Shout out to mentally ill people who dropped out of school
- shout out to the kids who wereĀ āso brightā andĀ āheading somewhereā and had to drop out because school was too much to handle along with mental illness
- shout out to the kids who struggled to get where they got before they dropped out
- shout out to the kids who tried and tried and tried and still couldnāt finish
you arenāt unintelligent because you dropped out of school, you arenāt a delinquent or a bad person because you dropped out of school, just because you did what you had to doesnāt make you a bad person

Robins trying to emulate Batman's posture: cute, adorable, sometimes a little scary depending on the circumstance
grown up ex-Robins trying to emulate Batman's posture: scary, but everyone knows who they're trying to be
Batkids out of the suit, in civilian clothes, suddenly standing/looking a little too much like Bruce: terrifying

people still made fart jokes 1,000 years ago. they still got fits of giggles so hard they couldnāt breathe. they still did graffiti and they still loved their pets and they still did playful impressions of people they didnāt like behind their back. they liked to lay around just like you. they thought sunsets were pretty just like you. they liked music and stories just like you. they ate street food. they made up silly dances and slang words. they went swimming for fun and picked up cool seashells. their kids still drew clumsy stick figure self portraits as toddlers and still raised hell in their teens, and their parents always felt like the new generation was lazier and ruder than the one before. they liked looking cute and wearing colors and doing each otherās hair. they liked scaring each other in the dark. they still cried for their mothers when they were afraid. they still fought with their siblings and stood up for them against others. they took care of their sick and injured, even if it put them at risk of getting sick themselves. they listened to old people tell boring stories. they still hugged each other for a long time and listened to each otherās heartbeats. they still thought up love poems and compared each otherās smiles to the sun. they still kissed the ones they loved. we were there.

Making an absolute fool of myself at work because thereās a dude here to install a new phone system and Iām trying to set up a new bed in a box display model by myself.
The bed is compressed into a tube and Iām trying to wrangle it around to where I can actually cut it open. This is difficult because the full weight of the bed has been compressed into a tube roughly the size of my torso and Iām not exactly fit.
The man pretends heās not watching. I know he is but I pretend too.
I start getting the scissors into the plastic and the bed starts gasping for air and puffing up at an alarming rate. It begins bursting out of its placental plastic wrapping too fast and I realize I have to turn it for it to be right way down.
The man is fully watching. Subtlety has been abandoned.
I start flopping the half full bed around and it gives a final gasp and sheds the plastic cocoon. Itās now a floppy newborn mattress which I unfairly demand stand under its own power while I pull the plastic out from under it.
The man clearly wants to help but is stymied by my dogged perseverance.
I get the plastic pulled away and have the newborn bed towering over me but facing the wrong way. The bottom is grippy so if I lay it on the boxspring they will cling together like star crossed lovers, so I begin trying to rotate it without letting it fall. It gives up on this plan and collapses backward onto the desk and one of the chairs.
The man is no longer able to ignore my absolute inability to wrangle this bed and jumps up to help.
āIt ate a chair,ā I inform him. We get the chair free. He is not actually as much help as I assumed heād be, gently nudging the recalcitrant infant without managing to move it at all. I tug and shove the wayward bed into position and tell the man not to buy a bed in a box.
He tells me itās too late and he hates it and I offer my condolences as we watch the bed slowly puff and stiffen in the showroom floor air.
