THERE IS. a website. that takes 3D models with seams and pulls it apart to make a plushie pattern and informs you where things need to be edited or darts added for the best effect. and then it lets you scale it and print off your pattern. and I want to lose my MIND because I've lost steam halfway through so many plushie patterns in the mind numbing in betweens of unwrapping, copying all of the meshes down as pieces, transferring those, testing them, then finding obvious tweaks... like... this would eradicate 99% of my trial and error workflow for 3D models to plushies & MAYBE ILL FINALLY FINISH SCREAMTAIL...

Oh I just realized I never got around to posting this video a fellow cosplayer took of me at Fanimecon, I really love how it shows off how my arms move that static pictures don't fully capture! While this costume isn't technically finished yet, it was so much fun to wear this to the Soulsborne gathering and I can't wait to finish all the things I want to! (Most namely doing the underside of the hat the proper snowflake texture :3cccc )

Maybe I'm currently a puddle of miserable goo (heatwave and migraine is the worst combo), but I'm a very determined puddle of goo with a knife and a Dremel. So - another carved landscape in resin, continue learning. Damned bubbles are, well, damned, but I loooove doing these things

I turned my mobility scooter into a Pirate Ship. It features over 1000 LED lights. 8 firing cannons with smoke, lights, and sound. A talking score on the back with the Disney and Pirates of the Caribbean ride soundtrack. Plus more.

Here’s further awesome proof that cosplay is for everyone! Brazilian cosplayer Solange, aka Tia sol (“Aunty Sun”) has won the heart of the internet with her wonderfully accurate homemade costumes and convention appearances around her home city of Manaus, Brazil.

“A friend said that I wouldn’t have the guts,” Solange told BuzzFeed News. “I chose a character and had the costume made without saying another word.”

“I don’t miss a single event in my city. I’d really like to visit other ones, but have you seen the price of the fares?”

“I never thought that I would be well received among the young people, I’ve made a lot of friends during all of this.” Cosplay conventions have become a sort of a haven for Solange: “I can launch myself into the world of make-believe, where anything goes.” Her next event is coming up in December. “I’m finishing up the painting on my new cosplay, Granny Juju from Jorel’s Brother.”

In anticipation of receiving my Mc-chan plushies, I made a small blanket and pillow with spare fabric, ribbon, and cricut iron-on vinyl I had.

Now that they're here, they can use it!

Do not seperate them.

Here comes a special boy!

As a little preview for my next Twisted Wonderland cosplay, here's a look at one of my props: a teeny tiny Azul!

I've had this little octopus plush in my room for a while now, and so after getting into twst, I thought it'd be fun to dress him up like Azul.

The hat's a 3" doll hat I bought from Joann Fabrics, and most of it is just ribbon and 3D printed items.

You can find the print for the shell here. It's painted with nail polish, as following a suggestion from a friend to get it more pearlescent.

And the glasses design is from here. Heads up, when printing these glasses so tiny, the joints don't really like to line up, so they're mostly attached by glue.

I wanted to make a gift for a friend, amd since they're a big fan of the Tweels, I realized I could pretty easily replicate the Octavinelle dorm uniform scarf.

On the right is my first attempt, and on the left is take two, which I ended up being much happier with the results. For the first one, since I wasn't quite able to match the yarn color to the actual color, I tried dyeing it with some purple. But in that process, it ended up getting very warped, so I decided to start over.

The yarn is acrylic and the emblem is added on with Cricut iron on!

Youmacon update:

I wanted to let everyone know that I don't think I'll be posting pictures of the cosplays I'm wearing in the near future. I do have plans to eventually, however right now it's a little rough for me to do so. I've been having very poor body image lately, and it's hard to look at a picture I've taken of myself and feel like the cosplay I've worked on has been ruined by... Me. Just by wearing it and looking off from how I always see myself in my head.

I've been getting nothing but kind comments so far at the con, however, I can't help thinking poorly my body type suits my cosplays, especially when one cosplay I've been wearing is Jade Leech, and I'm reminded of it anytime I take a picture with someone cosplaying Floyd Leech.

So it's just been hard to look at myself lately.

I know most people find my posts through tags, but I figured I'd give any update in the off chance someone was curious. I do want to thank everyone who's given a kind comment and would also like to apologize for the fuss. I hope that you might be looking forward to my next cosplay post.

Youmacon is almost upon! Since I'm still doing last minute packing and con crunch, I haven't been able to take pictures of my cosplays (I'll do that at the con), but I wanted to announce my line up:
