For the ancient Egyptians a persons body was composed of eight distinct aspects:⠀

The Ka is administered at birth with the first breath of life. Breathing exercises increase our universal life force. Breathing is the shortest connection to our soul, to our divinity. ⠀

Thinking a lot about how spiritualism can help us fighting the negative consequences from colonialism and neo-colonialism. ⠀⠀

I think when people are ignorant and racist this days, it doesn’t come from unknowingness. There’s a lot of free and easy accessible information on topics such as anti-racism and critical thinking, decolonisation, critical whiteness, intersectional feminism, etc. ⠀⠀
Due to this given background it’s a choice to stay racist, sexist and ignorant. As well as it is a choice to become a better and decent human being by doing further studies and to face up one’s own shadows. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
That’s why I don’t understand how people still ask, “It’s 2020, how can they be so racist?” They chose. It has nothing to do with the year we live in. It might be 2099 and people still chose to be racist and ignorant. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
But let’s go back to how spiritualism can help us dealing with the consequences of colonialism and neo-colonialism. ⠀⠀
Decolonizing of the mind leads to decolonizing of the soul. ⠀⠀
We start seeing without the white gaze, without a Eurocentric view, without a patriarchic view. Views which doomed traditional African spiritualities as uncivilised, savage and evil and stripped them away from us. ⠀⠀
As we go on decolonizing our souls we feel empowered and value the spiritual principles our ancestors gained through their studies of nature. ⠀⠀
We are able to feel comfortable and at home in traditional african spiritual practices. ⠀⠀
We recover our true undisturbed humanity, after hundreds of years of dehumanization of our bodies, minds and souls. ⠀⠀
We heal ✨⠀⠀

Sesh Pose: In this variation of Sesh Pose we are sitting on our toes. This pose stimulates the reflexology points on the feet which are connected to the brain. Giving us better memory, focus, creativity and intuition. The scribes of Kemet would sit in this pose for hours in order to optimise their mental abilities. 
How to do Sesh Pose: 1. We kneel down and keep our knees together. 2. We flex the toes underneath the feet. 3. We try to keep the heels connected and sit on top of our heels. 
Sesh Pose is a great sitting posture for meditation and breathing exercises.
✨Sesh Pose resembles the Indian Yoga Pose Vajrasana. Vajra means Diamond, thunderbolt and the powerful. And Asana posture. ✨This sitting posture is also part of a sequence of movements in Islamic prayers. ✨In Japan it is called Kiza, which means kneeling seat.
