In reading this module I was eventually sad since there is a lot of thoughts and realizations that come up to my mind. In the mode of learning nowadays during the pandemic is not easy for everyone, for the parents, students, and teacher. There are advantages and disadvantages of flexible learning, we are different on how we can cope up. But, through this flexible learning, the education of everyone continued and trying to be successful to learn. Flexible learning is the best way that we can do during this pandemic, a lot of approaches, strategies, and techniques can be done to make the students feel the learning. There is support and guidance from the teachers, to help the students develop their skills. In this topic, I have learned that this distance of learning makes the educator become computer literate same as in students where they both use technology with a different application to use in teaching and learning, both student and learners are instructing it. Furthermore, flexible learning assists the learners to have freedom on what they will do, how they will do it and when they will do it, and where they can learn. Thus, it improves the learning outcomes as well. Lastly, in flexible learning, we can be competent, inclusive, collaborative with others, develop skills, and better the learning skills of an individual.

Upon reading the information about the indirect approach the first thing that comes to my mind is that the learner is centered, where the teacher will guide the learners in class but they will let them do it on their own. For this reason, the learners will become interactive participate and they will feel comfortable by investigating the things that they needed to do, because an indirect approach is letting the learners acquire the learning outcome without firsthand experience, and it has a student’s self-evaluation. However, as a student, we all know that it is not easy to do things without help from others. I remembered when I was a child I asked for help and guidance from my parents and teachers all the time. Currently, that I am a college student it is inevitable at times that I will also ask for help from my friend/s whenever I have something I do not understand.
Moreover, I realized that in the indirect approach it is more needed to provide the learning needs of the learners to assist them, guide them, and achieve the learning development. Thus, not all the time there will be a guide rather, as a pre-service teacher, we need to imply to the students that they require to learn by themselves. In that way, we can help them to conceptualize, become competent, put more responsibilities and enhance their thinking skills for them to be able to strengthen their abilities.

As a future educator, one of my goals to myself is that I can directly instruction in the activities and assessments smoothly and clearly that the students needed to do but in a way of effective and helping them to understand and apply it in their life very well. I was informed more about the direct approach when we discussed it, that I have learned the importance of knowing how to be an effective teacher in front of the student. It will help them improve their focus to listen, communicate, and speak with the teacher and others because having a direct approach will assist them to be extensive in vocabulary due to the teacher’s presentation in class. Since the learner’s generation now is in the 21st century, the direct approach is implicit and should be better used for the learners properly.
I am beyond thankful for the learning direct approach and I am ready to apply it in my future work and to become a globally competitive educator which there is an organized plan, creative idea, achieving the learning goals, will encourage the learners to participate and listen well in class, and having a direct approach might also develop the values of the learners. Hopefully, this approach will ensure all the teachers to follow and provide in the learners because it has a different impact that can connect, and to build a strong relationship to the learners at the same time.
