be here.

Her brows furrow under her glasses, expression turning dark—

"Doc!" you chirp, a smile spreading across your lips. She merely blinks as you hook your arm around hers. "There you are! You took a while, so I got worried. Everything okay?"

Act normal. Act unbothered. Your smile struggles to keep up, but outwardly, you just look like you're about to laugh.

The doctor struggles to find her words. "No, ah, it's nothing. Next time, just text me."

"Sure, sure," you chuckle, guiding her back to the tent—not minding the way her arm tightens its lock on yours.

You can't sleep.

Dr. Zara is next to you, sleeping quite soundly, her snoring going from one ear to the other. This evil, evil woman—who implied she would kill the kids.

One of your eyes twitches, just staring at the dark top of the tent. What the hell? You're a genuine animal-lover, and she isn't?? She does everything she does for money?

...No, the Zara you know would never have a mindset that shallow.

Maybe it's a misunderstanding.

Something nudges you at the side. You already know what this is. Somehow, she got out of her sleeping bag, as usual for the messy sleeper. Back then, when this was a new thing, you always found yourself waking up with her against your chest.

Then you feel something wrap around your waist. A hugger at sleep too. Not so much as a tree-hugger though, you think bitterly.

Despite all your thoughts, your mind blanks entirely as you wrap an arm around her. It is cold. Just for tonight, you'll pretend everything is okay.

Once the mission is over, you'll quit.

Dr. Zara flutters her eyes open.

It's sunny hot, a vivid contrast from the last memory she has—deathly snow and the cold everywhere she goes.

Wait. She gasps and sits up, but a hand shoots up to stop her, pushing her back gently. The doctor grits her teeth as she glares at you.

"You'll walk closer to death if you try to stand," you mutter, not even looking her way as you organize the medkit. "Try not to freak out. I saved your life, Zara."

Then, a slow, heavy weight on the Zara's just laid her back down. She exhales, her ginger hair falling off her sides.

"...Why?"

You pause. "Why what?"

"You watched me. Saw everything. Tried to stop me." Her words are between her rough breaths.

"What of Everest?"

"Well, I'm not about to leave you and Victor alone when you're still alive. He's in a coma by the other tent."

"You don't deserve to ask that," you snap.

A moment of silence before she closes her eyes. "You saved me."

"Yes," you confirm, almost hostile. "I did. This is the last time I'll ever be associated with you."

You grimace. "Maybe too much."

Your words didn't get to settle in her chest for a moment. She peers at you lazily from her spot, her eyes shifting at your expression. Then, it sinks. An unpleasant squeeze at her heart.

"No," she murmurs, a hand reaching to firmly grip your sleeve. "I need you."

HIHIHI ITS OKIII I get why he isnt that popular, but he's from IDW Megatron Origin #2 comic, where he's basically like a rlly corrupt politician lol

While i was stretching out the idea where i'd go with the soft yan/obsessed senator ratbat- (cus at first i didnt think much, i just want to smooch his senator form lol) i realized i may have made him too soft and probably a character arc too 😔😔 so just consider it soft obsessed

Ok so it starts out a pretty normal day for you. You're just making some tea for yourself when you heard rummaging noises outside your home. You thought it might be some cats- and you ignored it at first. But then, it gets louder. So you finally decided to check it out. And you found.. a big metal bat. What.

Still, after the initial surprise, You came close to it. It seems even more panicked when you approached but you immediately tried soothing it and putting in some mechanic knowledge you do have to stop his shiny (probably alien blood) liquid leaking. Its eventually calms down and you took him inside. Its weight is sure no joke.

Its only when inside when you put the metal bat down on your couch does it falm down entirely. And it shared his name. "Ratbat". Huh. Who would've guess eh?

For the next few days you continue looking after it, making sure his injuries aren't too bad. You quickly found out that Ratbat, is one of a cuddly fella. He loves sleeping close to you and you find yourself not minding it, despite the claws. The next day, he's already gone. But he surprises you by visiting during the evening. And it becomes a habit to see ratbat visiting in almost everyday and to cuddle while you sleep.

