You know what’s something sad no one ever talks about? The pain Leorio faced during the Election Chairman Arc

 [spoilers ahead for those not done with the anime]

I’m not say he faced more pain and suffering than Gon and Killua because as we know the Chimera Ant Arc literally almost killed them both and gave them new forms of trauma. 

But in this final arc Leorio suffers so much more than we realize. This is a man who as a child lost his best friend. He grew up with the burden of money from a young age then had to witness his friend die right in front of him. Though he tries to repress it, it’s clear that is was super hard for him as he was barely able to tell Kurapika during the exam why he actually wanted to be a doctor. He would have rather wanted Kurapika to make him out as a money obsessed dick then a thoughtful guy who wants to bring change within the system of capitalism to avoid speaking about his trauma. 

So now fast forward to this arc. Here he is, just chilling, working towards his dream then gets word Gon is in the hospital. Gon is about to die. Leorio is about to lose another friend all over again. Killua is about to experience what Leorio did at a young age. It’s happening again, the world is failing him and taking away someone from him. Someone he cares about. Someone who believes in him and he believes in. 

And all he can do is blame himself. “Things would have been different had I, the adult, been present” is probably something he thought throughout this. Leorio had to grow up quickly in all aspect of his life (mentally as he grieved, had to study, had to survive, etc-I read this whole amazing analysis on Leorio being forced to grow up hence his look and stuff I will try to find it if someone wants it) and desperately wants to be the savior. He wants his redemption. In his mind, he was about to lose another friend. “Why was it not me” and “why am I still here” and “why do I end up alone” was probably more thought he faced. He was so wrapped up in this pain, he literally was okay with running for office and taking over an entire association if it meant Gon, his friend, could live. He was willing to destroy the entire reputation and professionalism of the Hunter Association to save his friend. Hell, he probably would have offered his own life he felt so much responsibility not only for what happened to Gon but for saving Gon. 

Luckily, we know Gon comes back and Leorio is overjoyed. But still, that is so much pain and trauma for anyone let alone a 19 year old college student to face!! His character is so much deeper than we all see and I wish we talked more about his pain as we do the pain of the other main 4.

APPARENTLY I CAN STILL DISCOVER NEW THINGS IN HXH TO GET FUCKED UP ABOUT

so in hxh discord we’re talking about gon and killua’s respective self-worth issues (which i still need to make a meta post about)

and i was looking back at my screencaps from the illumi vs killua fight

and i was like “huh that sounds suspiciously similar to a certain other scene.”

which is obviously a similar concept in english, but not quite the same, but i wondered if it was the same wording in japanese

i went back and checked the scenes and it was.

Thanks for the ask, it made me laugh just picturing them!

Phinks:

Very ticklish, especially around the waist.

It’s a bit dangerous because he’d have a hard time controlling his movements but it’s totally worth it.

He’s adorable when he giggles.

Once you’ve discover his weak spot, Phinks would be on his toes around you, always scared that you were going for it.

It’s be pretty fun to act all natural and play innocent just to watch him jump in anticipation.

But it means you’d need to ambush him to really get him.

Like when you cuddle for example.

At first he would try to not move so he wouldn’t hurt you by accident, just yelling at you between fits of giggles, trying to use his big voice to make you stop.

Not very convincing with tears rolling down his cheeks.

But then he’d retaliate and... yeah he’d get the appeal of tickling.

Barely catching your breath and laughing while pleading for a break under him would be the cutest scene.

he might become a tickle monster after that.

Feitan:

Not ticklish at all but loves to see you try and pout when you’ve fail.

Feitan would show you the most sensitive spots of the human body to encourage you.

But so you know, every attempt would be met with a counter attack.

And it will always end up as you being the one laughing in tears and begging him to stop.

He kinda likes this game.

However, it’s Feitan we’re talking about so he will absolutely use the tickle in bed.

When you’re all tied up that’s the moment he’d show you his new accessories.

Feathers and soft fur would be his new toys for hours of fun!

He’d usually be pretty straight face during your playtime but he wouldn’t be immune to your contagious laughter.

Shalnark:

Not ticklish either.

Still he would act like he was just for fun, he just loves goofy moments with you.

Shalnark can fake laughter very well but honestly he would genuinely find your air of triumph – as you believe he’s at your mercy – hilarious so it would come naturally.

When you’re playing video games against each other and he’s stomping you it’d be too tempting to not try to distract him.

He’d play along and let you do it, scolding you for being a sore loser.

But he’d do exactly the same when you’re the one winning.

The game would soon be forgotten and the tickle battle would turn into a heavy make out session.

Phantom Troupe Shenanigans

including Machi, Feitan being a little ass, Phinks having anger issues and Shalnark being a fucking twink.

It was getting pretty late, around 2 AM, but the boys were still playing call of duty on Phinks' PS4. They’ve been playing since 8 PM, and Machi didn’t understand why they were hyping the game so much.

Machi was getting pretty angry at this point, with the shouting and yelling of the boys next door to her bedroom.

"GOD DAMMIT FEI, I SAID DON'T FUCKING SHOOT ME." Phinks screamed, before a crash and then a snicker from Feitan was heard.

Machi peaked her head in through the doorway and sighed disappointingly when she saw the skateboard that Phinks had chucked at Feitan, lodged into the wall.

“Oh my god, what are you guys doing?" she asked, and the boys looked at her with shock and embarrassment as she witnessed the sight before her.

There was candy wrappers coating the floor that she could only see from the TV that poorly lit the room. There was a spilled bag of takis by the beanbag closest to the PS4.

Chrollo spoke hesitantly, "I really didn't mean for it to get this messy in here, we’ll clean it up, promise. Sorry Mach."

Chrollo lied over top of some of the wrappers on his stomach, with his legs crossed in the air.

Feitan laid on the messy bed upside down, somehow managing fine playing the game upside down.

Phinks was sitting criss-cross directly in front of the screen and Shalnark was sitting comfortably in the grey bean bag, with one of his legs propped up on the desk the TV was sitting on.

All of their hair was a mess, especially Feitans, but they all ignored that.

Feitan laughed at the statement Chrollo had previously made, “Why are you apologizing to her? You're boss," he snickered.

Phinks kicked some of the candy and monster cans to the side of the room, and tossed a controller to Machi as Chrollo and Feitan discussed respect towards women, Fei clearly annoyed.

She held the controller, confused, and glanced at Phinks with a questioning face.

"I'm not playing with you guys." She said teasingly, and Shalnark jumped from the beanbag and grabbed her hands while pleadingly.

“Pleeeease Mach, they're so mean to me!" He begged as he pointed to the three other men, and they looked at him shockingly. It was followed by a bunch of screaming, like "YOU WERE THE ONE FUCKING SHOOTING US!!" (phinks) and "YOU FUCKING PUSSY BITCH!!" (feitan), Chrollo just lied there disappointingly.

She got comfortable on the messy floor next to Phinks, and the men stared at her shockingly, before all looking at each other and smiling.

Chrollo was happy for them. He's happy for what he created, and proud. He felt responsible for the bonds that we created in this group of people who never could be accepted by society.

anyway this had absolutely no plot and was just a small drabble from an art idea i had but can’t fucking draw because i’m stupid. enjoy :)
