My Brother’s Dream: My younger brother, Ahmad, is 14 years old and in the third grade of preparatory school. We’ve always called him "Doctor of the Future" because of his intelligence and his natural talent in mathematics. Unfortunately, this is the second year he has been deprived of schooling due to the conflict.

Our Life in Displacement: The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we have been living in a tent for months. Each day, my brother and I wake up to fetch water, gather wood, and light a fire to prepare food. Survival has become our daily task, but we haven't given up hope. The conflict has affected us deeply, but it has not extinguished our dreams of education and a better future.

My name is Aya, I'm 29 years old. I'm married to Jihad, who is 32, and we have three beautiful children: Abdelrahman (7 years old), Jori (5 years old), and Adam (2 years old). We live in the northern part of Gaza.

Abdelrahman, Adam, and Jori are the heartbeat of my heart and the light of my life.

Abdelrahman: the lion of the house, the helpful and loving boy to his siblings and family.

Jori: my beloved girl, the one closest to my heart, and my little mini-me.

Adam: my little hero and my spoiled child.

Since the onset of the latest war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us into displacement. We’ve had to move more than thirteen times in search of safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced severe hunger and malnutrition that nearly took my life and the lives of my children. Additionally, we were exposed to numerous contagious diseases and dangerous epidemics.

Before: This is our home, our dream, and our promising future.

My children have to travel long distances just to get water and stand in line for hours to get food. Their mental health has been shattered by the war, their education has come to a halt, and they have suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.

After: This is our home, built with our sweat and effort, and it has been completely destroyed.

The Right to a Peaceful Life

My children deserve to live a peaceful life free from fear and anxiety. I dream of your help to support my family and escape this genocide. Your assistance means the world to me and my children.

Edit: Fixed some minor translation errors and added a few more findings.

Some observations on the new villain's personality based on my current knowledge of Japanese: I could be wrong.

Here, he says あまり油断するなよ: Don't let your guard down too much.

The kanji for Let your guard down 油断 - pronounced 'yudan', written ゆだん in hiragana (actually visible here in the screenshot over 油断 !)

It's very similar in sound and character(s) to 油単 - 'yutan', ゆたん, which can mean greasy. Both words here share 油 (oil), so there's a definite link: they're also written in the exact same way in hiragana except with the first sentence having a diacritic (dakuten) in the middle section. For reference:

あまりゆたんするなよ

And because of the writing stroke order, you'd be writing the 'Greasy' meaning first before changing ta to da to get 'Let your guard down'.

But back to the kanji, if you swap these two words in his sentence to make

あまり油単するなよ (literal translation: Don't be/get too greasy)

it can also be read as meaning 'Don't be too careless/reckless' which essentially means the same thing. Think of it as getting 'Don't be careless' and 'Don't get greasy' from 'Don't get into a mess.'

I think Mr. Top Hat here was making a pun towards his mechanical henchmen with that syllable difference and specifically picking words with kanji and hiragana that related to grease, since grease/oil is used for machines and all that. Funny if he has a sense of humour, given his spooky appearance and the current portrayal as someone working sinisterly behind the scenes. At the very least I suspect a slightly sardonic personality.

I also did some reading on the use of なよ (indicating an imperative command: here, it's 'Don't') in the sentence as I'm not too familiar with it as a contraction of なさい (polite-yet-firm command) and よ (sentence-ending particle; adds tone) but the consensus seems to be it indicates familiarity with some patronizing tones, and implies seniority. It's also quite informal.

Another source said it gave the impression of being disinterested in an outcome(or response), which I found interesting given my above impression of him being sardonic.

よ as a sentence-ending particle is a tone used when providing new information or perspectives: the dialogue here, telling them not to let their guard down, looks like advice as much as it is a command when all of this is put together.

よ also asserts authority, emphasis and certainty and can kinda make the sentence tone read as 'Don't let your guard down too much, now..' - like imparting advice - As in, he's worded it in a way that imposes the answer and attitude he wants from them: a direct command hidden in a ~suggestion~ fitting with the patronising theme. However, it sounds slightly wry, and a bit like he's trailing off or giving a cryptic undertone - it's more introspective, and may be due to the use of な here.

Overall: Wry, slightly unsettling old man who takes himself seriously but doesn't extend the same courtesy to other people. I think the potential joke in the first half might be him slightly mocking the Extension Corps, though the language used indicates they all work together closely (I suspect he built them). Probably not the best boss these guys have to work for.

HUGE Ghost Host vibes from him; it matches the dry humour and ominous suggestions. You can see in the link below, the Japanese transcript for Tokyo's Haunted Mansion ride, that there's a lot of sentences ending in な: the speech really is quite similar.

Bonus: under the cut is a potential spoiler for this guy's name (for the Japanese version at least)

It may not be him, since Mr. Top Hat's dialogue follows a ??? in place of a name, but if the first screenshot is him leaving some advice and this screenshot takes place afterwards, they might be naming him for us later on. It fits with the warning he gave them.

Villains usually have a portmanteau name in this series, and the most I can come up with is that it's supposed to be a joke on 'Rude' (based on his personality) and, well, 'Rudolph.' If you write 'Rude' in katakana - the Japanese alphabet for foreign names and words (which Rudolph is written in here) - you get these two characters (ー indicates an elongated sound)

I know it won't be the same in the EU/US release, but I actually do like this name for him and hope it stays.
