hello dear ruary snowywinterday, i have many thoguhts and the biggest one is ‘that was so fucking funny i love jumperwho’

now, if you would put on your character analysis tinfoil hat with me…

this reminds me a little of the abyss arc double-agenting, and only partly because i view everything through s5 tinted glasses. based on last + this season, jumper seems to prefer/enjoy this style of working behind the scenes, and the picture of her that is forming in my mind is someone who can be very ambitious (to me, the derapchu show project also counts as proof of this LOL), yet does not really want to get too entangled in conflicts or have a target on her back (the s5 contracted hit on gucci gang and her general indifference towards the manepear spawn conflict come to mind). so, she adopts slightly roundabout methods with a little deception sprinkled in to fulfill her goals. is this a lot to get out of one (1) truman show bit? maybe. am i going a little insane? also maybe!

also also also i’m thinking about jumper’s similarities to her minecraft wife squiddo, who is also simultaneously just a silly chungus and a scheming schemer who schemes. both of them still come across as so unassuming to me, even if i should know better by now… when jumper first proposed that derap stream for like ten million hours across a very specific time frame, i thought it was weird, sure, but i was like, what’s the worst she could do? try to jump him? likewise, while there’s no way that focus wasn’t up to something at some point, i didn’t suspect anything for a long time because c’mon, it’s focus. silly squad. even their secret bfb alliance during the big fight was a huge surprise to me.

ok and so now there’s a crackfic writing itself in my head where squidjump get married, but everyone involved has ulterior motives. both of them think they’re conning the other, ‘if i’m a spy and you’re a spy who’s flying the plane’ style. scammer x scammer. i think this got away from me a little.
