Playing animal crossing is my favourite thing to do besides taking care of my beautiful baby girl Evelynn who was born 7th April 2019. Feel free to add me via my friend code and leave me a message with yours so we can become ACNL friends. See you soon.
Okay so my life has taken a complete turn and unfortunately it’s further away from my Nintendo switch but it’s for the better of me and my girls hopefully my little business venture will help me get my Nintendo switch 🙌🏻
I’m so sad right now, had to cancel my limited edition preorder last week due to being pregnant and having to self isolate for 12 weeks meaning money is going to be really tight for us, with Evie’s 1st birthday just over 2 weeks away. Decided to make a sacrifice for my family! Hopefully I can muster up the funds to get a switch and the game soon!
my new horizons island generator is finally complete 🍃🍎🦝🐶🏝️
it can be accessed via the link above or on my blog!! no credit is needed to use any names or ideas that come out of this generator, but i’d appreciate you giving this post a reblog 💖
Someone cleaned up the tile map from the trailer and added a grid overlay so that you can more clearly see how much space you’ll get to work with on your island (source).
The second picture shows how much bigger your island is compared to the towns in New Leaf (source).
In the comments of the first post OP included a download to the GIMP file for the image so, if you want, you can start planning out your town like this person.
Hello! My name is Bum and I’m looking for friends who play Animal Crossing New Leaf! So if anyone wants to visit towns you should definitely add me as a friend :)
Friend code: 0619-7097-8225
All I’m saying is if it’s winter time and the villagers don’t change into winter clothes or shiver when they are underdressed and ask me for some coats or jackets And then proceed to invite me to their homes for a cup of hot cocoa and then turn on a heater or fireplace and then tell me how much they love me and value my friendship then idk what to tell you.
What’s in a map?
Since we have more control than ever when it comes to landscaping, what could be important to consider in choosing your island map?
The 4 shown in the Feb 2020 Direct all had a few things in common that I think may be features we cannot edit in the future.
1) The grey rocks.
All maps have these focused on the northern point of the map, with others scattered elsewhere. Furniture can be placed on these rocks, but we haven’t been shown any confirmation that this terrain can be changed and so they may be around forever.
2) Starting points of running water.
We were shown a water tool in the Direct for creating rivers and waterfalls, but we may not be able to move or change primary sources of river water on our islands. So these large ponds may be permanent or there may be restrictions on how we can edit them.
3) Nook Inc. HQ and Dodo Airlines Port
Whilst we were shown the ability to move houses and shops, I don’t believe there was confirmation of being able to move either of these to a new location, so keep them in mind just in case!
4) Wooden dock/Pier
Since it’s use is currently unknown, we should anticipate that it can’t be moved. Of the 4 maps shown in the Direct the pier appeared only on the left or right-hand side of the island.
5) River Mouth
Where the river meets the sea is likely something we either cannot remove, or it may be with limitations. All river mouths shown featured small grey rocks either side of its opening which lends to my previous thoughts on those. I also think flowing/river water will need to connect from a primary source and into this mouth (or at the very least into a pond/lake you have made)
6) Grass/Ground on the beach
Each map featured a piece of grassland that encroached on to the beach on either it’s left or right side. We’ve only seen a tool for grass terrain so we may not be able to turn this into beach terrain.
All these are simply my observations!
But if we don’t get any further info from Nintendo, then I hope they help you on release day
