-ok so hear me out chances are you two bully eachother a lot but in that endearing kinda way you know?? she always makes sure to never go far and if you ever seem a little hurt by one of her comments she stops immediately and subtly tries to comfort / cheer u up and apologize

-idk how to really explain this but she is genuinely just so confused??? you’re insecure abt urself??? you -her wonderfully creative, intelligent, attractive S/O- are insecure???

-going off the idea that you never told them, they prolly find out pretty quickly. habit is a pretty affectionate guy so he finds out by accident. went to hold ur hand or put a hand on ur shoulder, once he notices ur reaction he gets a lil worried and confused and asks if ur ok bc?? ?? you turned red ??? hi????

-if you brush it off and say it’s nothing he gets worried still and tries to be more mindful and keeps his hands to himself for the most part but that’s kinda. depressing SO you’ll probably cave in and tell him either when he first notices ur reaction or eventually

-it takes him a minute or two but he just giggles a little bit and quickly reassures that he’s not laughing at you but!! you coulda just told him that silly!! he always gives you a bunch of affection from then on bc a he doesn’t want u to feel starved and b he likes ur reaction (he’s rude and evil now >:3 /j)

-kamal on the other hand?? he’s kinda the same way, he’s just a little less aware of it??like?? he’s always been so nervous at the idea of affection so he just. kinda didn’t ever rlly get a chance to indulge in it so its just. not something on the forefront of his mind.

-needless to say you are both messes the first time that you two hold hands 

-boris is very concerned that you both got sick /hj

-they both are totally fine with the fact that ur touch staved and honestly !! they probably both are a little touch starved as well to varying degrees so it works out

And I do have a lil request-thing because I always see everyone write self inserts as a LOT shorter than Habit...but I'm 5'8 and a bit (almost 5'9 or something like that I think), so I don't exactly relate to being incredibly short. I know I'm not incredibly tall either, but a little taller than average...so I'd just love to see Habit with an s/o who isn't short-

They’re shorter than him, but not that short:

-this is the most likely experience

-he’s used to being taller than other people so it’s not something that he pays a super huge amount of attention too

-which. has mixed consequences. he sometimes forgets you can’t reach things as high up as he can so he accidentally places things a little too high for you

-as SOON as he notices you struggling and puts two and two together he apologizes repeatedly, genuinely u’ve never seen someone of his stature just get down on their knees and beg for forgiveness before /j (he doesn’t actually go THAT far but he still apologizes a lot and feels bad abt cus!! you were struggling!! and you could’ve gotten hurt if you tried to climb up to get it!! what if you fell!! what if the thing you were reaching for fell on  you!! wha- you get the point)

-his coat is still big on you though so feel free to snatch that shit like a blanket he doesn’t mind!! he thinks its cute actually :]

They’re the same height as him:

-he was rlly surprised!! he’s never rlly met someone that was the same height as him so he’s not used to it!!

-if you two just happened to run into each other at some point and that’s how you met he tries to play it off but you can see that he’s a lil surprised but he!! doesn’t wanna sound weird or rude!!! he’s RESPECTFUL and KIND!!

-kamal stares at you both from afar wordlessly and wonders why god has put him on a path of being around tall people /j

-there’s no height struggle so you guys dont have to worry abt putting things too high for one another which!! is nice!!

-also maybe you two swap each others clothes occasionally just for funsies if they fit you both, he probably won’t rlly admit it on his own but he rlly likes wearing ur clothes if he can bc they remind him of you and it makes him feel safe an happy

-ok but you guys just happen to run into each other when he’s out with kamal to pick up supplies or sumthin and ur apologizing and making small talk while kamal stares up at you. he thought he already met someone tall when it came to habit but now that he’s seen you. whadda hell. do you enjoy tormenting him???? /J

-anyway he probably doesn’t even totally realize just how tall you are because in his mind he doesn’t rlly register himself as that tall?? he feels average height in his head you know?? but he notices it whenever you have to crouch down through doorways and he just kinda ‘huh’

-you know the like ‘excuse me he asked for NO pickel’ thing??? thats you two probably maybe

-if ur clothes are big on him he !!! goes bonkers goes insane !! clothes are usually too small for him or something so this is so new to him!! he probably gets into the habit (haha) of wanting to take ur jackets / coats / sweaters / whatever but he feels bad so he always asks you. he’s a little anxious about it but whenever you say yes he ‘:-D!!’

-honestly??? he gets scared pretty easily too so he gets how u feel,,,

-he always makes sure that u guys stay away from too much horror, even around halloween he like. double checks a lot with u if u ever mention wanting to see a horror

-if u startle easily as a part of getting scared easy then dw!!! his footsteps are pretty noticeable and even then he always makes sure that ur aware of him in a way that won’t catch u off guard too much

-if u ever DO get scared he does his best to calm you down the best way he can,,,most times that involves him talking softer and gently grabbing ur hands while he reassures u that ur ok and asks if there’s anything that he can do for you

-at first he isn’t quite sure what to do but he tries his best to help you out the bet that he possibly can

-he cares abt u a whole lot and seeing you upset messes with him

-he’ll comfort you in whatever way that you need, if there’s anything you want ur getting it no questions asked and as soon as possible

-he rlly truly cares about you so, so very much and he wants to make sure that you feel better as soon as possible

-if you need some sort of distraction he’ll happily do that, trying to get you out if you want/are able to 

-if you arent thats fine too!! he’ll find some other way to distract you from it all

-overall he just wants to make you happy, even if it takes a lot of time and effort

-however, he is fine with just holding you close and rubbing your back with some reassuring words if that’s what you need

-saying this right out of the gate he feels u completely. he knows EXACTLY how it feels to be stressed. which!! means chances are he knows some method that’ll help u out, even if just a little!!

-depending on what caused u to get stressed/what helps u the most/how u experience stress he helps u in diff ways

-if its a more anxious kind of stress he does his best to calm u down by talking in a softer tone. he gently holds ur hands in his and rubs his thumbs over them, asking softly if u want anything and if ur ok!! if u like physical affection -despite how nervous he gets when it comes to it- he’ll give u as much as he can!! he likes to hold u close while he leans back, ur head resting on his chest while one of his hands rests on ur side or ur back, the other holding onto one of urs 

-if its a ‘im going to fucking strangle someone’ kind of stress he tries to be careful but still does his best to calm u down. something happened at work and u wanna rant abt it?? broo ur going to end up with ur head on his lap as you rant about anything thats been stressing you out, he gently plays with your hair and makes little comments here and there, matching ur energy like; ‘wh- what a dick!’ or sumn bro he is getting angy with u but like in a therapeutic kind of way

-any which way!! he does his best to help u calm down in any way that works for u!!!

-also u aare GOING to end up with ur fav drink or snack thats just a fact of life u dont even have to ask it just happens
