The wizard's wizzened hands close around the coffee mug in irritation. Someone had taped a poorly made construction paper arrow with a heart impaled on the tip on his doorway. It had been irritating him the entire morning.

Grousing to himself, Yen shuffled into the livingroom, slamming the door shut and allowing the paper reminder of the holiday to flutter off into the breeze. It was bad enough that they were sending salespeople to his mountain-y doorstep, but now /tokens of affection/? It was simply more than one man could bear.

Shuffling agressively towards his desk, he set the 'WORLDS GROUCHIEST WIZARD' mug down with a porcelain thump next to a large map, and pulled a book off his shelf with a grunt. "I'm going to put a stop to this, even if I have to-" There was an interruptive 'coo' as Bort the pidgeon fumbled off his perch onto the bookshelf, landing in Yen's cup. Yen yelped aloud, his hands raised, and an inadvertant but loud puff of magic exploded outwards--

When he woke up from his daze, hours later, the room was coated in a thin paint of pink and glittering hearts. He squinted, glanced to his map of the Disney Universe, and groaned. "Not again."

It looks like things may have been mixed up once again (he REALLY may need a caretaker or something...) -- Er, why don't you pop on over to disneyroleplay and make sure everything's okay? Yen squinted after Bert curiously, and sighed loudly, "You're an idiot..t...t."

He scowled as he spoke the word and found himself tongue-tied, fumbling with the glass he held and putting it down firmly. The specter of the New Year loomed heavily on the old wizard's shoulders. 

He turned to face Bert, and with little warning, stumbled over the hem of his robes--

Just at face height, smashing against poor Bert's lips and nose in a tangle of unrelenting, awful horrifyingness.

/Nowhere to run./ Prince Hans had already run out of rocks and cliffs to scrabble over as arrows from the bounty hunters clattered behind him. The only choice aside from waiting at the last ledge to be killed, had been to leap into the sea. While he was an excellent swimmer, the water around him were being pierced by arrows, one of them cutting deep across his shoulder. "Nghh... S-Somebody please help..." Hans murmured to the waves. He didn't bother shouting -- he knew no one could hear him.

Yen sat up and squinted suspiciously out at the horizon. The part of his beard that indicated trouble was tingling!

Unfortunately, that was all of it and it was quite uncomfortable.

With quick thinking, Yen groused and snapped his fingers to remedy the issue!His hands passing over an old watch, familiar in design, he murmured something low and strange-- A sound mirroring the passing of tides, the anchoring of ships, and songs from ethereal voices long lost beneath the waves...

A haze seemed to settle over Yen's thoughts, and he frowned--And in moments, he couldn't remember the trouble at all.

Hans has been turned into a Merperson for a period of three in-character days!

A sparkle lit in his eyes as Yen chuckled, rummaging through the drawer behind him,

"That I do! And I've seen it. I myself have had a couple, well, let's call them lapses but I'm better than eve-"

Yen stood shock-straight and bliked, as if coming to a terrible realization. He frowned heavily and glanced to Hans, a brow raised, "Well. Not ever. But better, and I'm hoping it sticks."

Rather than let a long pause fill the air, he produced a pen and waved a hand,

"The study ought to do it, lad. Fret not about whom, I assure you they're in good standings. Many a king would speak well of the old goat, even if id is an old goat..."

Yen gave pause, then cleared his throat, "Well- This is... True." He murmured, haltingly,

"Merlin did mention-- Ah, no, best not to muddle the thinking. Er." He glanced to Miryam, now sheepush, and folded ihis hands into his robes,

"Perhaps," He mused, "You ought to save it for the children. Heaven knows theyr're full of fancy as it is. A little more could make them more agreeable."

He removed one hand to scratch at his beard, "Or not! You know them better than I do. I haven't had to deal with that sort of thing in-" There was a brief flurry of fingers counting, then a blink, "Heavens, I don't even know how long."

Yen considers this, then flings magic willy-nilly, because responsibility is clearly for other people.

Turning to Miryam, he sniffed, and waved a single finger in the air,

"First lesson! A little melodrama can go quite a long way with the right audience. Make them believe you are the answer, and they'll come to you for them. Just-- Don't overdo it." He raised a brow, but couldn't hide his smile,

"Otherwise you'll have people clamoring all over you."
