ignoring the fact i haven’t been very active as of late here, i want to explain my absence. first and foremost i’m always here in some form, even if i am not posting. i’ve been in this particular fandom before and i saw a few posts over the last few days from people that reminds me why i tend to keep to myself. so i bet you’re curious what was said. the one that got me to say something said; me trying to ignore the clique™ posts on my dash. it wasn’t hard to deduce who they were referencing when they made that particular indirect but equally rude comment. a clique by definition is a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them. that is a clique. no one has the right to call something someone else is doing clique behavior unless they’re actively and rudely shunning you. from what i’ve seen, the group in question was fairly open to anyone doing as they pleased in the situation and you had just as much opportunity to join in on their ‘clique posts’. others had. i did, and they never once tried to shut me down or ignore me for it.  now you’re wondering: carlie why? because it’s an issue. it’s an issue in the spn fandom and others. i’m part of quite a few. let me break this down for the people in the back: just because someone talks to their friends for a few days only doesn’t make them a clique. accusing people of clique behavior is hurtful, even if you meant to hurt feelings or not. roleplayers have anxiety, don’t feel comfortable everyday with new people, and generally follow their muses cues. if that means they don’t interact with you for the day, that’s okay. there’s no need to be childish about it. there is absolutely nothing wrong with someone doing what they enjoy. you don’t have the right to make indirect/direct rude posts about them. it’s okay to ignore people for a day or two. it doesn’t make you a bad person. so why did you bring it up this way carlie? because as you referenced it, you included me into your ‘clique’ bracket. i can say it actually hurt my feelings to see. as a community, we need to stop being so harsh when we aren’t apart of something. it’s really childish. we’re better than this. i hope you at least learned something from what i’ve said, and maybe, next time you’ll be more understanding of your fellow roleplayers.
