This was the og snakey Lucifer I drew for the Adopting the Devil AU! Some fun design details:

The translucent shawl = shedded skin

The corset = contracting/flexible stomach (i forgot to draw it but it's supposed to have a scaley texture!)

Apple slices = symbolic wings

Snake tattoo = this one's a little obvious lol, but it specifically glows when he's about to transform!

I'm not sure if/when Luci's humanoid form would make an appearance in the Adopting the Devil story but it was very fun to draw 🍎 🐍

Quick Adopting the Devil AU doodles-- Alastor thinks Lucifer's being clingy to be annoying but Lucifer sees it as consequences for not paying the heat bill (plus his hair is super fluffy). More info about this AU in my last post!

Adopting the Devil AU 🍎 🐍

This has been living in my head rent-free & I had to write it down somewhere!

Alastor the up-and-coming radiohost stumbles across Charlie's animal rehab/therapy petshop while hunting for effective pest control bc his stupid landlord Vox won't handle the rat problem. Distracted by an out-of-control animal, Charlie allows Alastor to adopt a sleepy albino snake dressed in a tiny crown and bowtie. He quickly realizes this isn't an ordinary snake-- it's a menace from Hell.

Charlie & Lucifer are still demon royalty; Charlie is attempting a preventative approach by rescuing and training therapy animals to improve mental health/reduce crime on Earth. Lucifer came down to help her but spends most of his time lounging around in snake form

Refusing to name his snake, Alastor sarcastically calls Lucifer "your majesty" because he acts so spoiled (refuses to hunt the mice, only lounges around in sunny areas, clingy, etc)

Meanwhile, Lucifer can't escape Alastor's apartment because his powers are significantly weakened in the mortal realm & he's constantly freezing (poor Luci is cold blooded & Alastor can't afford heating)

I can't decide if I want to draw a comic with them or write a fic so I might do a combo. Either way all posts I make for this AU will be under #adopting the devil au 🐍

First time I drew Lucifer last year! I made a few design choices that I still draw him with today:

appleseed buttons (duh)

apple butterfly bowtie (represents freedom bc of knowledge)

angel wings collar pin w/ stars (i don't draw this one often anymore)

I love adding these details but I can never draw his fluffy pompadour the same twice 🥲

Sunshowers - The Morningstars learn a new Southern phrase

(And Lucifer regrets making it rain to end the tour early)

Comic I drew last week after I learned from my Louisiana friend that "the devil is beating his wife and marrying his daughter" is a common turn of phrase for sunshowers (when it's sunny and raining). Definitely has implications I don't think Lucifer would appreciate 😭
