We have reached our minimum for beta readers! We’d certainly like to have more, of course, but if you were stuck between which role to choose, we now have enough betas to cover our minimum of 15 writers.

We’re very close to reaching our goal for artists and betas! We need two (2) more of each to sign up before we have that squared away!

As for writers, we need 8 more to sign up! As stated before, the minimum word count for this event is 2,000 words! Current WIPs are also acceptable provided a significant portion of it hasn’t already been published or it’s not an update to an ongoing fic!

Is a fic allowed to be set in an already established fic series? Or does it have to be a completely stand alone story?

Your teammates/readers shouldn’t require research or footnotes embedded into your fic to understand what’s going on. That being said, if the fic you are writing for this event can be read as a standalone fic, you may add to an established fic universe (provided it isn’t a direct sequel to a specific fic). If reading any of the other fics in the series is required in order to understand what’s going on, no.
