Somewhere out there, there is a universe where Redbull did the obvious thing with the Racesuits...

They designed the suits like the can. I think the original can slays as a suit. A lot of space for sponsers on there.

They have the can as a special suit and every following one is just the different flavours.

I did the original can, the Strawberry-Apricot and the Juneberry flavours. I personally don't drink energy drinks at all but two people have told me that those are the 2 best flavours.

(I don't know if they've ever done it but I haven't seen any pictures and that's a missed opportunity)

Two things pop in my mind about the aftermath of the pregnancy announcement:

George at some point lets it slip that they really boned just this once and suddenly he's swamped with crazy fangirls and dubious salespeople bc that man must have super stuff if it took on in an instant.

Secondly, Zac would be fuming why he hadn't thought himself about weaponizing Lando during the championship fight to potentially get Max out of commission for next season. Bc he's deluded like that and is convinced that Toto set George up to do it to bring glory back to Mercedes. (or even better, Zac DID push Lando to fuck max, they did, the announcement drops, he's happy that his plan worked but then everyone learns George is the dad, queue fuming Zac once again)

Also yeah, max only showing so far as to have plausible deniability feels right. And she would CAPITALIZE on it like, yeah I'm just very bloated lately, you know... the stress of it all, it gets to me sometimes too, I'm not that robot so many people like to portray me as (wink wink nudge nudge)

A proposal

Sometimes, in fandom, we just want to write id-tastic fic that rolls around in tropes that might be viewed as problematic. But we don’t want to address the problematic side of things in this particular fanwork; we just want to roll around and wallow.

It is considered courteous to give readers a heads-up via use of AO3 tags. I propose a tag that signals that a given fanwork is for rolling around, not giving a measured evaluation of anything. The MCU has carved out a space for this sort of fic with the “HYDRA Trash Party” tag, for which I commend them. Trash Party is a bit too specific to cover all of the ground I’m thinking of here, though; I propose “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat.”

For those of you not familiar with Arrested Development, Michael Bluth finds a paper bag in the freezer labeled “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat.” He opens the bag, finds a dead dove, and reacts as follows:

I know that Max (if I'm not mistaken) dropped out of school at 14/15/16 years old, but I can only imagine Max from 2015/2016 sitting around doing homework when a driver comes to talk or argue with Max about something in the race and is like:

I don't think we as a community paid enough attention to the fact that the entire grid became haasbands shippers in 2024. multiple drivers made jokes about how kevin would come hunt them down if they messed with nico. commentators made constant remarks on how kevin put himself in the line of fire for nico. hell, retired drivers commented on their exceptional teamwork. kevin did everything to get nico the best chances and nico was always the first to comment on any good performance from kevin.

throw away any other F1 teammate pairings, this was iconic.
