The Black Panther has been the protector of Wakanda for generations. A mantle passed from warrior to warrior. And now because your friend murdered my father, I also wear the mantle of king. So now I ask, as both warrior and king, how long do you think you can keep your friend safe from me?

i really, really hate the fact that emily vancamp has gotten so much shit bc of civil war. she speaks about sharon with so much love, and truly wants to make sure the fans get the true sharon carter they deserve, she’s done her research, she’s so excited to play the character and yet she gets hardly any screentime.
i really, really hate the fact that emily vancamp has literally answered some critical staron questions so politely and with so much grace in interviews, and yet chris gets to say stuff like ‘it’s icky’ and show boredom within staron questions. What’s more, is that he even has the decency to hint that it would be cool for a natasha/steve romance - even though it was only last year that he laughed at the slut shaming of her character.
sexism at its finest.

“family, stability…guy who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. i think someone else came out”
tiny comic about bucky’s insecurities. as he recovers, bucky’s upset he can’t revert to exactly who he was before hydra. sometimes, seeing how he used to be with steve in the 40s unnerves him. he feels like he can’t be steve’s best friend again. steve realizes this and, fortunately, knows how to comfort him. he understands the feeling. completely inspired by @ladypeg!

Lets be real here, the reason this “T’Challa/Bucky is abusive” line of thinking has cropped up is because the world can not bring itself to see a black man as anything more than morally suspect. Steve fights Bucky and we understand, even before Steve knows the Winter Soldier is his friend. Steve is trying to save people, he’s making the tough choice. Steve and Tony kick each other’s asses, and we understand. They are one opposing sides of a complex issue and each one is willing to sacrifice the other for what they think is right. But T’Challa, who we see in the trailer weeping and covered in dust, who has obviously just survived a major trauma? His reasons aren’t good enough. His morality is suspect, his actions are viewed as the powerful pushing the powerless. As as if Bucky isn’t an ex assassin who nearly killed three of world’s best. Infantilizing Bucky for his trauma( which is gross btw) allows people to villainize T’Challa( and completely ignores the fact that, while we don’t know the details, we see enough in the trailer to know he goes through some shit.) T’Challa, we see in the preview, seems to have as much moral high ground as anyone, but fandom can’t bring itself to view a black man as equal to the white characters. When Steve and Tony stand up for people they are heroes, when Black Panther does it, he’s an antagonist. And that’s bullshit.