For Ratbat, he was just happy to find a friendly human who had helped him, and the fact that you're fine with cuddling him. He enjoys physical touch, you absentmindedly running your fingers against his plating.. He'd fly from the base just to visit you often after he recovered. It was a routine he can get used to.

But one day, something changed.

It was just like any other day, you and ratbat began settling in the bed for the night. And he fell into recharge, ready to repeat the cycle again tomorrow, with you. Just you and him. Him as your "big weird alient metal bat".

The next morning, ratbat was the one who woke up first. And he feels.. odd.

He feels his own frame's weight is heavy. he suddenly feels too aware of every shift in his plating- his claws twitchs.. and it feels too big, heavy, and- and wrong.

what?

His optics snapped open. He feels a warm body beside him and- ah. Of course.. he remembers.

He's in your home.

He shifts a little to see your smaller form, still sleeping next to him, peaceful. Unaware of the massive stranger in your bed now.

His breath hitchs.

What if you woke up- not to your small, cuddly and affectionate (not that he'd be any less if you'd allow it in this form..) little weird alien metal bat.

What if you woke up and quickly realized something is amiss? And your eyes would darted to him- and what happens when you looked at him and-

You flinch? Eyes widen in realization, horror and fear?

A small part of him tells him- it's logical. Of course you'd be afraid. He's no longer reduced to a small helpless thing, who relies on others to survive. He should be happy- delighted to have his old body back. Because it means he has his power back.

But why does it feel so wrong now? Why does it have to happen now? Just when he thought he can finally have something- a someone, someone nice- someone kind, to spend time with?

Why is his processor thinking that no. No. He should be small- like last night, where everything is just him- Ratbat and you.

Not Senator Ratbat.

He should someone who is be able to fit in your embrace-

not someone who is too big for your bed.

Before his thoughts can go any further- he hears you mumbling and shifting. His optics darts back at you, slowing opening your eyes, and blinking up at him.

He does not blink back.

And you just mumbled,

"Hey.. ratbat... you got big."

He swore he nearly short cuircuited.

After a few struggles involving a window, a screwdriver, dishwashing soap, and a hammer—Ratbat finally got out of your house.

[Granted, he could have just mass-shifted or transformed to fit in the hole, but watching you come up with ideas and struggle was too good to pass up—along with other reasons, such as not wanting to reveal his abilities yet.]

Now, he sits beside the broken window, legs folded over his chassis. Ratbat looks up, his optics registering that the day has barely started. A tauntful gradient sky stretches above him, a quiet reminder of how much time he still has with you.

Which would be the usual. But considering the circumstances—his unexpected form, the schedule may have changed a little.

From whatever this is, Soundwave's reaction is most unpredictable. Would he slaughter Ratbat right there and then, or turn him back to his cassette form? Even the possibility of keeping him in this state is viable. He knows he doesn't stand a chance against him or his leader, Megatron.

His optics narrow. There's also the likelihood that they intended to turn him back to his root mode. This sort of thing doesn't happen for no reason. Maybe Shockwave has something to do with it. Did they notice him taking more time away from the crew?

"I'm back," you beam, walking into the window view with a towel between your hands. He feels a small, giddy jump at his spark, but he forcefully shoves it down. "You doing okay, Ratbat?"

He only nods, opting not to respond verbally. Many thoughts and questions are storming in his processor, too overwhelming to put into words.

A light, patting touch on his hand earns his already-given attention. He tilts his head to you, the warmest expression on your face—an expression he's never been given by anyone else before.

"Were you ever gonna tell me you can turn into this?" you chuckle, the sound subtly fluttering Ratbat's wings. "You look different. Handsome? Beautiful? Let's say lovely."

His vents turn on from the inside, a gentle hum whirring from the fans. It's not too loud, but it's still an incredibly embarrassing display—he's just glad you don't know too much about Cybertronians.

Ratbat lifts a servo and gently pokes your cheek, bringing out an amused smile from you. His engine purrs at your reaction.

You hold his finger with both hands, slightly turning your head away, feeling the metal texture. "Okay, okay. I guess you'll be going now, then?"

He pauses.

Hmm. No, not yet. Not now.

