why did I get a comment asking if helkaros is canonically gay for lloyd in the manhwa,,

skimmed through season 3 of the manhwa cause I got a tiktok comment asking where it lines up with the novel and what the fck do you mean instead of ending spoiler 5 (lloyd gets killed by hell's knight), we get lloyd confessing to javier about how one of them has to die for the restoration of fate to stop and javier immediately kills himself and disappears in front of him?? HELLO??

ohh i didn't know the manhwa is so different from the novel. i only started the novel but doesn't javier call suho lloyd, master lloyd? or do you mean when javier find out he is a different lloyd he doesn't call him lloyd anymore?

it's the latter, after javier realizes he's suho and not the original lloyd, he tends to call him suho when they're alone until the centaur arc when javier decides yeah he's worthy of being called master lloyd again-

To help anon too with the differences in the manhwa I think Suho's friend shows up a lot, also the Frontera parents had an inkling about how Lloyd isn't their Lloyd, only when Lloyd used the Jewel of Truth and from the letter while in the manhwa the parets confronted Javier. Also, in the manhwa Javier kept using Suho for Lloyd while in the novel he uses Lloyd even if he found out he is Suho, the angels and king of hell aren't old men in the novel.

just to note, beef guy (I know he has a name but I'm blanking on it) is another manhwa-only character; novel suho was very much alone,,

and yeah, another major difference is that secrets are very lightly kept in the manhwa tbh... like you said, javier basically never calls suho lloyd in the novel, and that's because he willingly goes with lloyd's keeping his identity a secret even though he knows the truth-

really, a large part of the novel was them playing a tense game of cat and mouse with lloyd's identity- whereas in the manhwa, it was revealed just. so easily and he's practically just suho for the rest of time now.. zero suspense.

what're the differences between tged novel and manhwa?

buddy that's a rabbit hole that you do not want to fall into because it will probably ruin your perception of the manhwa when you realize just how badly they twisted the novel-

... but if I had to sum it up (feel free to ask me to elaborate on any of these points because I will rant about this topic for days):

lloyd and javier's characters have been warped into ugly evil money-hungry landlord and his corrupted henchman-

a lot of arcs go very differently in the manhwa, such as the bone dragon arc, hell train arc (og!lloyd...), heart of winter arc, etc. the farming demons are completely manhwa-only in particular.

alilloyd keeps getting added into plot points they were not in before, which then ruins the moments lloyd and javier originally had in the novel,,

there's probably more that I'm missing but I'm writing this after I just woke up so my brain is not fully online yet (also I haven't read tged in a good while after I dropped the manhwa tbh)-

yeah no I give up. no more tged webtoon reviews from me. I know that they've been changing the plot beyond all recognition for ages but now they've fully gone into original content and I can't stand it anymore. I quit.

remember those comics where nali and I were at war and then nali died? yeah I'm digging my own grave and lying in it. I'm still gonna read the webtoon out of morbid curiosity though so I'm not dead I'm just. in there.