"I'll stay for a little more," he murmurs, watching your smile widen and how you affectionately rub his giant finger.

Loneliness was never a concept for Beachcomber during his time on earth.

Beauty surrounds him. The first time he saw the stars, the cosmos, and life beyond the battle was the moment he deemed the war meaningless.

It only fills him with deep sadness whenever he thinks of his home planet—destroyed by its own people. Nothing but pointless fighting, extinguishing millions of sparks. So much out there, so much beauty, so much to explore, and yet his fellow Cybertronians fail to see it. The Decepticons fail to see it. Well, maybe they did. Who wouldn't?

His optics gaze far into the distance. Just look at this view. The sun setting, the waves dancing, and the sky painted in a beautiful gradient of unique colors to Cybertron. The sand beneath him is as cheeky as ever, rough yet harmless against his frame.

Truly, he wishes his friends were here to experience it. If only.

A few chirps snap Beachcomber out of his trance. He hums and tilts his head to his feathery companion, who shifts uneasily on his shoulder. "Pardon? Can you say that again, my dear?"

"A human," murmurs the green bird, its tweets and twitches translated by the bot's processor. "Human here!"

Beachcomber is confused, and understandably so. Yet the more he watches his friend, restless, the more his doubt begins to cease. Humans have rarely ventured this far from their civilization, and he has made sure they would never bear the burden of knowing he exists. Put simply, a human wandering around this area sounds impossible.

"By the by," he says with a sigh, "are you pulling my leg? I thought we stopped with the antics—"

The bird shakes its head. "No! No, Beachcomber! Human here!"

A sense of urgency finally washes over the bot, so he stands to his full height, his shadow from the sunset looming and stretching through the sandy ground until—

Beachcomber stares at the human in silence. Form coated by his shadow, their own is not even half the size of his. Their widened eyes, he could tell, were filled with so much fear.

An entirely different species—yet an emotion he is no stranger to, a memory he does not want to keep reliving. Nonetheless, he continues to observe with false composure. The human remains still, frozen in disbelief.

He can feel the fidgeting claws of his small friend. Beachcomber can feel his servos fidgeting.

Truth be told, he has never interacted with a human. His experience is limited to watching them from a distance, unreachable beyond their sight. Now, with one standing before him, he does not know what to do. He does not know how to act.

Despite his time here, to think that silence would be his first impression of the savviest beings to walk this planet.

The human exhales. Just as Beachcomber is about to speak, they beat him to it.

"You're ugly," they blurt out, their lips pressing together in immediate horror at their own words.

Beachcomber pauses. That's a rather odd response to their fear. And, mind you, this is his first radio with a human.

So, he chuckles, fully accepting your words. "And you're beautiful."

Just like that, with the utter gentleness of his voice and his choice of words, he smiles at the human, watching as they begin to loosen up, if only slightly.

Nyx is not sure when exactly she started feeling for you. Maybe it's the way your personalities contrasted so perfectly. Maybe the subtle differences in your beliefs, giving her fresh perspectives. Maybe she just likes your company.

Nevertheless, one thing became clear: you're by her side almost every moment of the day.

Going on patrol? You're paired up together. A mission? If not as a pair, you're specifically assigned to her group. Meeting with the queen? Well, you're there as her assistant. Training? You got it.

During a battle, Nyx was sent flying from an impact—only to land in your arms. You carried her with a gentle yet firm grip as you tried to get her to safety.

Now, this wasn't something new. Nyx had done the same to countless other fairies, but she supposed it was rarely done to her.

The feeling of being protected. She never thought that the receiving end of it would feel so... nice. (or maybe only because it came from you.)

Nyx would return the favor. She saves your butt, and you save hers. Hah... Sometimes, she's not even sure if she's doing it on purpose.

You're very much aware of her tendencies by now—that's what happens when you're stuck together like glue. If some inconvenience happens and you're separated from Nyx, you're not even sure if you're worried for her, or of her.

Whenever you reunite, she never fails to seem frantic, panicked, and almost desperate.

You hesitate how to move forward from whatever point you're on. It just feels like she doesn't want you to leave her side at all.

And if you have a near death experience... Trust. You would never hear the end of it .
